Twisted by Helen Hardt is a good fit for readers looking for a suspenseful and emotionally intense romance with a dark edge.

Twisted by Helen Hardt was just that twisted! I loved Ruby & Ryan’s story! What a great addition to the Steel Brothers Saga.

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Another first read for me with this book by Helen Hardt. Now I am hooked and need to check out the rest of the series! Very glad to have this intro into the world of Steele!

Ryan Steel has just found out a huge secret. It's caused him to run off in his beloved Porsche so he can think (and rant and rave in his mind) and his Porsche ends up in not such great condition. Thank God Ryan isn't killed during his freak-out. But now he's back and looking for more answers about his family, about the woman he loves. Can he trust her any longer? Can he tell her how he feels about her?

Ruby's having family issues, too, though, thanks to her evil father. He makes a lot of appearances in Twisted, answers some questions that have been raised, and proposes even more that will hopefully be answered in the next book.

There are more revelations, but honestly, not a whole lot happens in this installment of the Steel family journey. That's why the 3 instead of 4 stars. It's still well-written, though, and Ryan and Ruby are still a pretty great couple. Twisted is kind of short, though, and Ruby and Ryan aren't together enough in it to satisfy me. Of course there's yet another cliffhanger, but I've looked ahead and found out that the next book in their journey is their last book. Not sure if it's the last in the series, but it is the last in Ryan and Ruby's story.

Helen Hardt's writing is way above par!! You literally will be hooked on this series from Craving (Steel Brothers #1). Don't miss it!

This series just keeps getting more and more exciting. Twisted takes it to the next level. Ruby and Ryan continue to figure out the mystery surrounding their parents but with all of the twists and turns this story takes it's not an easy feat. I love this series, but if you have a weak stomach I probably wouldn't suggest it.

I wasn't a massive fan of this. I think that the series could be condensed so you don't get bored with the characters or plot, or begin to predict actions. Twists are a bit predictable. Steamy but a pass.

I wasn't a massive fan of this one, I think that this series is very drawn out. instead of being a trilogy, the series has just become to long and I didn't care for the characters as when I did when I read book 1.

Two souls that belonged to each other but secrets kept them apart. Tragic pasts and mysteries that needed to be solved could push them closer together or further apart. Opening your heart and drawing Ruby closer Ryan would finally feel at peace.

And the secrets keep getting revealed! Ryan is shaken after learning what his brothers and sister have been up to. Most of all, he is deeply hurt that Ruby did not confide in him. His world is shaken to the root and he does not know what to do next.

Ruby loves him so much. The thought that Ryan might be lost to her is unbearable. This case is just getting more complicated and let's not forget that her father is at the center of it all. What would Ruby do in order to protect the Steele's from her father? She is still hot on his trail and will not stop until she finds him.

Cannot tell you more just know this book is just as great as the others. This is a very complex mystery and the secrets have not all been revealed yet. After finishing Twisted I can only hope the next installment will be coming soon because it ends on a BIG cliffhanger!

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thank you to the author for sharing a copy with me.

Helen Hardt has once again written an amazing story with two characters that have such a strong connection and chemistry that is off the charts. I loved this story and found it as another great addition to the Steel Brothers series and I cannot wait to read the next story in the series.

A true suspenseful read I couldn't put down. Book 8 in the Steel Brothers series and the 2nd in the Ryan and Ruby trilogy.
Issues of trust plague Ryan and Ruby's relationship. As the issue is addressed realization to the reason of for doing things is established. Lots of twists and turns in this story as Ryan finds out more of his parentage and Ruby sees her criminal father in a different light
Ends in a cliffhanger can't wait for Unravelled

Helen has answered all my burning questions and then some with this book. I couldn't put it down. Everything has come full circle since the first one.

It seems like every other book in this series, seems like a wasted book. That is how this book felt to me. I felt like this one was written is a haste and didn't get the time it deserved. There have been so many books in this series so far that I'm kind of getting tired of it. But then you tough it out and the book gets better and you get wrapped up in it again and then BOOM HUGE CLIFF HANGER! then you have to wait, and the waiting builds anticipation, and you're scared you're going to be let down, and then you get the next book and guess what..You're not because it's awesome! This book has a lot going on, you are still learning about Talon, which can make the book better or worse, depends on how you feel about him. But I will say I think this book could have been written in fewer books because I do feel like there was a lot of fluff, but what do I know, I can't write a book to save my life!:-) I'll make the same recommendation for this book as I make for almost all series, Don't stop, keep reading. When you're reading a book you have to realize that the author knows more about what is going to happen then you do. So give it time!

Warning- This review will include spoilers from the preceding novels. And the mystery grows deeper! Ryan and Ruby fell in love, but the mystery of their past and present continues.
After a big cliffhanger where Ryan gets a strange phone call, and the revelation Ryan's life was a total lie, Ryan questions his entire existence (and acts like a child who didn't get the toy he wanted.) With the help of his brothers Talon and Jonah, sister Marj, and his new obsession Ruby, it's clear the youngest Steel brother is family—blood or no blood. I'm trying not to give away too much because OMG this series rocks!
Formally mousy girl Ruby, who where's her hair back and her wardrobe comprised khakis and an oversized shirt to a sexy girl, who owns Ryan's heart. She continues to hunt her madman father, but he's been as slippery as a slip and slide, and as crazy as a fox. She's ashamed of her father—mastermind of the kidnapping and torment of a ten-year-old child. Luckily the boy seems to be healing from that turmoil, however Ruby can't let it go. She has to arrest him. As Ruby digs deeper, she tries to unravel the whole mystery with the aid of the Steele family. Bad news for Ruby- Ryan is demanding and dominant outside the bedroom.
Notably, a subplot continues in the background. With everything going on in the story, it's easy to forget the missing girls in Jamaica, however it eventually links into the central storyline. Of course, Ruby has to put her super detective skills in action. She unravels the mystery behind a sudden disappearance she thinks her father masterminded. Her father gives her tiny clues, but can Ruby trust a raving lunatic??
Meanwhile, back and forth they go. They continue to go between a lunatic mother and a maniac for an uncle (who may soon may reach his demise thanks to Jonah's money) squeezing them for more information. Speaking of money, they come across some interesting accounting they know nothing about. Should they be shocked? Their family and political figures were involved in a kidnapping for goodness sakes!
So, the Hardy Boys and super detective Ruby work with conviction. They didn't know what to do, but struck gold when they found their father's boxes of paperwork, but other than some mysterious accounting they find nothing. They further find some strange facts about their own father that causes them question—was his morality an act?
Did I point out how hot this book is. It's sad, but I can't wait for the next book because I couldn't put the book down. It was baffling and interesting.

I love this series! Helen Hardt is a masterful storyteller who has weaved this amazing mystery around stories of passion and true love. What's more, I find myself just as enthralled in the heart-stopping suspense as I am in the steamy, all- consuming romance. Bring it in 2018, Helen, like only you can!

4.5 Stars

Twisted is a captivating, enthralling, engaging and entertaining addition to the Steel Brothers Saga. This title continues Ruby and Ryan's story and is chock full of mystery, intrigue and suspense that will keep you glued to your device or paper back.

Whilst the connection and chemistry between Ruby and Ryan is intense, passionate and erotic, it's the revelations, twists and turns and mystery that keeps you coming back for more of this saga.

Twisted reveals quite a few pieces of information, but still leaves you with more questions than answers, and I will be eagerly anticipating the release of Unravelled to see where Helen Hardt her readers next.

Helen Hardt is the mastermind behind the Steel Brothers Saga and Book 8 Twisted does not disappoint. This book had me captivated from page one. I innocently picked up this book thinking that I would just read a few pages and then come back to it later. I was wrong. I could not put this book down and read the entire thing in less than 48 hours.
Twisted is the continuation of Ryan Steel’s story and twisted is the correct name for this book. The book is bringing together pieces of the infamous Steel family mystery that keeps gaining more questions than answers. Having found his mother is alive and is not Daphne Steel Ryan is forced to deal with emotions he is not prepared to handle. Along with a developing love of Ruby. Whom is dealing with her father’s secrets that in turn are connected to the Steel family? Ryan and Ruby are forces to be reckoned with. You will be screaming at this book and crying and so many more emotions. I cannot wait for the next book in this saga. Helen Hardt continues to write wonderful and amazing stories that you love the characters and feel as though you are part of the plot.

Thank you to the author and Waterhouse Press for providing a copy of this boo
