I’ve been a long time Lori Foster fan. What really made this story work for me was Sahara. She was not the typical heroine. She was independent and strong in a way that doesn’t always translate well in stories. She knows what she wants and isn’t apologetic. She is sassy, but it’s used in ways that enhances the story. There’s a sweet and vulnerable side to her as well.

Brand has been on Sahara’s radar for a while now. They have an instant attraction that they both seem to fight in their own way but when Sahara is threatened something shifts. He is a sexy protector that matches the feisty Sahara well. They’ve got good chemistry.

The plot was interesting. The writing excellent. The pacing strong. We got to catch up with a few familiar faces, which was great as well. Overall, another great addition to the series.

Safety: No others after they get together. No rape though there is the threat of it. Yes to abuse and captivity.

Fast Burn is the last book in the Body Armor series. After reading book four I had to go back and read the other three books in the series. I'm not sure how I missed the other books. Oops. What drew me in to read the book was the blurb and the fact that I love Lori Foster as an author!

I have been waiting for this story since the first book in the Body Armor series! Brand and Sahara have been dancing around their attraction while Sahara has been attempting to recruit Brand to work for her. In this book, all of that tension comes to a head as Sahara is kidnapped on her way home one evening.
Brand has an interesting back story and you learn a lot more about why he is such a complex character. Of course, as I mentioned above, Sahara has been recruiting Brand to leave his SBC fighting career and join her team, but he is more interested in her than working for her.
If you have read any of the previous books to this series, you have heard about Sahara’s brother Scott, who everyone but Sahara believes is dead. Since his disappearance, she took over her brother’s security business, made it a top notch agency, and began hiring “sexy” bodyguards.
After watching Brand and Sahara dance around each other during the last three books, I LOVED reading their story. It is always great when a story has a strong female character that doesn’t need to be rescued or protected, but allows it and learns to cherish it anyways. I mean the woman takes apart a heater to make a shiv ... those are the details and the depth of character that I have come to expect from Ms. Foster.
I also enjoyed seeing Sahara out of her element around Leese, Miles, Justice, and their significant others. It was a great counterpoint to the tension and relationship between Brand and Sahara. Overall, a great addition to the series. So many points that made me laugh out loud and others that made me want to be a fly on the wall!

This is the book that everyone has been waiting for. This is the story of Sahara and Brand. These two characters were a joy to read because they are both completely stubborn. You will fall in love with Sahara and Brand and how their relationship progresses through the book! In this book you also find out what happened to her brother Scott. The whole time you are trying to figure out what happened to her brother almost two years ago and how a person who is overly infatuated with Sahara worked for her brother. Sahara is such a strong female who never gives up even while she is kidnapped and she ends up making a weapon after she took apart a heater. I won’t give any spoilers but you’ll love the ending of this book. I was not able to put this book down until I read the last page. I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review.

This is the last book in The Body Armour series. Both main characters in this book are Alphas and there is a lot of butting heads between the two. I enjoyed this series and look forward to more books by this author

Sahara’s been trying to get Brand to join Body Armor for a while but also is very attracted to him on a personal level. It was fun to see how the interactions between them progressed throughout the book. The question became if they could keep from constantly butting heads since they were both confident individuals and have take-charge personalities. I loved how Sahara dealt with Brand’s biological mother – very witty. We also find out the reason why Sahara’s brother Scott died/disappeared.

This one is interesting, though I wish the connection between the characters wasn't so instantaneous; it feels a little contrived. But this world of MMA and security remains an interesting one (and who doesn't enjoy a testosterone filled hunk for a hero?)

I loved a previous book in the same series and on the back of reading that book by Lori Foster I thought I'd be pretty confident in loving this book, Sahara's story. And no, it turned out that the magic of that other book (for me anyway) did not spread to include Fast Burn. I will continue to read books by Lori Foster in future however.

I’ve enjoyed Lori Foster’s Body Armor series, but I’ll admit I’ve been waiting for this story. Since the first book I’ve been a bit enamored by agency owner Sahara Silver. She is tough, she is skilled, she is dedicated, and she is persistent and I’ve enjoyed her interactions with Brand Berry as she has tried to recruit him for her stable of ex-MMA fighters turned bodyguards. Fast Burn was fun and sexy, but it also had heart making it a joy to read.

Sahara Silver inherited Body Armor when her brother was declared dead and even though she still doesn’t believe he is dead, she had dedicated herself to making the company bigger and better which is why she has recruited the best men for the job. I liked that Sahara was tough, capable, but also fair and obviously good to the people she employed because they were loyal and protective of her to a fault. She wants Brand Berry to come and work for her because she knows he will be excellent at the job, but if he works for her then that will complicate that attraction that burns between them.

Sahara and Brand were a good match, even though she drove him crazy with her need to do things on her own even when the odds were stacked against her. I love that he admired her resourcefulness and realized quickly she was more than capable of helping herself, but he wanted to protect her all the same. Sahara was so intuitive about Brand’s family complications and I appreciated that she wanted to help him even knowing it would make him angry. I understood her reasoning and while she did eventually see Brand’s side of things, I also think he realized it was her way of helping him even when he didn’t want it.

These were two stubborn alpha people and so it was interesting watching them figure out how to be together and make their life work.
Ms. Foster gave us plenty of time with the crew from the first three books which was nice as we got to see where they are in their relationships and it gave readers good closure to this series.

Fast Burn ends the Body Armor series on a high note with memorable characters, a fast paced action story, and some burning love!

This book hit me right in the feels, it was all about family, blood family or not blood family. The family that Ros has already built up in Brodie and Jack is quite amazing. Then how it has grown with the first two books with Ronnie, Mary, and their added on families. Oh, and the pets really are the whole story, I could read all day about the pets. Howler will always be my favorite, but I am thinking as of right now Brute is pulling up a close second. Lori Foster always creates a whole family dynamic that you would want to be instantly adopted into.

Anyone who has read the first two books has of course been waiting for Charlotte’s book. If you haven’t read the first two no worries this can of course be read as a standalone, however I highly suggest reading the first two! Charlotte is quite an amazing character, while she does have a little bit of a tragic background, she was lucky enough to be raised by Ros and have pseudo brother’s in Brodie and Jack. However, with having these larger than life brothers come some consequences. No one can get near her to date her in their tiny little town without getting their lives threatened. I love her fiery spirit, and how organized she is. It’s really sweet to see how much she is alike with Ros even though she’s not blood related. It’s nice getting more insight into her character because I read the first two books but was really interested in getting to know her more. She turned out to be more honest and open than I was expecting.

Mitch was a great character to be introduced to this series. I was really unsure of his motives at first in the book, but you find out really fast that he just wants to let his family know he exists and that’s it. Of course, Ros has different ideas and immediately takes him like he is one of her own. He’s really guarded about his past because he doesn’t think anyone should share that burden which in all honesty is really sweet, but he obviously doesn’t understand this family very well. I love how the brothers warn him off Charlotte at first, but Mitch already was planning on taking it super slow. (because Lori Foster does slow burn romance) He is so much more like Jack and Brodie than he realizes, and I think it’s cute that he thinks he isn’t.

I really couldn’t find fault with this last book in the trilogy, unless there is another one coming I don’t know about 😉 It was a slow burn romance which I love, not to steamy, the women get to stand up for themselves, lots of pets, great male characters, fantastic old cars… what did I miss? I would really recommend these books…

This was another great book in Lori Fosters' Body Armor series! I received an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an fair and honest review

Sahara is the boss of Body Armor Bodyguard Agency every since her brother was declared dead. Sahara had dedicated herself to making the company the best it can be. She wants Brand Berry to come and work for her because she knows he will be perfect for the job, but he is hesitant to work for her because it might complicate that attraction sizzles between them.

But when Sahara is kidnapped by men searching for her missing brother, he joins the Body Armor Agency to help rescue her and make it his priority to keep her safe. But how long can they resist the chemistry between them?

This book was hot and steamy and full of everything I love in a Lori Foster romance/mystery! Once I started reading this book, I could not put it down. You don't want to miss this sexy final book in the body armor series!

The chemistry between Brand and Sahara is so strong! They are both attracted to each other and equally as stubborn. Sahara wants Brand onboard as a body guard for Body Armor but Brand isn't so sure he wants to work for her. But when Sahara is in danger, Brand goes into protective mode. Ms. Foster does such a great job with her characters. The other former fighters turned body guards are there for each other in both their professional lives as well as in their personal lives. The loyalty they show each other is also shown to Sahara. This book includes mystery, romance and some humor! This is my favorite book in the series and it goes out hot! I voluntarily read an ARC and am leaving my honest review.

I loved every moment of this book, adn these two stole my heart. With all the back and forth, it was just incredible. And I am so happy to see them get their happy ending.

I think that Brand and Sahara were just such an incredible couple from the beginning. I love Sahara's spunk and her determination to be more than a pretty face, and to get Brand as well. And Brand's protective streak that was so caring and sweet but sometimes over bearing I'll admit.

LOVE, LOVE Lori Foster! Sahara Silver has been running Body Armor for her brother, Scott, who is thought to be dead. Sahara has put her own stamp on the business by hiring ex-MMA fighters as elite bodyguards. Sahara is a strong, intelligent, and sexy woman who knows what she wants and goes after it. Sahara has been attracted to Brand Berry since meeting him and has been trying to persuade Brand to join Body Armor. Brand is attracted to Sahara, but he won't become a bodyguard with Sahara being his boss. Brand knows the business comes first for Sahara, and he wants more. When Sahara is kidnapped, Brand steps up to rescue her.Can Brand keep Sahara safe from her kidnappers? What happens when one of her kidnappers becomes enamored with her? Will Sahara finds the answers she was looking for concerning her brother, Scott? The chemistry between Sahara and Brand is off the charts HOT! I love the interaction between all the characters from the previous books as they draw Sahara into their group of friends because she is the boss of Body Armor and her relationship with Brand. Fast Burn by Lori Foster is an amazing book with well developed characters and a story line that will keep the reader on the edge of their seats with action, suspense, and a couple of surprises. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting Fast Burn. Lori Foster never disappoints and keeps getting better and better. A MUST read author for this reader. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Fast Burn
Edgy, sexy, fun banter, action, hottie MMA fighter Brand, and tough, stubborn, good hearted Sahara.

The final book in the Body Armor series Fast Burn lived up to its title. Sahara and Brand have been dancing around each other through the series. Sahara owner of Body Armor Bodyguards, has signed up three of Brand’s fellow MMA fighters, and she wants to sign Brand for more than a bodyguard. Brand is resisting because he wants Sahara, and he wants to be more than an employee to her.

It was fun to see this strong willed couple make their way down a road filled with action, hot sexy scenes, kidnappings, a missing brother, while falling in love. With the help of the other couples in the series how can you not go along for the ride?

I highly recommend the book Fast Burn by Lori Foster. It is the fourth book in the Body Armor series, but can be read as a standalone book. This is the story of Brand Berry and Sahara Silver. The chemistry between these two is HOT HOT HOT!

The main character Sahara Silver owns a bodyguard agency called Body Armor staffed by Ex-MMA fighters. She has wanted Brand Berry to join her agency and continues to harrass him about it. Brand Berry is an MMA fighter who is on the fence about ending his MMA career and joining Body Armor. Brand doesn’t want to join Body Armor because he is interested in Sahara and does not think an employer employee relationship is the best option for them.

Sahara is kidnapped and Brand helps organize her rescue. But tough as nails Sahara didnt’ need rescuing and Brand doesn’t know how to handle this. He wanted to save her, but she’s so competent that he feels she doesn’t need him.

This book had it all, love, romance, intrigue, mystery. I loved it and can’t wait to read more by this author.

Rating: 4.5 stars

This is a pretty fast (ha ha) read! It has a pretty kickass heroine and a great Hero. Sahara and Brand were pretty great together, they had good chemistry and banter together. The action and the plot was pretty decent. The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the way that Brand rejected Sahara again and again, it was annoying me and then her brothers attitude. Anyways I loved Sahara and am happy she got her HEA!

Brand and Sahara have great chemistry and work well together both a the office and in the bedroom. She's used to being the boss and giving orders, but Brand gives her the opportunity to relinquish control when not at work. I loved that the mystery surrounding her brother's disappearance is finally solved. There was enough suspense to keep my hooked, but it did not steal the spotlight from the romance developing between Brand and Sahara. It was also great to see couples from the previous books. I only read the first 2 books in the series before I read this one, so I think it could stand on its own.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book via NetGalley. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.
