Fascinating look at cellular life

I enjoyed this book. Robin Hayes presented the biology of cells in a clear and fascinating manner. Hayes writes with a conversational tone and at times with some humor. My one quibble with the book is that Hayes seemed to be tie cellular determinism to free will. This was somewhat difficult to follow and unconvincing. But as a biology book about cells, it was very good. I recommend it for people interested in biology.

This book takes a pin interesting take on our motivations on decision making. Based on the idea that a cell will do what it needs to survive based on its environment, we act the same way. NB- this is a really simple explanation of a complex theory. Offers insight on why we behave in ways we know we shouldn't, knowing the consequences, and how it might make others upset. Very interesting exploration of ideas and theories, based on science!
