Fast Burn is fourth in Lori Foster’s Body Armor series, but don’t worry if you haven’t read the rest. This one stands perfectly well alone.

Sahara Silver is the female CEO of Body Armor, an elite bodyguarding agency. Recruiting highly-skilled MMA fighters, she’s turned her business into the go-to agency for celebrities in the spotlight. Keen to add Brand Berry to her stable of former MMA employees, he’s the one man who seems impervious to her wiles. Or rather, not in the least interested in working for her… only in her, personally.

When trouble comes for Sahara, Brand’s the one who is there for her, even more than her loyal employees. Building a relationship in the midst of disaster isn’t optimum conditions, but it can certainly make for a strong bond, and that’s what happens for this pair.

While (slight spoilers) Sahara gets kidnapped and into sticky situations several times, she’s definitely not a wilting female. Quite the opposite, and though on several situations she’s outmanned and outgunned, her plucky determination and resourcefulness had me rooting for her all along.

Unfortunately, Brand got a bit caveman at times for my taste. He and Sahara came to an agreement early on that she would be the boss when it came to ‘work’ situations and he would be in charge at other times, which would be perfectly fine - except that he constantly argued with and tried to overrule her in situations where she was clearly more experienced than he was. All ‘for her own good’, of course.

Being an alpha male is one thing. Being an alpha a-hole is something else, and I’m afraid Brand tipped over the line into the latter for me. So even though I loved Sahara and this was well-written and edited, I really can’t give it any more than three stars.

Fast Burn by Lori Foster is a well written and entertaining read.
The storyline held my interest all throughout the book, it was well paced, enough drama and suspense to keep you turning the pages and I loved watching Brand and Sahara come together.
These two made me laugh and they made me swoon, they had amazing chemistry and I loved how they just got each other.

Fast Burn is the fourth book in the Body Armor series, each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them.

Sahara has assumed control of the Body Armor Agency ever since her brother went missing but she has not given up the search to find him and that he will return. In the interim she has hired three former MMA stars and now all she needs to do is convince Brand to join and the team will be complete.

Brand decides to join the team but it wasn’t because she managed to convince him it was because she has been kidnapped and he will do whatever is necessary to bring her back safely. He has been very attracted to her for a while and that is one of the reasons why he was leery to join the team.

When they manage to bring her home he makes it his mission to ensure that he is around 24/7 to protect her and with the chemistry between them that is not something that either of them minds but will they be able to find out the truth about her brother before it is too late?

This was a great series and this story is no exception. The chemistry between the two was intense and they were able to challenge each other which just made their connection deeper. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Fast Burn is the fourth and final book in the Body Armor series. This can be read as a standalone but is more enjoyable if you read the previous books. I loved Sahara and Brands story. This was my favorite book in the series without a doubt. Fast Burn had the perfect balance of romance, suspense and action.

It is no secret how big of a fan I am of Lori’s. I know I’ve said this before in some fashion or another but her writing really is like a fine wine that just gets better and better. With each novel I fall a bit more in love with her writing. Fast Burn is remarkable. This is the fourth installment in the Body Armor series but could easily be read alone. However, on that note, you will definitely want to travel back to the first or even beyond (as a few characters from other series all intertwine). In this novel we meet Sahara who is a hard working driven woman. She is in charge of the agency, in which we meet the hero, where she has employed Brand. They have a very flirty relationship and the quips, flirtation and overall banter add a level of giddy happiness to the overall feel of the book. Especially when things take a turn and Sahara is kidnapped. Brand steps in to be the hero to retrieve her but not before mystery, intrigue and a lot of holding your breath occurs. For two people to go from quick witted flirtation to a deeper understanding of love this novel stands above the rest so far – and that’s saying a lot since each new novel is my new favorite. This is one I plan on reading again and again. I’d give it ten stars but…alas, I can only give it five.

This is the best book of the series, too bad, it's the last one. This is an excellent example of what I class as Romantic-Suspense Lite. Romance, suspense/mystery on the light side with a touch of humor. This book does it all and extremely well. I can't wait to read what Lori Foster does next.

Throughout the series there has been an overarching mystery: What actually happened to Scott Silver, the founder of Body Armor. Sahara has been determined to make Body Armor the very best name in personal protection and the legacy her brother left her is now one of the top. She has always maintained that Scott is alive and she wants Body Armor to be better than when her brother left it and she has succeeded. Now, if only her brother would return. Everyone thinks he's dead, everyone but Sahara.

Brand Berry was blown away by the sassy, take charge, beautiful, compassionate Sahara Silver. Sahara is after Brand to leave the MMA fight world and join Body Armor, and has been for months. Sahara knows that he will make an excellent addition to her staff and if not her staff, then possibly her bedroom. For Sahara, the her brother's agency always comes first, but Brand needs more. He has been putting off both the invitation to join Body Armor and the invitation to Sahara's bed. When she’s kidnapped by men searching for her missing brother, he doesn’t hesitate to join the Body Armor Boys and kick some kidnapper a--. After the rescue he makes it his priority to cover Sahara, every single delectable inch of her.

The kidnapper wants more from Sahara than just the money he feels Scott owes him. He wants Sahara and is not going to give up just because a muscle bound Neanderthal appears to have staked a claim on her.

"Fast Burn" (Body Armor Book ) by Lori Foster is a fantastic read. I loved Sahara and Brand's story. This book is a wonderful addition to the Body Armor series, packed with passion, romance, action, suspense, twists and turns, MMA fighters, entertaining characters, and more. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, MMA, and series.

Fast Burn was a great way to end the series. Finally we get Sahara and Brand's story. Ms. Foster always saves the best for last. Sahara has been trying to hire Brand for her agency, but he has been resisting. She also wants him in her bed. Brand has been fighting his feelings for a long time. When Sahara is kidnapped, Brand decides it's up to him to protect her at all cost.

Sahara has been a great character to follow. She is a commanding woman who everyone likes and respects. She has a hard exterior, but can also show a softer side. What I loved about Brand was the way he didn't try to change her strong mind and authority. Well, except when he wanted to protect her. Sahara was also able to let her guard down around Brand. They were a great match and it was fun to watch them banter and feed off each other. There were a lot of funny moments. Not to mention some very steamy bedroom scenes.

As usual, I won't give away any plot, it would ruin so much. We do get to find out what happened to Scott, Sahara's brother. It was a good mystery with some finger nail biting scenes. It's out today. Go read it! You won't be sorry. While I am sad to see this series end and to say goodbye to a long list of characters that I have loved for years, I do look forward to seeing what Ms. Foster comes up with next.

Sahara Silver has been trying to persuade Brand to join Body Armor. But the man has been holding out on her. Brand isn’t sure he wants to mix business with pleasure. If he’s interested in Sahara for more, he doesn’t want her in charge when Brand is used to being the one in charge. As Sahara’s life becomes threatened, Brand is pulled in closer and wants to protect her. And will Sahara finally find out what happened to her brother?

“It was a battle of wills, each of them trying to take control…until Brand backed her up so that her thighs bumped into her desk. Proving his strength, he scooped her up one-handed and sat her on the edge.

Against her lips, he said, ‘Open your legs.’

Never one to give in easily, she asked, ‘Why?’

‘I want between them.’

Oookay. That sounds enticing.”

I have been waiting and waiting for Sahara’s story. That lady had me so curious for her background and what happened with her brother. Brand was the perfect fit for her. Sahara has a strong personality and usually likes to control everything around her. Brand is just too self-assured to allow a woman to always be in charge. Especially in the bedroom. As much as these two clash, it is definitely more foreplay than serious disagreements. I loved their passionate relationship and the family these fighters and bodyguards have created. Sahara needed that in her life and somehow taking over her brother’s business gave Sahara everything that was missing in her life.

I can’t recommend Lori Foster’s series enough. Not just the Body Armor series but her MMA series as well. They are always fun to read and the guys just work their ways inside your heart.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoy Lori Foster’s writing style. This a story involving two strong characters, Brand and Sahara. Their relationship was fun to watch, confrontations, laughs and steam. It is a stand-alone book but I love that she brings in previous characters and family atmosphere. Enjoy!

The final book in Lori Foster’s “Body Armor” series is definitely a “Fast Burn”. Bringing Sahara Silver and Brand Berry under one roof is sizzling chemistry to burn them and the fiery passion for each other burns the sheets.

Owner of the elite Body Armor serving sexy and badass MMA fighters as bodyguards, Sahara Silver is one damn savvy business -woman, sexy, intelligent and fearless! But Brand Berry brings out the fears and insecurities along with his special Brand of passion and protection for the woman he’s loved for a while.

Two amazing characters scorching the pages and with Lori Foster as the narrator, with enough suspense, drama and supporting characters, “Fast Burn” is a winner all the way!

What a great story once again by Lori Foster!
This book follows Sahara, now owner of Body Armor due to her brother Scott's "death", as she tries to recruit another member, Brand who's an MMA fighter as well like the others. With Brand it's different, she wants him personally also, and he doesn't want to join the group because he wants her as well!
Follow their story in this amazing story filled with tender moments as well as the great action that makes the story! Grab your copy as soon as you can!! 5 stars for this one!

Sahara Silver has always been convinced that her brother Scott isn't dead- despite all evidence to the contrary. She's sure she would feel it if he was gone and has always tried to look at inheriting his Body Armor agency as keeping it in trust until he comes back. Of course, she doubts he'd agree with some of her decisions- like hiring sexy ex-MMA fighters as body guards. One particularly sexy, not quite ex-fighter she hasn't succeeded in hiring is Brand Berry. He's interested, and he likes her, but she hasn't managed to seal the deal. When she gets kidnapped by men looking for her brother Sahara is thrilled to know someone besides her thinks Scott is still alive- but not so thrilled at the danger she's in now. Brand and his friends come to the rescue, and now its up to all of them to keep Sahara safe and find out what is going on before it's too late!

Readers of the Body Armor series (Close Contact, Hard Justice, Under Pressure) have been waiting for Sahara and Brand's story for awhile now. It's obvious where the sparks between the two should lead- but how to get them there? Sahara is a tough woman who's used to always being in control, Brand's a confident man who uses control to win his fights. Both have to learn how to give and take to make a relationship work. I liked how well Foster balanced Sahara's being the boss of a male dominated agency with Brand's convincing her she didn't have to be the boss outside of work as well- and she was allowed to have more of a life than just work! That she could be a strong woman but still compromise in her private life. He made it clear to her that he stood behind her when it was work related, and he wouldn't try to take control from her. It was hard for Sahara to find that balance, and I wish we'd seen a little more of the relationships in her past that made her the way she is now, but by the end we saw enough of her relationship with Scott to make her attitude pretty understandable. But Foster continues to give us strong, likable female (and male) characters who learn to balance toughness with softer emotions like love and be better for it by the end of the book.

The mystery behind Scott's disappearance and Sahara's kidnapping gets interesting and twisted, and without giving anything away I wonder if we'll be seeing more of Ross- the ringleader behind the kidnapping. Fast Burn is a fast-paced page turner full of Foster's usual blend of wonderful characters, witty dialogue, and intriguing suspense. While readers new to the series won't feel lost starting with this book (each in the series is stand alone), long-time readers will be happy to see characters they already know pop up along the way.

A great book to end the Body Armor series. Can't wait to see what Lori Foster has in store for us next!

Thank you Net-Galley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. I volunteered to read it and no form of payment was received.

This is the first book I have read in the series and I wish I had read the other 3 before this one even though it is ok to read as a standalone. I will be going back and reading the other 3.

Brand and Sahara are the main characters in this book. I really loved Brand. Sahara is a great character she is a strong female character. There were times I wished she would have let Brand and her team take care of her, not that she couldn't do it herself but at times I think she could have taken the shoulder to lean on. The chemistry between them is hot and I loved that Brand wasn't pushed over by her, and he got her to loosed up at times.

I loved the secondary characters that have already had their own books and I can't wait to go read them. I loved that Lori mentioned Rowdys bar from another series in this one because that was Rowdys story was the book that introduced me to the author!

Finally! We have a heroine who is strong, independent, and definitely able to take on an alpha male and not be left behind. Sahara inherited Body Armor when her brother turned up missing and presumed dead and she has made several changes including adding MMA fighters as bodyguards and her latest conquest is Brand, though he has been resistant at every turn. This book starts out with Sahara being kidnapped by men who insist her brother owe them money and this is just the wake up call Brand needs. Does he want to join the agency? Not necessarily but he definitely is going to get Sahara back and that he does and once he has her back he is not letting her out of his grasp. Watching these two come together was inspiring and so much FUN. I could not turn the pages fast enough! This was the best way to end this series (even though I hate to see it end) but watching Brand and Sahara find their way was worth every single minute, every single gasp, every single page. I definitely recommend this one!

This was a really fun addition to the Body armor series.
Sahara is a character that we've seen in each of the previous Body Armor stories, but haven't gotten to know very well as she has always been a secondary character. Brand has also appeared in the previous books and it was great to get to know them both better here.
Fast Burn is pretty much what I would expect from Ms. Foster and this series. Brand is a very alpha, protective hero with a soft side for his special lady. Sahara is a strong heroine who learns that it's okay to lean on someone else once in a while. Building from back story created in the other books, Fast Burn launches right into the intrigue aspect of the story with the relationship and romance elements coming in a bit later.
A quick and entertaining read with great characters and strong story line, Fast Burn is a book I would definitely recommend. My only caution would be for someone just starting the series because while this story is independent, there are several points from previous books that are referenced here. Having read the previous books would just make this more that much more entertaining.

The final entry of Lori Foster's Body Armor series is definitely the best saved for last! Fast Burn turns the attention on the big boss, Sahara Silver, as she believes against all odds that her brother is still alive and protecting her from the shadows.

Sahara has built up her brother's agency to be more appealing to a wider variety of clientele, thus the hard bodied men, who are former MMA fighters, hired to protect. One man she has yet to convince is Brand Berry, who absolutely refuses to work for her. Both Brand and Sahara have alpha mentalities, but Brand makes Sahara question her bossiness and whether she's taken it too far. However, when kidnappers hold Sahara hostage over money that her brother owes them, Brand steps in without hesitation. Now that he's stepped into the role of protector, Brand hopes to persuade Sahara into giving up her tightly held control.

I can't say that I liked Fast Burn better than Hard Justice, because I went absolutely gaga over Justice and Fallon, but it comes quite close for me. Brand and Sahara were fun and flirty and they both kicked butt! The story itself kept me on edge and tingling from all the heat and passion coming from Brand and Sahara. I really loved the antagonist's perspective thrown in the story every now and then. He was an unknown entity who made it seem like there was more to Sahara's brother's supposed death and kept the story heightened in suspense. Lori Foster's style of writing is inviting no matter what she writes. It's so easy to connect with her characters and the plot ticks all the boxes for an amazing contemporary romance you just can't put down!

Overall, Fast Burn, is not a bad way to end the Body Armor series. It's a bittersweet parting, but Lori Foster has definitely written a story to remember!

Fast Burn by Lori Foster is the Fourth book in the Body Armor series. This is the story of Brand Berry and Sahara Silver. I haven't yet read the previous books in this series, so for me it was a standalone book.
Sahara is the boss at the Body Armor Bodyguard Agency after her brother is missing an presumed that he has died. Sahara has been trying to get Brand to join her agency but he is more interested in her and doesn't mix pleasure with business. But Shara is more into the business but when she is kidnapped by people who are looking for her brother... Brand steps up to the plate.
This was a really exciting hot read that was hard to put down!

Sahara wants two things: her supposed-to-be-death brother back and for Brand to work for her on her security agency as a bodyguard.

Brand is a professional MMA fighter who never wanted Sahara as his boss. Not when he wanted her as something more. They have been playing their game for some time now but when Sahara is kidnapped there’s nothing keeping him away from her. He will be the bodyguard she always wanted him to be, but instead of working for her, he will be working on protecting her.

First of all, the characters in this book are really amazing! You know when you read a book and you instantly feel more close to a character than the other because the first one has a stronger part in the story? Well, you won’t have that with this book! Both main characters are incredibly strong and independent!

Sahara is the strongest female character that I have seen in a long time! After her brother disappeared she kept his business running and simply improved it! Her strong suit is really her job! She loves it and she knows she’s good at it! And that’s the main reason that made me fall in love with her! Her witty and free spirit along with her sassiness was the perfect mix!

Then we have Brand, a bundle of muscle, and love! I mean, who doesn’t love a strong man with a soft heart? Besides that, he’s also good at getting his way when it comes to Sahara’s bossiness which was really fun to witness!

For those who read and loved the previous books of the series (Under pressure, Hard justice, Close contact), here you will have the opportunity to revisit some of your favorite characters which is a plus!

Overall, the book is amazing! So if you want romance, suspense and action to keep you entertained, I highly recommend this!

I loved Lori Foster's Body Armor series!!!! I was excited to get to read Sahara's story. I knew she always has hope for her brother to come back and take back his company. So she pushes through and becomes successful with not only recruiting the best she can get for her body guards, but they have to be sexy! I tell you, I do not mind that one bit! I need her phone number, you know just in case I need someone protecting my body lol.

Brand is a whole new character that Sahara has her sights on. She definitely thinks he is the perfect fit for Body Armor. He just has one more fight left, but no matter what keeps declining the offer. When things become personal, the heat between these two flourish. I love the sexiness level Lori brings to the book. Brand and Sahara are added to my list for favorite couples. That said, they had to work on their relationship. Emotions came up and down.

I enjoyed spending time with the characters from the previous books to this series. Fast Burn has you glued to each page and anticipating every word that comes next.
