I had asked my library to order this so I can reread it and I loved it the 2nd time around.
When I seen the title of the book I admit I was totally surprised! It's actually not an actual lamp at your feet it means something else altogether! I liked that idea very much!!
I finished this book in one day because I truly enjoyed it. It's fast paced and realistic.
God indeed has a plan for His children. We only need to listen closely and learn what He has in store for us.
Each one of us has a talent or a place in life that we must do. It can't or shouldn't be forced onto someone. It can cause that person not to enjoy their jobs whatever that may be.
I love this verse because it has been talked about at our church
Sometimes no matter how scary, God would have us move away from bad influences to a place where He can bless and you can be free to bless others.
I really believe that the Lord has pulled me out of what could have been a bad situation with the people that lived in our apt. where we were living. For that, I will be forever grateful. I believe that He has something in store for my family and me. Not sure where we'll land but hey I'm willing to see what He has to offer.
I loved Kenzie immediately when I opened this book. I knew immediately that she was a special person and so is Trevor. "Swoon"
I think what I did not like in this story was how men think they can swoop in and start acting stupid and thinks they can do anything they want to a woman.
I also didn't like how the girls just assumed something and then spread gossip around that isn't true.
This just proves that you don't have the right to judge. Only Jesus will do that.
I highly recommend this book for it has some great advice on how to live like God meant for us to do.
In my opinion I think too that the blurb on the back of the book is way too long. It gives too much of the story away. A short one would have done just fine.
My thanks to Netgalley. NO compensations were received and all opinions are my own

Lamp Unto Her Feet is an amazing, faith-based, sweet wonderful story. Kenzie has just finished something very special to her and she did it far ahead of time then was projected for her. So she leaves what's next to GOD and when she does something serious happens. Will she learn to trust him again? With her whole heart again? Then you have Trevor who has something happen in his past regarding him being a police officer in the Tennessee, police - downtown- he is trying to maintain a Christian Life, and wants a woman who will follow Christ as well. Will Kenzie help him find that dream come true?
