It's charming yet not different from any other cozy. It took me 19 chapters in order too like Gia. After chapter 19 I was like about bleeping time. The mystery seemed more an after thought. Gia feeling sorry for herself and whining was a turn off. After she was given a back bone and pulled her big girl panties on I could see myself liking her.

This is a gem of a new mystery featuring a feisty, intrepid heroine in Gia Morelli. Gia left her home and job in New York to get a fresh start in a small town in Florida after her ex-husband, Bradley Remington, who had been an investment advisor was convicted of running a scam. While in New York Gia had been stalked and threatened by her ex-husband's clients who believed she knew what he was doing and she needed a change of scenery. with the help of her best friend Savannah, Gia has opened a cafe but on her first day of business Bradley is found shot to death in the dumpster in back of the cafe. And, worse yet, Gia is still being threatened and both her home and cafe have been broken into. But with the help of Savannah and her cute detective cousin Hunter Quinn Gia is able to get the crime solved. This is a thoroughly enjoyable start to a what I hope will be a great cozy mystery series.
