I loved Cat that girl was entertainment all on her own without Ronin, “why, thank you, Oprah,” I say, my voice dripping with sarcasm. “I’ve been waiting almost two hundred years to hear a speech like that. If my hands weren’t being held down, I’d give you a round of applause.” Ronin tries to be a decent vampire, but around Cat it's sometimes difficult, "he chuckles. “I want to listen without my lad down there getting excited.” He lifts the sheet, nodding toward his straining erection..." I liked this book, I loved Ronin.

3*
I normally do not read Vampire/shifter books as they have let me down miserably in the past, this book, however, has piqued my interest and I will definitely be picking up another vamp book.
The reason this is a three-star read has nothing to do with the storyline (which was brilliant), but everything to do with the characters. The hot and cold thing has run its, course in my opinion. Maybe if I have read the other books in this series the relationship would have impacted me more.
Having said that, I enjoyed the book and will be picking up another Juliet Lyons book.

This is my first time reading a Ms. Lyons book and it started off great but then slowly as it progressed lost it's steam. I loved the characters and the plot but as I read I felt like I'm missing something. Maybe it's because this is the 3rd book in a series and I haven't read the first two. Some things in the book weren't explained at all and maybe it's because I'd need to read the first two books and they were explained there. Be as it may, not getting the background for some things lessened my enjoyment of this story. Also, the relationship between Cat and Ronin was too much for me. One minute she was pushing him away, the next they were making love. Like all other romance novels, the relationships happened too quickly for love with not enough to really build up to it (again, maybe it was built up in the previous books, I don't know).
There was also a bit of intrigue in the book... keeping us wondering who was killing those vampires. I think the intrigue part was nicely done. It wasn't obvious and it kept me guessing till the end.
The ending (like with a lot of romance books these days) sadly felt rushed.
My final rating: 3.5 stars. A good, solid read, but it doesn't stand out one way or another. But I'll gladly try another of Ms. Lyons' books.

4.5 stars

Ronin’s red headed, fiery temperament and Catherine’s waspish overtones won me over once I delved beneath the surface and discovered two very lonely people who were basically screwed in life by circumstances of birth. Their individual histories were darker than I expected, but it went a long way in explaining why they rubbed the other the way they did. That alone gave the story a depth I truly wasn’t expecting, yet highly enjoyed!

And the attraction! Good gads, pheromones were all over the freaking place! Catherine and Ronin have been oozing chemistry since the second book and Holy Hades did these to deliver with a bang! They’ve had this hate/love thing going on that lit up the page like a live wire and electrified the story in a most gratifying way!

Each book in the Bite Night series just gets better and better, but this couple is hands down my favorite! While I enjoyed Ronin and Cat’s verbal spats and bedroom acrobats, what I loved most was the vulnerability exposed when their emotional barriers came down and secrets were revealed.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from the Sourcebooks Casablanca via NetGalley.

That Killer Smile was a quick read with some interesting twists on the typical vampire romance. Cat loathes Ronin and the fact that he was the last guy to give her an orgasm. Ronin, on the other hand, wants more. When he starts his own vampire dating service, it’s the last straw for Cat. I liked this novel, but felt that Cat and Ronin’s story was tied up too easily. Enemies-to-lovers is one of my favorite tropes and the chase is the best part of the story. I would have like to see Ronin face more challenges in his pursuit of Cat.

This book kind of reminded me of other stories I’d read, the reluctant heroine who goes against her better judgment, the heartless hero, who gets a conscience, you’ve read the story. The dating agency was a twist I would’ve liked more of but didn’t get. The story itself was well written and edited I just didn’t find it original.

Great vampire love story. I've wanted Cat and Ronin to finally get together!

Ronin, half human and half demon, and Cat, a vampire turned during the Victorian era, make a fun couple. Trying to solve a murder mystery and deal with their own passions is a good recipe for a book hard to put down. I liked the story, the characters and the writing. Easy to read and kept my attention throughout. Highly recommend this book and author.

Finally, an ancient meets his match!
I was looking forward to reading Catherine and Ronin's story when I came across them in Vincent's story, Dating the Undead and in true fashion, these two are the best when it comes to giving orders and being in control. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and it's been a dash!
One thing is certain, they bring the heat, their fears, their strength and most of all their chance at redemption and bliss in this book.
