A good, well written fast paced mystery. Fun and funny characters with their own quirks and plenty of humor. Curious to see what's next.

A very good mix of mystery, romance, small town life, family relationships and humor. I laughed a lot and appreciated the different personal story.
Well written, entertaining plot and a lot of laugh.
Hope to read soon the next instalment.
Many thanks to Netgalley and Kensington Books

What a hoot! Holly, who owns "Holly Grove" a B&B in the deep south, discovered that her dead husband is now haunting her. St. Peter wouldn't let him in without taking care of unfinished business. Lots of fun characters, and a mystery with murder and drug smuggling add a nice flavor to the mix. A couple of recipes in the back as well, although sadly not one for Nelda's winning gumbo. Highly recommend this book and author, and the teaser chapter at the end makes me eager to read the next book in the series. Hard to put down.

Charming first book with humor, colorful citizens and a female protagonist that just about any woman can related with on some level. The story grabs you from page one until the end and throws more red herrings faster than a barista mixing your favorite beverage. I finished the book in sitting yes it was that good. It was well written and stayed on course and thank you for no love triangle.

What’s worse than a two timing husband? His ghost. Holly Davis is less than thrilled when her sleazy husband, Burls’ ghost shows up at her Louisiana inn and family plantation, Holly Grove. The family home that she’s now in danger of losing thanks to her dead husband. Has he sown up to make amends before he can “go into the light”? Not exactly. It turns out that Burl was involved with some pretty nasty characters and now he wants her help to break up a drug ring. While she doesn’t really want to get involved, Holly knows that people love a good ghost story and agrees to help if Burl continues to haunt the inn, thus drawing in more guests. What a fun read! Loved the old plantation , the new flame and the fact that Holly’s hubby got what was coming to him
