I loved this title as I seem to enjoy every Stacey Kennedy book. I don't even know where to begin with this one, there is just so much I want to say but can’t because I don’t like spoilers. Bought by the Boss is 2 short novella’s that are tied together to create one full book. Each story on their own would have been fantastic but together they are phenomenal. I enjoyed how two friends were able to come back together after past situations almost completely destroyed the friendship. This story just shows you that sometimes talking helps. Not only did this title so how ones actions can have positive outcomes it also had some super steamy scenes. Panty melting scenes ;)

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

First I will say that I appreciate this book containing two stories in one, although separated, they ar two very different stories. That being said, the first book, I really liked! Good character development, strong characters on both sides and it didn't seem as if the relationship evolved too fast, because it's obvious they've learned a lot about each over the several previous years, just not been able to act on it. Good, hot sex scenes that again didn't feel rushed or like they just hopped into it.

The second book; although the start of the story is predictable given the character issues amongst each other, the rest of the story felt a lot less believable for me. The characters had much less prior knowledge of each other, but the relationship sexually and emotionally evolved less than over night, to be what leads to what the H wants as his HEA, with a predictable angry walk away by the h. Some issues or questions were resolved or answered in the second book, however, I just felt that it wasn't up to the caliber of the first book, by any means.

Would definitely read more by this author!

This standalone offering by Stacey Kennedy is actually two books in one, a pair of intertwined stories about four people whose lives interconnect at a charity auction.

Aria Finley and Mallory Becket are best friends and roommates. They each work for lawyers, who are deadly enemies, feuding over a woman who came between them many years before. Liam has wanted Aria for years, but her friendship and work with Jackson has precluded them from interacting. When he wins her at the auction, all that changes. They discover that their mutual attraction is far more-and how much loyalty is worth. In the meantime, Jackson has purchased Mallory’s time at the same auction-in secret. His intentions are to annoy Liam and give Mallory a relaxing long weekend. But Mallory discovers a different Jackson than the one Liam has always portrayed-or has she? The two women are caught between the feuding lawyers-can the men overcome their animosity in order to make their women happy?

This was a light and lively little book with engaging characters, hot sex and an interesting plot. It is a far cry from the author’s BDSM series, but it is still entertaining and an enjoyable read.

Bought By The Boss is a two story book by Stacey Kennedy about two lawyers who hate each other and the women who work for them. Both stories relate to each other, and each one is about a separate lawyer.

His Price is about lawyer Liam Maxwell. He ends up bidding 100K for a weekend date with his nemesis’s assistant, Aria Finley. Aria has always had a thing for Liam, but she’s stayed away because she knows that her boss, Jackson hates him. But they end up at his beach house for the weekend and she gets to know him better.

Liam tells her why he and Jackson are fighting. Aria is of course torn. Does she stay with him? Or does she leave him and stay loyal to her boss and good friend Jackson?

Dirty Money picks up at the end of His Price when Aria’s friend and Liam’s assistant Mallory finds out that Jackson has purchased her in the auction, but he’s done it to get back at Liam for revenge and torture. Mallory likes Jackson, so even if it hurts, she’ll take the 3 days and find out why the two men are at odds.
After a sinfully sexy three days, this entire book culminates into the final story between the two men as only it can. Will they make up? Will the girls get their guys? Grab a copy and find out! This was a fun and sexy read from Stacey Kennedy!

Absolutely loved that it is two books in one. The first part tells the story of Liam and Aria and the second book tells about Mallory and Jackson. This was a great read and I couldn't put it down.

This is a duet of two novellas that following two ex-friends and their assistants.
PART ONE: HIS PRICE: Liam and Aria have been attracted to each other for years. The problem is she works for his arch nemesis. Liam makes his move when a weekend with Aria is auctioned off at a charity event. During their weekend they give in to their attraction. Aria also learns what tore Liam and Jackson apart all those years ago. I enjoyed part one but my only criticism is that as the reader in order to believe these two can have these strong feelings for each other you need to make the assumption that they’ve had interactions over the years otherwise that bond is not believable.
PART TWO: DIRTY MONEY: Jackson decides to get even with Liam and secretly bid on his assistant, Mallory. Even though he taunts Liam, Jackson has no other intentions than taking Mallory away for a relaxing few days. That plan is thrown out the window when she decides to act on her two yearlong crush. I think I enjoyed part two better because they had more “get to know you” conversations and we get to see more of Jackson’s softer side. I loved the epilogue and thought it was a great way to get a glimpse of both couple’s futures.
This was a fun, flirty, quick read. But this was like a snack. Now I want an entire meal. I would LOVE for Ms. Kennedy to give us full length books for both sets of couples. I would love to see what happened between the last chapter and start of the epilogue.

I enjoyed this book so much!! The writing was wonderful and so were all the characters. It was one of those book I didn't want to stop reading and lost some sleep because I didn't want to put it down. I can't wait to read more from this author.

Bought by the Boss was a sweet romance filled with sexy exploits and strong friendships. Aria, Liam, Mallory and Jackson are the perfect mix of smart, sexy and full of vim and vigor. Each of their stories will have you turning the pages with a smile on your face and lighthearted feeling of love as you read.

I really liked this book. It’s about 2 couples. Mallory and Aria are best friends and assistants to two corporate attorneys, Liam and Jackson. The attorneys do not like one another at all and are very competitive with each other. Liam has been pining for Aria for three years, but she won’t give him the time of day because she’s Jackson’s assistant and very loyal to her boss and close friend. She secretly likes Liam, too. So they come up with a plan to spend a weekend together that no one can stop. It’s one sizzling weekend, but will it stop with just that? And then there is the big surprise for Mallory. Everything is not what it seems between these four. It’s a good story that’s revealed, and one sexy read.

I super loved the charity auction concept… it was a big shocking how you were buying someone to have intended sex with that was kinda awkward for me I feel.
I can accept the attraction element but the love aspect felt insta because it was basically repeated to us how not insta it is and how its been forever..
This book has 2 stories in it Aria and Liam and Jackson and Mallory
<b> She’s all legs and innocence. And I want those legs wrapped around my shoulders while I drive into her.
It was funny how basically the two fell in love with eachothers secretaries.
I think the BDSM elements really didn’t need to be there.
This book is perfect if you want to escape into some raunchy fun for 2 hours and then let the characters go and live their lives.
This was a first by this author for me… but I will be interested in reading another by this author!

What’s better than one bad-boy boss? How about two?

In a duet of naughty novellas, a charity date auction turns into all-out war when a pair of powerful corporate lawyers each buy the other’s assistant for a weekend of seduction.

HIS PRICE
I’ve wanted Aria Finley from the moment I met her.
We flirt, we laugh, we connect. It could be perfect.
She’s even best friends with my assistant.
Problem is, she works for my archnemesis—Jackson Keller—and she’s the kind of girl who stays loyal unless you give her a reason not to.
Besides my hard-on there’s something hot between us, and I won’t rest until I put my finger on it.
So when I get the chance to buy Aria for the weekend at a charity auction, there’s no limit.
I’m going to take her home and take what I want because I’ll make her want it too.
And by Monday, she’ll know she’s mine.

DIRTY MONEY
Liam Maxwell thinks he can get to me through my assistant, Aria.
Well, two can play that game.
Now Mallory Beckett—Liam’s assistant and Aria’s best friend—is mine for the weekend.
Only she has no idea who bought her at the charity auction.
This is going to be worth every penny.
But soon I realize that Mallory has been waiting for my touch all along.
What starts as a fling turns into something more.
From the beginning, I was so focused on stealing her away.
I never thought about the fact that I’d drown if I lost her.
Now the game has changed. And she needs to know that she belongs to me.

Review:

Picking up this book will give you two great stories. Both are woven together by Liam and Jackson's past history and with the intent to exact a little revenge. What both don't realize is that they will fall hard for the women who are a part of this revenge.

So each story could be read as a stand alone, bit to get the full picture I would finish the whole book in one sitting. Reading them together was very quick and I easily got invested in all the characters. I liked that the Author combined the stories into one book, it made it complete and satisfying. Both stories are very sexy, but full of heart and emotion. Having read many other books by this Author, this like the others was extremely well=written, engaging and fun to read.

4Stars

What you think you know is easily wrong!!!

Liam and Jackson are two former friends acting like idiots. In these two books written as a duet we discover how far each will go by purchasing the others assistant at a charity auction. What I found amazing is Stacey Kennedy not only writes these strong dominant males but women that can keep up with them in and out of the bedroom.

I really enjoyed these books and they kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks you Netgally for letting me read and review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Loveswept for providing us with a copy of this book so that we could bring you this review.

Two very hot and spicy stories in one book... now that I love. Both these men are strong Alpha males that need a strong, sassy females by their side. And the best part of it all is that they have that in spades because they each fall for the other mans assistant. Now I loved the fact that these ladies were able to not only do their jobs and stay professional they didn't betray the other mans secrets. They stayed stedfast to their beliefs. Its refreshing and nice to see they can be loyal to two different people even if the two other people hate each other. I love how Stacey Kennedy is able to stay consistent with her Alpha males. They show their dominant side without having to be domineering. And the female characters are sassy and playful and sexy as all get out. These books were just what I needed after so many regency books back to back.

I give this book 5 kisses.

Happy Reading... Adri

This was a quick great good read. Stacey Kennedy really did a great job with keeping you interested with intertwining the two stories yet having them also be separate in a way. The two couples were great and the stories worked. I did not want to put the book down and I want to know what was going to happen. I absolutely loved Aria and Liam. Mallory and Jackson were fun.

I really enjoy this author, I love just about everything she writes. Bought by the Boss is a bit different from what this author has written. Story is about two high powered attorneys (Liam and Jackson) who used to be best friends in college, but end up enemies because of something that happened with Liam’s then girlfriend. Fast forward to current day and the two best friend assistants that work for Liam and Jackson end up having the hots for each other’s boss. The book is in Parts, one and two. First part is about Liam and Aria, second part is about Jackson and Mallory. What’s a bit far fetched is how these two high powered bosses end up with their prospective gal, but weirdly it works. I think my favorite couple is Jackson and Mallory, probably because it was a bit more heartwarming at the end. Loved Miskoka in both respects, you will know what I mean when you read the book, and the friendship between Aria and Mallory is awesome. Book is very entertaining, absolutely loved the ending that brings everything together. Well worth the read.

Interesting two stimulating, risqué novellas. Author created sensually erotic couples and readers get to go along on the sweet, dirty, hot, panty-melting adventure right along with them.

This was some unexpected story, for me at least. This book it divided into two stories, completely different but at the same time completely the same. Since it’s my first read of this author, I didn’t know what to expect, but I was pleased…I don’t know if it was me, my mood, or the book itself…For me was just the right book at the right moment.
The first story of the book is…His Price…Once upon a time, over ten years ago, Liam and Jackson were best friends and roommates at a law school. Now, they are the greatest enemies…Liam buys Aria, Jackson assistant at a charitable auction. Aria is a little in love with Liam since the first time she saw him, three years ago, but she never answered his advances. Yes, she was attracted to him, she flirted with him, but she is loyal to Jackson, she loves Jackson like a brother.
Liam always wanted to revenge on Jackson, and when he first saw his assistant, Aria, he knew what he wanted to do. But after he got to know her a little better and he spent more time with her in the meetings he started to feel more for her and to be really attracted to her, and Aria responded to his attraction. So after three years, this auction was his opportunity to prove Aria that he really wanted something serious and he wasn’t looking for revenge…And ohhh baby, how he proved to her…
The second story in the book is Dirty Money… and is the story of Jackson and Mallory. For 3 years Mallory is Aria best friend, and Liam’s assistant, and more than that to him, a best friend. Jackson doesn’t feel guilty for what he did to Liam ten years ago, so when Liam bought Aria, his assistant at the auction, Jackson bought Mallory, Liam’s assistant, just to despite and hurt him. He keeps his identity as a secret buyer until his encounter with Mallory. His intention was not to hurt Mallory in any way but he plays a game and Mallory plays a different game…And at the end of the weekend with Mallory, his life is changed forever.
I liked Liam and Aria connection and relationship, and definitely Liam’s dominant side. Holly hell it was Hooot…I liked Jackson too, but although he seems rougher on the outside, he wasn’t. In his relationship with Mallory, they were equally dominant and I was expecting that Jackson will be more dominant than Liam…The book kept my attention and curiosity…It was a sweet book and I liked both stories.

If you’re looking for a sweet, hot romantic and peaceful book…this is the book!

4.5 stars

Kennedy's newest title features two novellas starring alpha lawyers. The characters are all connected. The lawyers, Liam and Jackson, were roommates and best friends during law school. A betrayal led to the destruction of their friendship. Aria and Mallory are currently roommates and the best of friends. Aria works for and pledges her allegiance to Jackson. Mallory is Liam's right hand woman.

His Price: 5 Stars
Aria has been fighting her attraction to Liam out of loyalty to Jackson. Jackson has tainted her perspective and reinforced a belief that Liam is only after her to hurt him. Aria sees a charity event as an opportunity to spend time with Liam and work him out of her system.

Dirty Money: 4 Stars
Jackson wins Mallory in the same charity auction. He throws it in Liam's face as payback for what he feels Liam is doing with Aria. Taking Mallory to the place he most calls home in the world, he plans only to escape for a few days and drive Liam mad. He doesn't intend to lay a hand on her. Neither Mallory nor Jackson could anticipate what would happen.

The first story is definitely my favorite, but the two stories are needed to bring resolution to the lingering drama between the men. The epilogue is sweet and a good finishing touch.

“Bought by the Boss...” two novellas; two couples; two sides of the very same coin.

A charity auction provides the perfect guise for feuding corporate lawyers—Liam Maxwell and Jackson Keller—to steal a weekend away with the other’s assistant. As expected, each naughty getaway is sizzling hot. But it’s the unexpected revelations that quickly steer each of their relationships down a whole new path.

In the first novella, “His Price,” Liam Maxwell seizes his opportunity to finally bed the woman he has been desiring for years. As the best friend and assistant to Liam’s arch-nemesis, Aria Finley declared herself “off limits,” but their ongoing flirtatious exchange had suggested otherwise.

Their connection is undeniable; their chemistry, off the charts. But what started out as a weekend of lust-filled fun, soon develops into so much more. And when Liam’s painful secret is brought to light, Aria gains understanding into what sparked these warring attorneys’ bitter feud. But there are two sides to every story, and Jackson Keller’s version casts the truth in a very different light.

In the second novella, “Dirty Money,” Jackson Keller initiates his own covert plan to get under Liam’s skin. But Jackson’s plan to whisk away Liam’s demure assistant in retribution, didn’t include them engaging in a weekend fling. Mallory, on the other hand, had her own salacious plans for passing her time with Jackson. Though neither expected their fun to extend beyond a couple of days, sometimes the heart will overrule our head. And after hearing Jackson’s version of what transpired between him and Liam all those years ago, Mallory’s heart yearns for Liam. The question is, just how much does Liam’s heart yearn for Mallory, and how far will he go to win her back once he’s lost her?

A fresh, new take on a familiar premise, Stacey Kennedy’s “Bought by the Boss” is a sexy little duet that makes for a quick, enjoyable read and a delightful surprise. While the storyline never delves too deep below the surface, it delivers exactly what it promises—and what it promises, is a whole lot of sinfully wicked fun.

Wow. This is a smart and sexy read. Good from the perspective of four characters, the reader is never on stable ground. Your loyalties and emotions are constantly changing and it's refreshing and exciting to be that drawn into a story. What an awesome read!!! I wish I could rate it higher.
