An interesting fantasy novel. I enjoyed it for the most part. It's has its ups and downs.

After reading so many books, there comes a book which satisfies your reading craving to a much higher levels then any other book. The keeper by natalie star is such a book which made me glad that I chose this book. Billie, a sixteen year old is in for a surprise on her sixteenth birthday as she is about to gain many powers. She is chosen for a higher cause than the rest of the human population and she is being helped by her protector with whom she falls in love with. The story takes you on for a literary ride in the supernatural world and romance triangles and so much more. I enjoyed the book a lot and went ahead and bought and read the next book in series also. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to all the book lovers.

This feels like a prequel to a series instead of the first in the series. The lead up to the climax is slow and then rushed. While I enjoyed the premise and the idea was a great one it just didn't feel complete to me.

This fantasy novel was part one of a series aimed at young adults. At first I was interested but it was difficult to read the small print with lots of highlighted parts of words - a bit annoying.

Billie turns 16 and is given a charm with a gemstone that had been in her family for years. It is meant to be given to the oldest daughter to wear on her 16th birthday. The charm has powers and turns hot or cold depending who is nearby.

This was a fantasy novel with lots of action, good and evil forces a bit like virtual Pokémon.

I am so happy I read this. As an occasional reader of YA it's hard to find a book that will hold my attention, let alone find me eager to read the next in the series but, this is one. I finished it, and I'm on to next book.

This is a book that I ended up reading again because I enjoyed the plot tremendously. Each page of the book drew me further and further in until I realized I was on the last page. I thought it was a fun read that entertained me all the way through. Thank you for allowing me to read this and write a honest response.

The concept of the story was one I was excited about but it lacked depth for me. Also the fact that Billie jumped from guy to guy so quickly was a turn off for me. She threw affection every which way many times going back and forth. The fight scenes were mainly quick and glossed over. People you thought were the bad guys were here and then gone. I know this story covered many years of her life but it just seemed disjointed to me. The big prophecy was wishy washy along with the "rules" of the beings. Actions, people, and memories were just too easily erased to make the story move along. Not feeling this series will be one for me. I received an ebook in exchange for honest review.
