I didn't like this book so much, I think that most of the times Sam and HW were just itching around so the author had the possibility to fill up the right amount of pages, and from that comes my impressions of the plot slowly slowly come to the already known end.

THANKS TO NETGALLEY FOR THE REVIEW!

Only thing better than a Kate Pearce Morgan Ranch novel would be being able to actually go there! Love this family with its tragic past but their ability to overcome and function as a family. Hard for me to comment if this is a stand-alone since I have enjoyed all the books in this series. HW Morgan has been on the rodeo circuit for years but finds himself aging and fearful of a riding accident that might prove to be deadly. Coming home he finds that the family ranch is being transformed into a getaway for tourists and he is tasked with giving Samantha Kelly some lessons on how to ride a horse. Sam is pushing all of HW's buttons with her out going personality and strong zeal for living. But.. Sam comes with her own demons from her military injury that has left its nightmares. This is my favorite in this series so far. Touches on equine therapy and its merit to kids and veterans. Fresh air, muscled cowboys, and heart are included. "A copy of this book was provided by Kensington Books via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

This is the story of the last Morgan brother. All very unique cowboys with distinct personalities and views of their past. A painful past that has affected them into their adulthood.
HW has been the wildcard. He was considered the favorite child of a mother that abandoned them when they were very young. Little do they know there is a great deal of pain within HW. He has become a rodeo champion, is considered a playboy and the one that the other brothers feel will never stay permanently at the ranch. He has decisions to make about his future, and has gone to stay at the ranch to regroup.
Samantha Kelly is an Army vet, still dealing with an injury and nightmares that has her feeling at times insecure. That said, she is a strong woman who speaks her mind. She is invited to the ranch so she can critique the ranch prior to it’s grand opening.
Samantha and HW start a relationship though both have trust issues and HW still doesn’t know what to do with the rest of his life.
I appreciated the author’s presentation of the trials and tribulations the returning troops, especially those injured, have to endure. Also the fact that the experiences you have as a child, will follow you into adulthood. Whether it’s lack of trust, a sense of not being loved or feeling responsible for the acts of the adults.
All that said, for me , it could have easily been 50 pages shorter . Some parts were repetitive and wordy. A 3-3.5 star story in my opinion. That said, I did love books 1 and 2. For that , I am giving it a higher rating.
I was gifted this copy by Netgalley . The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I really enjoyed HW & Sam's story, it was sweet, sassy, emotional & strong. Sam is a military veteran amputee from the war in Afghanistan who was asked to the Morgan Ranch to help them make sure everything is just right for its grand opening. Coming home is a little terrifying for HW Morgan because he hasn't been home for any length of time since he left home at 18. The rodeo circuit celebrity has decided to retire & move home to help out on the ranch & reconnect with his family, which he thinks is going to be the hardest thing he's ever done. When Sam over hears HW whining about having to give riding lessons to some newbie kid she decides to give him a run for his money. It's hilarious how she scatters HW & it's great to see HW push Sam past her limits with his flirting. These to were such damaged characters in such different ways but that damage is what draws them together but also pushes them apart. Add in the drama with HW's brothers & you have a highly combustible story. I loved HW's character in this story because he was such a sweet, sexy cowboy who wanted nothing more than to fit in with his family & take care of the stubborn woman he was falling for. Definitely recommend this book & series to read. I hope there's going to be a book on the newly found sister Rachel soon. I received this book through Net Galley for an honest review.

The Bad Boy Cowboy by Kate Pearce
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

HW is the last Morgan brother to come home. His past is still haunting him. I liked how he finally gave up information that left him feeling free. Samantha Kelly is a new character to the series. She has injuries from her time in Afghanistan and is still recovering from a romance gone wrong in the past. The two are like oil and water. Pearce does a great job with the dialog between the two. There were some very serious issues that the characters were dealing with but there was a very good balance between humor and serious. I was laughing through much of the book. A nice addition to the series.

I received a free copy of the book in return for an honest review.

The story of a man who needs to be the hero and the woman who pushes him to realize you cannot fix everyone. Fantastic writing/storytelling with wonderful characters you want to succeed. HW and Sam learn to trust each other with their personal secrets and what a fabulous ride it is with them. HW is not at all what he seemed from the previous books. He is hurting inside and Sam has her own problems but together you feel they can accomplish anything. The banter is terrific between them and with his brothers and sister.

H.W.Morgan has met his match in Sam Kelly. The former Army MP is on the Morgan ranch as a favor to her fellow vet Jay Williams. Sam and the Navy Seal met in rehab and bonded.
H.W. Is sick of the rodeo circuit and only wants to come home to the ranch, but is afraid of not being accepted into the fold because of things that happened in the past.
Sam just wants to make a life while adapting to her injuries and finds her way while aiding and making close friends of the Morgan family.
A tale of family interactions and reactions, laced with a bit of angst and humor, this is a must read for fans of western romance. It is so well told you can understand the feelings of the main characters and root for the family individually and as a whole.
I requested and received an ARC from NetGalley to my delight as I have been reading and enjoying this series.

I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley. I loved this story of HW and Sam. The Bad Boy Cowboy is a captivating love story between two strong will people. HW finally realizes he has met his match in Sam and their love blossoms through to the end of the book. In the end Sam sticks up for her man and have a HEA ending. This book won’t disappoint.

HW has decided to retire from Rodeo and has decided to return back home to the Morgan Ranch.
Sam Kelly is an army veteran who has been invited to the ranch as a guest in exchange of feedback on all aspects of the ranch before they fully open to the public.
HW is assigned to teach Sam riding and they get off to a rocky start when Sam hears HW complaining about giving riding lessons. They regularly kept each other off balance with their bickering and drove each other nuts. But all that did not stop them from wanting each other. They both have issues, can they help each other over come them ?
I truly enjoyed The bad boy cowboy. It was a heartwarming read and I loved the way the relation between HW and Sam developed. It was funny and hot.
I would definitely recommend this book to all.

The author has clicked another book right into place. On one side it picks back up on the inter-family agitation and commiseration that often happens in a family - especially the Morgans. But, then there is the story-line of the intense romance that grows between HW (the family's rodeo star) and wounded army veteran Sam (Samantha) - both of whom have problems admitting the other might have a good point. The heat level gets steamy but not erotic. I really enjoyed this story. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book provided by NetGalley.

Full review to be published online in late December.

Although THE BAD BOY COWBOY is the fourth book in Kate Pearce’s “Morgan Ranch” series; it’s my first foray into the series. I’m a fan of the authors other work, so I couldn’t resist. No problems, I didn’t have any problems getting into the story. There was a little backstory I had a bit of trouble with, but the storyline itself was well contained. Here, brother HW has come home to his family ranch not really sure he would be welcomed with open arms; as he has been estranged from the family for quite some time. Samantha Kelly has come for a stay at the ranch, which specializes in catering to special needs clients. Sam overhears HW say that he is above teaching someone to ride a horse, so she decides to get revenge by acting as if she is a klutz. Both of them have some big problems to work on, and they need to try to get along to try to solve their issues.

THE BAD BOY COWBOY is a quite enjoyable read, and I will be going back to the earlier books in the “Morgan Ranch” series to catch up with the rest of the family. Kate Pearce has done well with this engaging story.

This book just didn't hold my attention. I found the main character touchy and argumentative. It was just annoying.

Sam is a one of a kind woman. She's called nosy in the book, but I don't think that's the right word. How else are you suppose to learn stuff fast about someone that is closed off. She just inserts herself and doesn't leave when the juicy conversations start. Throughout the series, H.W. is known as the golden boy. Their moms favorite child. Reading this story and getting his take on it has been an eye opener.

Finally getting to HW's story has been well worth the wait. With all the turmoil that was his life as was told through Ry's story, HW's own brought out his true character, and much of what had been unseen previously. As truths about his childhood was revealed, my heart ached for the little boy

As Sam challenged HW, and he did the same to her, you're able to see that there is a connection between the two, though their chemistry was subtle, it was heartwarming to watch them grow closer. Their relationship was unique and a joy to witness.

Now with her four brothers' stories told, perhaps Rachel's will be next. Since her brothers have found their own HEA, she now deserves her own.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
