I enjoyed this book, not much of mystery, but good romance. I liked the chemistry between the main Characters.
Thanks to Netgalley, for this free Arc. My opinion was my own.

I found this story to well paced but it is much more a contemporary romance and not even close to s suspense story.
There is a lot of conflict which will pull at readers heart strings as feel for both of the main\lead characters. Once I realized the story wasn't suspenseful I was able to enjoy the book and the writers flow though the story as she brings readers to better understanding of what Love truly means. The story was nicely placed for a contemporary romance but if your are looking for the suspense you will be disappointed.
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for the copy.

This book was marketed as a thrilling suspense story full of action and adventure....where was that? I was thoroughly disappointed in the "thriller, suspense" aspect of this story because I found it to be very lacking in that department. However this book had good characters who had interested back-stories but this was more a romance novel than a suspenseful book. I would possibly read the next book in the series because I know what to expect but not for a good thriller book.

If you are looking for a suspense, as this is marketed, take amount before you jump in. The suspense is lacking. it's a contemporary romance with some conflict, but nothing that lends to suspense. That alone makes me hesitate to jump into the rest of the series, even tho the premise is good.

The writing is well done, but I kept jumping through it looking for the suspense! I enjoyed the characters and story line, even though I felt it underdeveloped.

I am reviewing a copy of The Forgotten Through Season Publishing and Netgalley:

Logan Wakefield is a security specialist who rushes from his covert job abroad to a Chicago hospital to see his daughter who was injured. As he watches his ex-wife by his daughter side he finds that feelings that he had buried long ago resurface.
Dana is upset when she learns her seven year old daughter suffers from amnesia after the accident and only remembers her Father no one else in her family, not even her Mother.
Dana Marlowe Wakefield has two priorities her daughter and her career as an attorney. She is not going to tell her ex-husband about the threats on her life not when she worked so hard towards becoming the Cook County State Attorney. If he knew he'd insist on helping which would lead to spending time with the man who was once the love of her life.
Linda Style has written an engrossing Novel that was hard to put down.
I give The Forgotten five out of five stars!
Happy Reading!

Thank you NetGalley for the copy of The Forgotten by Linda Style that I read and reviewed.
I loved this book. Logan and Dana were an excellent match and I enjoyed this prequel to the L.A.P.D Special Investigation series which I have read a number of books from earlier that highly enjoyed.
Dana and Logan are a divorced couple who are forced to play house again when their daughter gets hurt on the playground and loses her memory and believes that her family is still a family so in order to try to help their daughter Logan moves back into the family home and tries to keep things "normal" for Hallie. But then things take a turn when Logan realizes his family really is in danger and he will do anything to protect them and things are starting to heat up again between him and Dana.
This book has bit of everything: romance, suspense, a family finding itself again and if you have been following the L.A.P.D Special Investigations series a bit about how it all started. I am giving this book five out of five stars.

This book is a suspense/love story. When Dana Marlowe's daughter falls at school, Dana has to call Logan Wakefield, Hallie's father. Dana and Logan are divorced and a pain in each other's side. Dana works for the district attorney's office and Logan and a buddy run their own investigation firm. Hallie is rushed to the hospital with a non-life threatening bump on her head, but soon after arriving at the hospital she falls asleep and doesn't wake up for over a day. When she does wake up, she doesn't remember her mother. She also doesn't remember her parents are divorced. Needless to say they stay together in the same house for the sake of the child. But then their nerves rub each other wrong. But when Hallie runs away when they go to the cabin, things come to light. Who tried to break into their house? Is it Dana's job or Logan's job that is putting their lives in danger? Read the book to find out.
