Cute, doable patterns for the beginner through advanced crocheted. The pictures were sharp and colorful, the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The only downside is the yarn appeared to be European and probably not able to find in the USA. Cool book and I may have to add a few more projects to my already full list.

Most of the patterns in this book skew young, bikini tops, headbands, head scarfs, etc. But there are some cute patterns in this book that I will probably attempt including a couple of espadrilles. The patterns look relatively easy to follow and while the actual yarn used is from what I would call a specialty yarn company, each pattern mentions the number and type of yarn for easy substitution (i,e, #3 lightweight cotton yarn).

A delightful collection of crochet patterns for summertime use, this book is well planned and exceptionally photographed. There are bikinis, wraps, shawls, headgear and all things summery to crochet. The patterns are clear and easy to follow. The young ladies who created this book were in Germany at the time so the yarns they purchased were from German vendors but you can easily substitute yarns available in your area. Just looking through this fabulous collection will make you yearn for the warmer beaches. you will also be inspired to start your summer crochet wardrobe right now!!!!

Summertime Crochet had a lot of great patterns that I look forward to trying soon. I'd like to have some made before the weather warms back up. Well written.

I am very impressed with the many summer patterns available in this book.
I specially like that the book has the beginner's explanation on the back and the diagrams.
My favorite patterns that am going to make are the summer style colorful mini scarf and the mini bandana.

Each winter season that has passed I have been searching for just this book ! I was extremely impressed with all the diverse range of patterns for summer ! I fell in love with the tri of hat patterns and can already imagine the colors I'm going to use. From beach bags to a sexy summer top , to a beautiful evening wrap there is literally something for everyone .These patterns are definitely not limited to just summer either, any season is a great time to make up and use many of these fun patterns.

Summertime Crochet is a solid compilation with cute items themed around summer.. There’s a good range of skill levels from beginner to expert. The book includes detailed instructions & patterns to assist in gauging sizing. The book is beautifully illustrated, with full page photographs of models wearing the projects. The style is very accessible & ideal for attracting millennials & younger generations to the craft of crocheting. Although several projects have interesting twists, this entry will seem repetitive for those with an existing library of crochet patterns.

A book of projects to tackle before summer comes again. Included are beach bags, blankets, head gear and even sandals. All projects fit the theme and seemed within a beginner's grasp. The headbands especially seemed like something that could be whipped up quickly before a beach day. Very fun and accessible patterns!
