I wish I could come up with a solid explanation of why this book worked to well for me but it just did. Maybe it fit the mood I was in last night but everything about it appealed to me- the writing, the setting, the story. I really liked the characters and even if their feelings were rushed and the conflict resolved a little too easily I did not care. I was on board.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A sweet story between Holly and Cash.
Cash had rushed into marrying Holly's best friend Georgia after one night a drunken night of passion resulted in a pregnancy. Holly had had a huge crush on Cash for years, the wedding and pregnancy caused a rift between her and her friend for a while which eventually settles and they make up. But then Georgina dies and Cash finds out things which make him doubt every thing that his marriage was and what he has left to love in his life. And Holly finds her long lost past feelings for Cash coming full force again.

I found this to be an enjoyable story. I didn't feel much of a chemistry between the leads though, and one of the characters was a vet, but the story did tend to plod along at times with a lot of "horse" talk.
But still, with that a side, the main plot was entertaining, and the characters were well developed and interesting, and I liked his daughter Sophia, young children are always a hit.

I really enjoyed this light hearted romance. It had very likeable characters and was a great easy read. Would recommend to any looking for an enjoyable romance.

Very interesting-and I am always a sucker for adorable kids in a story.

The love story of Holly and Cash was a slow dance. Holly has returned to her hometown after promising her friend to always look out for her daughter. This "friend" crushed Holly years ago by being the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak in Holly's feelings for sexy Cash Hill. (A pregnancy will do that after all.)

Cash makes due- marries Georgia and raises their daughter thinking he will have love with that marriage. However, after Georgia's death he finds out things that make him doubt everything- even the most precious thing in his life.

I really enjoyed both characters and their strength but most of all their chemistry. Fighting their attraction was sweet and fun and futile attempt to overcome what's meant to be.

This first book in this series makes me excited for the Hill brothers!

I gave this book two chapters, and unfortunately, I could not get into this story. I don't think it is a bad story, it just couldn't hold my interest. I tried, I really did. There weren't any typos or incorrect wordings, it was the actual story and not the writing they didn't hold my interest. I am willing to try another book by this author, but not one in this series (if it is a series).

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Saving the Sheriff by Kadie Scott that I read and reviewed.
This book was a great book. I really enjoyed the story and look forward to the rest of the series.
Cash and Holly were both great and were really matched well. I also loved the backstory of Holly having a major crush on Cash in high school and her best friend stealing him and circumstances happening that give them a second chance.
This is one of those feel good books that you can's put down because you want to see what is going to happen next because both Cash and Holly are both set in their ways and can't see what is right in front of them and you really want them to get things right so you keep reading because the book is just that good. This is a great start to a series and I can't wait to see what happens to the rest of the Hill clan.
I am giving Saving the Sheriff five out of five stars.

I really loved this story and its slow pace. I loved how, in the beginning, the hero, Cash, apparently disliked the heroine, fought the attraction that sprang up, but was always succumbing to jealousy. All those initial confusing feelings in a romantic relationship were masterfully handled, gently, with complexity, instead of the usual clichéd approach. His resistance was rather fetching and made him a compelling character, very enjoyable to read.
I also liked Holly’s personality: determined but vulnerable, a bit shy, hard-working, trying to be fair and a good friend, in spite of all the problems and obstacles. Her work as a veterinarian is beautifully depicted.
The strong father/daughter relationship was another aspect I loved. And the beautiful setting (La Colina - Texas Hill Country).
Finally, what made me love this story even more was the authenticity of scenes such as those when Cash tells Holly about the little girl’s paternity or his laughter and amusement when Holly describes how she became the “witch doctor”: so touching!

Cash is not a slow man what his woman wants his woman gets, "Cash jumped up before she could finish that sentence, the swing rattling around at the movement. Luckily he kept his hold on Holly, or she would’ve ended up on her butt. “Let’s go,” he said eagerly, and a bit too loudly." I liked this book, I found it to bea very sweet read.

Great story between Holly and Cash two people who have gone through a lot in their life. Holly returns to her hometown and Cash is her secret crush that she had as a teenager and attraction come running in full force. This time Cash sees her as an attractive woman too, but there are a lot of secrets and unspoken things and a little girl to count on. I liked both of them both really likable and lovable they have both caring personality and love towards their family. And what Cash did for Holly amazing he did not give up and he showed her how truly amazing she was and that she did not have to be scared. Great story.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

Five stars!!

First off let me start and say this was my first book by this author and she DID NOT disappoint!!This book was such a fresh breath of air. I absolutely loved it. Loved Cash and Holly. Also loved the family. They are the type you want to be apart of and know more about. I can’t wait to see if this family gets more books. I also want to see more into the future of Cash and Holly. One day she will be a great mother.

I'm not sure how many stars to give this book, right now I'm leaning toward 3 maybe 3.5.
Let me start with what I didn't like:
My biggest issue was that I wasn't allowed to read between the lines or figure out for myself what certain looks or actions meant. Everything was explained, painstakingly so.
There were moments when Cash and Holly's relationship felt forced, like in the beginning he doesn't like her, but still pushes a strand of hair behind her ear.
I felt the whole Marcus thing was unresolved.
What I liked:
The characters were easy enough to like and the ending was incredibly sweet.
