Sadie Robertson may only be 20 years old, but she is already much wiser beyond her years. Think of how many child actors have grown up to be lost in the drug and party scene of Hollywood. Too many to count. While much of her life was shown in front of the camera on Duck Dynasty, she has stayed true to herself, her faith and her family. She has provided a great example for the younger generation that you can be a Christian and be cool, that you can be yourself and not need a bottle of pills to be cool, that you can have both success and your faith - it's not an either/or situation. She has offered a refreshing alternative to what we currently see the younger generation has to look up to.

Now let's talk about her book Live Fearless. I don't know a person out there, religious or not, who has not faced or dealt with fear. We all have it in our lives. It's the elephant in the room people don't like to admit to having. And don't let Sadie's age deceive you that she doesn't legitimately have something constructive to add to the conversation about how to live without fear. This book, beautifully and excellently written, is a guide to help you dig through the root of your fears and a process to help walk the reader through reflections and discussions to put you on the path of spiritual growth from your fears - to help you live fearless! This isn't just a 12-step process. Her book is filled with quotes, scripture, real life testimony and experiences and lots of encouraging words and prayer. You don't need to be a teenager or young adult to appreciate or learn from this book. I found this book really helpful for me. And you don't need to be a Christian for the narrative and activities to work in your life.

This is a well thought out book, devotional and guide that I immensely enjoyed and see this book being one I pass on to many of my friends and family.

My thanks to Sadie Robertson and Thomas Nelson Publishing for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wonderful and inspiring book. I love that she is not afraid to be who she was raised to be. If only all young people in this day and age lived without fear of being judged for the beliefs that were instilled in them. This young lady is destined for great things!

I have read of Sadie Robertsons past books and loved them. This one was no different. She is so inspirational and she seems so sweet.

I really enjoyed Duck Dynasty when the show came on. While my family isn't big into hunting, I liked how their family dynamic and culture wasn't too far off from what I'm familiar with. I grew up in the country. We had one caution light (not even a full red light) in my home town. So I related to their country living lifestyle. Also being a Christian it was so refreshing to see a family with similar morals and beliefs who weren't afraid to speak about their faith. Plus the Christian faith isn't something we get much from television these days--especially in any kind of positive light. That being said I always liked what I saw of Sadie on the show. I was glad to see that she was taking her opportunities to be a role model for other young adults of this generation.

I don't feel like I've had too much trouble with fear in my life. Of course I have fears but I've never felt controlled by them. Yet while reading Live Fearless I did realize that I'd let fear stop me from doing a few things throughout my life that might have been really fun (going to summer camp as a kid for instance). But I've not experienced the level of fear that Sadie discussed in this book. So I wasn't reading this for personal help so much as curiosity.

From a writing stand point there were a few too many "I'll talk more about this later" type of statements for my taste. In my experience the reader doesn't really need these statements. I don't know how much of that was Sadie's idea or perhaps an editor's. Either way it happened too frequently for my preferences.

One thing I absolutely loved about this book was that Sadie did a great job showing how a Christian can be struggling with a particular area of their life yet still have a vibrant and rich relationship with God. He still uses us and works on us. Because let's be honest... There are no sinless or perfect people. Only Jesus filled the role. So imperfect and struggling with the flesh people are there only people God has to work with because that's who we are. Yet God can still use us for His purposes. And one thing my brother always says is that God is always working on more than one person at the same time.

I also appreciated that while Sadie was open about her struggles with fear she didn't find it necessary to inform the readers about the specifics of the sin she might have experienced in every example she used in this book. She does talk about confession and confessing your sins and struggles to someone you trust, but God doesn't instruct us to confess every sin to every person. It isn't necessary for the reader to know the specifics of every sin she's struggled with in her life.

Favorite quotes:
-If you fear amything other than God, you're giving it too much power in your life. - My mom

-"God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him."

-Our job isn't to figure out what the picture will ultimately look like; it's to walk where He leads.

-Don't let shame or regret steal your future the way fear has stolen your past.

I feel that Live Fearless is a great book for the young adults of this generation. I took plenty away from it even though this book reminded me that I'm no longer in that phase of my life (the young adult part even though I still think of myself that way). I think if fear is something you struggle with this book would be helpful for you no matter your age. Live Fearless gets 4 Stars. Have you read Live Fearless? What did you think? Let me know!

I am a teenager and reading this book was such an amazing experience. I enjoyed reading this so much, and I could relate to a lot of what Sadie Robertson said. This book definitely helped me view things in a new way, and I definitely recommend this book to every teenager, whether you are having trouble in your spiritual walk or not.

So it's been a few days since I finished reading this and I think it is time i post a review. I was sent this book in exchange for an honest review by Netgalley. At first I did not know what to expect going into this book. However once I started it quickly became a joyful and fun read for me. It was a simple reminder that you do not have to live in fear. It's a choice and one that you get to make about your own life. Overall I really enjoyed this and think it would really benefit anyone who suffers with fear and anxiety.

This was such a great read by a young lady who is a truly beautiful example of young Christian leadership. In today's society of young people who are out to corrupt our youth, I am so thankful to the Lord for role models like her! Even though I am a lot older than Sadie, I still got so much out of her book. We live in a society that constantly feeds our anxiety and fear. This was a great book on prioritizing a way to gain control over our fears and truly LIVE FEARLESS! I would highly recommend this book to anyone who finds themselves struggling with fear or anxiety or knows someone who does. I highlighted the parts that I thought were important and have already found myself going back to it for references not only for myself, but also when working through my son's fears.

It is hard to live fearless in a world that makes you feel so fearful. What is even harder is to be fearless and put your trust in God and live by faith. Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real- we all KNOW this but we don't KNOW KNOW.

I appreciated this book, it is a timely reminder to cast ALL our fears on God and trust in him. Living in fear means you are not achieving your full purpose in life.

I loved how the book had different prompts that cause you to pause and really think about your answers. I especially love the prayers in each section. Sometimes it is hard to really pray specifically and I think the prayers were a major stand out for me.

A solid spiritual read.

As a person who struggles with severe depression, chronic exhaustion, this book was a welcome respite from reality. This book was inspiration and hope in my darkest hour. I found it comforting and uplifting. Even if you don't believe in religion or just need to know you matter, this book is what you need. Sadie reminds us to be fearless and love ourselves, to be kind, caring, loving...no matter how small the promoting...to listen to your heart. To know your own worth in God's eyes and your own.

Ultimately, this book was a life tool by Sadie for reducing fear in your life. Was it a little preachy? Absolutely. But it was inspirational and well done.

If you are a young girl struggling with fear or anxiety, this book is a must read! As always, Sadie does an excellent job of being vulnerable about her struggles and giving all the glory to God. This isn't just a general book on fear. It is packed full of specific, personal examples that I think more of us can relate to than we want to admit. Throughout the book, Sadie equips her readers with the tools necessary to overcome fear paired with encouragement and practical challenges. I would recommend that all teen girls read this book along with women of all ages who struggle with fear.

Not just for teens.

I feel like this book is probably marketed towards teens. Or at least that was my assumption when I started reading it. I thought I would read it first then pass it on to my 16 year old. I was so pleasantly surprised though.
Full of truth delivered in such a sweet voice. I've heard Sadie on a podcast (and enjoyed it so much I listened a second time). I've even watched a few of her messages online. She is a young woman who is on fire for God and you can feel that in her words.
A must pick up IMO.

Not sure how this book ended up being requested, I don't have an interest in reading this book because of it's involvement in faith. Thank you for sending it to me regardless, and I hope I get the chance you read more of the books you have in the future, both by this author and others as well.

Not what I thought it was going to be. But it was a good book.
I thought it was going to be more about her and how she lives her life. But it was more bible study then that.

Live Fearless by Sadie Robertson...where do I even start? This book swept me off my feet. I know it takes a lot of courage to be vulnerable, and this book was full of vulnerability from Sadie about times she was afraid and how she overcame fear.

I loved everything about this book! I was afraid it was going to be a nice concept without much practical application, but Sadie made it personal and relatable and it really hit close to home for me.  I really appreciated her personal testimonies and revelations of what God spoke to her.

Having followed Sadie for several years now, I did recognize many things in the book from previous messages she's said, but it was good to read them again and see how it all connected for her personally.  Some of my favorite parts of the book included her messages about plankton, connect the dots, and the real verses true comparisons.  Sadie got SO REAL in this book and I know that it will be freeing for so many people!

At the end of each chapter, she had questions, challenges, Scriptures, prayers, and journalling opportunities to help make the concept presented in the chapters personalized and applicable to the reader.  I highly recommend this to people of pretty much any age.  I believe this book will really make an impact on those who are willing to answer some tough questions about themselves.

I downloaded this book and didn't realize the format was epub file. I tried opening it several months later and found I didn't have access to the file any more. I am sure it was a great book.

This was an ok book. I did not realize it was written for those much younger than myself.

I would recommend this well written and truly helpful book to those who are looking for words of encouragement, those who may be going through a tough time and need help getting through it, and those who are struggling to overcome their fears. I think it would be especially helpful to the teen getting ready to graduate high school (possibly sophomores and juniors as well) and also to the young adult who is finishing college and beginning life on their own.

Ms. Robertson provides helpful narratives and activities in the book that will help you on your journey to living your life fearlessly. As you read the book it comes off more like a conversation between friends than it does just a book you are reading for the information it contains. And your friend truly wants to see you overcome the things in your life that are holding you back, that cause a fear in you and to find your passion and purpose.

Despite the fact that it's definitely not my word for the year, fear seems to be taking a front row seat in my reading. Not only have I read a few books combating fear this year, the high school retreat we had a few months ago focused on Joshua and how he faced his fears as well.  Combating fear is never an easy task, but in her new book Live Fearless, Sadie Robertson reminds us that it is possible.

I've been a Roberston family fan since the early days of Duck Dynasty. Though I don't know them personally, their willingness to speak about and share their faith has been encouraging. Their fight to teach their children morals and manners and faith is encouraging. I've watched Sadie Robertson from afar as she danced on Dancing With the Stars, begun creating fashion lines, and even speaking.

In reading Live Fearless, I was reminded once again of the fact that we really don't get to see what's going on inside a person. Especially when we see them on "reality" TV or through social media. Robertson shares how she has battled some serious issues in her life as a result of fear. She's had to push through the fear and learn how to live fearlessly based on truth in scripture.

Live Fearless is the perfect book for a teenager who might be struggling right now with fear. I wasn't the target audience. But there was still plenty for me to glean from the message Robertson shares within these pages. She writes a genuine message that shares her heart for others to find freedom like she has.

Robertson may not have set out to be a role model for young girls. But she is filling in that role quite well. She's sharing the message God has given her.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. This review is my own, honest opinion.

Sadie Robertson, bestselling author and star of Dancing with the Stars, has an important message for her generation: you don’t have to be held back by fear, anxiety, or loneliness anymore. In Live Fearless, Sadie takes you on a thrilling personal journey toward power, passion, and purpose as you live at the center of who God created you to be!...From Publisher

Sadie uses her personal journey to share how she has learned to live reducing her fear. The first half of the book, seemed preachy or didactic to this reader. The bible verses shared was helpful and enlightening and her sharing of her experience with Dancing with the Stars was interesting.  The second half of the book was much more readable and was easier to pull out the nuggets Sadie shared. Although the pulling out of the "note" helped the reader understand what Sadie felt important, it broke up the flow of the reading of Live Fearless. Examples of prayers when applying God's word will be helpful to those teens who are still new to their faith. This book should be given to both believers and nonbelievers alike, giving them a roadmap or an alternative to living in fear. Recommended to any young adult, especially young ladies who can relate with Sadie and her fear.

I received an ARC ebook from Netgalley  and the publisher, Thomas Nelson in exchange for an honest review.

I am reviewing a copy of Live Fearless through Thomas Nelson and Netgalley:

In this book bestselling author as well as star of Dancing With the Stars reminds us what it is to Live Fearless in Jesus. It reminds us that it is okay to get tired of the struggle.

Robertson points out that in order to overcome fear we must surrender control.

We are reminded that living Fearless does not mean we are never afraid it means that we have the courage to overcome that fear.

This book reminds us too that the enemy does not want us to be everything God wants us to be.

I give Live Fearless five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!
