Tremontaine chapters are always amazing and this one is no exception. I love the characters and world building and of course the chocolate.

And now, intrigue and sneaky times and thwarted ambitions in TREMONTAINE S3E8. Things have started to fall into place with the murder mystery and with Davenant's schemes against Diane, and both storylines imbue this episode with some great tension. We also get a few peeks at my favourite relationships: Diane and Micah's friendship, and whatever this thing is between Rafe and Reza.

I REALLY LIKE Reza. More Reza, please.

Behind the Mask starts with an attempt on Tess's life and having got my heart racing madly (thank you Mr Derfner) it just keeps going. It's all the more shocking after the pause for breath last week, but a welcome acceleration towards the season finale. I love (and am surprised by) how Reza has adopted Tess and Rafe, and am increasingly unnerved by the lessons Micah is learning as the season progresses.

Meanwhile, Davenant's opening moves against Diane via Lionel and Rafe's School feel like minor irritations - or even distractions - so just what does the man have up his sleeve to even the score? There's a lot of focus this week on the power of friendship, a message much appreciated on every level; and one that gives me hope that our cast will withstand what ever Davenant is about to throw at them - but I can't help but recall Diane's mantra: attachment is a weakness.

...all of which barely touches the surface of the developments packed in this week. I'm left on the edge of my seat dying to know what will happen next.

Behind the Mask (Tremontaine #3.8)
by Joel Derfner

The amazing aspect of this Mosaic novel is that you can miss episodes and still follow the story line. The aspect of looking at the characters attempting to cope with the cliff hangers from the last season. You find the beauty of characters and this world in every story. The personal struggles of the characters is addictive.

Looking into the smuggling, and the ideas behind the take over will make the truth come out. The school has a set back, they have the building they have the teachers but the students are gone.
