Overall a good story. On the one hand, there is single mom Miranda, and on the other there is widower Luke, with two young boys. A Brady bunch in the making. I liked the story and it kept my interest for the most part, but the references to a mystery threw me a bit (hadn't read previous story in series) and the insecurities got a little tiresome. More details at the end helped with this, and was appreciated. Would highly recommend this book, but encourage reading her brother's story first.

This was my first Susan Fox book that I picked up. I just love romantic stories and this one hit the spot just right. Great characters each with their own problems and a lovely writing style by Susan Fox. I read this book as a standalone and did not feel as if I missed out on something.
If you are a romantic at heart then this is just the book for you.

Come Home With Me, wasn't the kind of romance novel that I usually read. It was actually a little too deep for me. Luke kept getting philosophical, and there was too much hippie stuff for my taste.

Destiny Island, Vancouver, Canada - a world so different from mine and Susan Fox managed to bring it to life and make it seem so real with these wonderful round characters she created. I adored this place – the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest, the rain, how the characters learn to adjust their lives and leisure activities to the geographical and weather conditions.
The attractive widower veterinarian with his amazing kaleidoscope eyes, his twins and the heroine’s little girl – all three so diverse in their personalities – are great characters.
There’s a lot of secondary characters and plenty of talk – even about the deceased wife, which makes her a character too – and sometimes it all becomes a bit too much, but all in all a good and engaging read.
