Unfortunately, this was not my kind of book. I was unable to finish it. Thank you for considering me for review, but I did not mesh well with the writing style.

Another super addition to Carmen's Brazilian Series, This is Camila's book she has moved NY to get some space from her family who can be really overprotective and to start her intern job when someone starts stalking her instead of going to her family for help she turns to Jaeger a former police officer.Jaeger lost his entire family because of his job and has no intention of getting close to anyone again but feels a need to protect her and thinks the best way is to pose as her other half.A super read I just loved it

I have read all the books in this series and eagerly awaited the release of this one. Finally a book about the sister of the Duarte family. I admit I missed the Brazilian setting since this one was set in New York. Although I admired Camilla's independence and her desire to make it on her own, I did think she took the privacy issue a bit overboard and should ave let her brothers help protect her (especially since I wanted more of them in this book), but she chose her help wisely and hired Jaeger. He has the street smarts Camilla lacks. He takes her stalker seriously and starts the hunt. Jaeger is confident in his abilities, but he is not confident he can keep his distance from Camilla. He has distanced himself from everyone since he lost his wife and child years ago, and he really doesn't want the risk connections result in. Regardless, she tempts him and the chemistry is enough that they finally give in. Now Jaeger not only has to worry about Camilla's safety but also his own heart if anything happens to her.

The first book in this series remains my favorite, but I really enjoyed this one as well. ARC provided by Net Galley.

Camilla Dante her freedom and her sense of security for granted as her older brothers were there and protected her. But now she was in America and had lived in NYC for two years. Camilla had a stalker. Camilla was an intern at Hatch Psychiatric Center. Her mother had depression and Camilla wanted to help people with mental illnesses. Today she was to see Jaeger Bauer as his as his Aunt who was Camilla’s hairdresser had set up the appointment for her. Her brother had been very successful in business and Camilla now was from a very rich family. Jaeger wasn’t going to take Camilla’s case and was going to pass her to one of his associates but he was the beat and she wanted to be his client. When their fingers touched as she handed him the envelope with the stalkers messages a shock went up Jaegers arm. Then Jaeger heard himself say he would take her case. Jaeger had been on NYPD but then his wife Ellen and three year old son Trevor was murdered while he was at work five years ago. Jaeger said someone had wanted her to leave the country and they had to learn why. Camilla had also responded to Jaeger. The next day Jaeger had went to Camilla’s apartment and found out that the stalker had poisoned her dog Torto then Jaeger took her to his home where she would be safe. Jaeger found he was sexually aroused by Camilla and he had never thought about his client sexually before her and he had to end it before she got hurt. Camilla Camilla was a bridesmaid in her brother Emanuels wedding and it required her being there for three days. Then Jaeger said her would go with her.
I liked this book alot. It was an easy, enjoyable read with intrigue, mystery, unwanted attraction, passion, love, murder, and so much more. I loved Camilla and Jaeger together. I loved how she freed him from his tortured past. I also loved how Camilla wanted to work with people who suffered from mental illness like her mother. I hadn’t actually figured out who the killer was until he was with Camilla I did love the ending it just fit so well and the got their H E A. I couldn't find anything to complain about and that is always great. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend.

Just had to get into this one especially since I read the first two. This is set in the bustle of a city that anything can happen. That anything does happen to the dismay of Camila whom finally was on her own. She goes and hires a protector that thinks he can do the job because it is just a job of course nothing else. Jaegeo has baggage from a past but making rules he better watch out. As the mystery and the drama builds the chemistry does too. The interesting parts was them with how they developed it. As it heightens though you get pulled to the edge with a bit of a tension rub from it all until the villain is caught. Well done in wrap up.

Camilla is finally on her own in NY, however she is getting threatening letters. She decides to hire Jaeger to protect her and find out where they are coming from. Life can't be that simple though and as serious things start happening to her and her friends they have to work to figure this out sooner than later.
Camilla is a strong woman and knows what she wants, as all the women in the Brazilian series are. They are all stand alones and each one is just as good.

This is the authors last book in her Brazilian Series, Brazilian Surrender. We have another Duarte family member this time Camila who is now in NY to not only intern but to get away from her overprotective family. While there she begins receiving ever more threatening letter, so she seeks help from an agency where she meets Jaeger, a former police officer. Jaeger has lost his family to the dangers of his job and has sworn to never get close to anyone again. Against his better judgment he takes her case and they decide that the only way to protect her is to pose as her boyfriend. That's all I'm saying for I hate to give spoilers; although it appears that I have believe me there is much more meat to this story. Grab this great story and learn how far the villain is willing to go to get rid of Camila. You will also read how Jaeger's will to once again get emotionally involved is stretched to it's limit. Not getting involved will be hard to do when their attraction to each other starts to sizzle. The story is filled with the authors snarky humor and thrilling adventures amongst hot sizzling sex. I, for one, will miss further adventures in her wonderful Brazilian Series and if you haven't yet read the previous stories, don't just stand there go get them now.

Thrilling and sexy yet suspenseful and edgy. My first Falcone book and I must read about the brothers. Camila is a smart, educated woman with no fear of intimacy but is frightened by creepy letters sent to intimidate. Jaeger, a widowed ex-cop running his own security firm, helps Camila with a stalker while she breaks his walls. Both characters are likable with strong yet vulnerable personalities. Camila's story is part of a series with her brothers but stands alone. My copy came from Netgalley and my review written voluntarily.

What a fantastic conclusion to this series! This one has a wonderful blend of suspense and romance as Camila Duarte, enjoying a bit of freedom for the first time, finds herself the victim of an unknown individual who is leaving her threatening letters. She hopes to get this handled without involving her brothers who would want to drag her home immediately. Hopefully security specialist Jaeger Bauer will be able to help her and keep her safe.. And hopefully she won't lose her heart in the meantime.

Great read that I highly recommend to everyone.

When Camila Duarte starts receiving threatening letters asking her to leave USA, she hires Jaeger Bauer, a security specialist and ex NYPD cop.
From the first moment they met, there is a connection between them. But they are complete opposites of each other and want different things.
Brazilian surrender is a complete entertainer. It has everything, hot sexy scenes, secrets and suspense. The suspense was superb, took me by surprise. Carmen Falcone is a new author to me and I was not expecting this book to be as good as it was. A definite must read.

Loved this book! This is a sexy and engaging novel that fans of the genre will love. In this book, Camila is a psychiatry intern who starts to receive threatening letters. She turns to Jaeger, a somewhat damaged man who owns a security company. He poses as her boyfriend while protecting her and also trying to find the culprit. The sparks flying are predictable, but so well told that I just enjoyed the story.

I've enjoyed each of the books in this series and loved the romance between Camila and Jaeger. Put this at the top of your TBR list - you'll be glad you did. The author is on my must read authors' list.

I really enjoyed the romance between Camila and Jaegar. It had all the elements of a romance that I enjoy. There was the mystery of who was stalking Camila. I can normally tell when reading who the villain is but in this read, I was guessing up until the last few pages. This read also had passion and was steamy-- both elements that are essential for me in any romance novel. I also felt for Jaegar who had a rough past that I was sympathetic to. This was a read that I'd recommend!

Jaeger is not one for being good to his woman's ego, "...I say it’s time to break out those handcuffs and get you tired so I can make sure you’re not a snorer,” he said..." Once Jaeger got some personality in him you saw him tease his girl a lot, "he nipped her finger. “Are you going to abuse your new privilege of touching me?” I liked this book, I loved Jaeger.
