A likeable addition to the series, this novel, which can be read as a stand-alone, is part contemporary suspense, part contemporary romance, and part supernatural wolves' adventure. The settings are described nicely and the mysterious case that needs to be solved has some twists and turns. The writing flows well too. For supernatural romance fans.

I loved being back with the Silver Town pack again, as well as learning Sarandon’s story. If it’s one think I know abut this particular pack, something goes wrong they have your back, and this time that loyalty is going to come in quite handy for Sarandon. As a bounty hunter, Jenna knew her worth and her abilities yet she’d thought she was chasing down a human to bring to trial – not a wolf, and certainly not her mate. This mission just got complicated.

There is a lot going on behind the scenes in All’s Fair in Love and Wolf. To be frank I’m not really sure how to talk about those things without giving away vital spoilers. So I’m going to have to reign in my enthusiasm and perhaps fall into the vague areas. I was, however, very glad to see a very prevalent issue in our world make the transition over into the shifter world. It definitely made for an intriguing situation, and some serious action as the culprit is tracked down.

There are twists and turns in this story, and not everything is obvious through much of the story. The one thing that does ring true throughout is the sizzling attraction between Jenna and Sarandon. A compelling romance that will keep you flipping pages til the end. I loved being back in this world once again and this couple is well worth getting to know. It’s always good to see old friends and you can expect the Silver Town pack to be right in the action to clear Sarandon’s name – plus some surprises along the way. Looking for your next shifter fix? Then you need to go pick up All’s Fair in Love and Wolf. You’ll discover a steamy romance, a loyal pack and an unusual situation to be dealt with. I’d recommend this story and this series to any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader who loves a good story, likable characters, a puzzle to solve and those sizzling moments we’ve come to expect from any story from Terry Spear.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

This was more like a midseason filler episode of Dateline than a action packed ripped from the headlines episode of Law and Order. What set off the story was stupid, at least for a family of bounty hunters that have been at it for over half a century. Identity theft is a good premise, but there needs to be something done with the identity. The culprit did commit a crime under an assumed name, but it was one thing that was quickly and easily resolved. Jenna was an ok character but not really outstanding for the genre and she might as well have been human, since she seemed awestruck by pack life. Sarandon was a ok character also, I was glad that he at least wasn’t brooding and depressed. The romance was blah, and I found it odd that they kept telling everyone they are courting. It seemed a little high school to me. The ending was filled was a cop out, so the story fizzled instead of ending with a bng. Overall I was bored and disappointed while reading this book.

Okay

I felt this story had a great concept and fun characters but was twice as long as it needed to be.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy.

3.75 stars--ALL’S FAIR IN LOVE AND WOLF is the twenty-fifth instalment in Terry Spear’s contemporary adult HEART OF THE WOLF paranormal, romance series. This is Silver Town wolf Shifter Sarandon Silver, and bounty hunter, she-wolf Jenna St. James’s story line. ALL’S FAIR IN LOVE AND WOLF can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from third person perspective including Sarandon and Jenna, ALL’S FAIR IN LOVE AND WOLF focuses on wildlife tour operator and wolf shifter Sarandon Silver’s determination to prove his innocence when he is mistakenly targeted by a she wolf bounty hunter. Enter Jenna St. James, bounty hunter and wolf shifter, and the female with whom Sarandon will fall in love. What ensues is the slow building story line and romance between Jenna and Sarandon, as they search for the wolf impersonating our story line hero-a wolf whose resemblance to Sarandon goes more than skin deep.

ALL’S FAIR IN LOVE AND WOLF is a detailed and complex tale with a large ensemble case of secondary and supporting characters; many twists and turns that bring our couple in contact with another pack, a couple of rogue wolves, and the probability that not only is Sarandon targeted in a case of mistaken identity but identity theft as well. The premise is cleverly written; the romance is slow to build as our couple struggle with the possibility of a long-distance relationship as such that neither one is willing to walk away from family and friends; the numerous characters are passionate and spirited including the introduction of the St. James family; the leading couple is energetic and sensual.

Terry Spear’s ALL’S FAIR IN LOVEAND WOLF is an excellent addition to the Hearts of the Wolf series. She-wolf/bounty hunter, Jenna St. James, is tasked to bring in, Sarandon Silver. She is expecting to apprehend a human. What she finds is a wolf whose pack is going to help him fight to prove that he is innocent. This contemporary PNR takes place in Colorado.

ALL’S FAIR IN LOVE AND WOLF is a charming story. That characters are likable. The plot is clever and mysterious. I like Jenna. She works with her parents and sisters. They form their own mini-pack. Sarandon is one of the Silver brothers from the prior books. He is one of those people everyone likes. He is a good guy with a wonderful personality. Jenna and Sarandon have great chemistry and work well together.

I liked how the ghost-hunter crew was brought back into this story. The history discovered in Ritka’s diaries was fascinating. I also appreciated the identity theft aspect of the novel. It is very pertinent in our society. ALL’S FAIR IN LOVE AND WOLF was skillfully written and exciting to read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Jenna was part of the family business of bails bondsman/ bounty hunters that her mother -Victoria- had taken over when her father had passed away. Now Jenna’s dad and her two sisters- Crystal and Suzanne - worked for Victoria as fugitive recovery agents- bounty hunters- bail bondsman all the same thing . Jenna had been one of a set of triplets.Jenna’s family had one of the most successful fugitive recovery businesses in Colorado. Jenna’s family were all wolf shifters. Jenna had been mated to Will for about five months and then they were hit by a drunk driver . Will had died and Jenna lost her twins due to her injuries. The driver had been hit and run fifty years ago. Cavendish run off to avoid standing trial was jenna reason for joining the family business. Jenna was now after Saradan Silver who had cut off his GPS signaler and ran. He was charged with identity theft. mail fraud, and possessing stolen property. Jenna thought it was a shame Sarandon was a fugitive as he was hot. Jenna was going to Silvertown as that was where Sarandon was listed as living on his license. Victoria was worried for Jenna’s safety but Jenna told her she had her bulletproof vest on, had her rifle, pepper spray, her taser. And a knife on her leg and hand ties. Sarandon brother Erik and had used a deed to a piece of undeveloped land for collateral then later Victoria found out the deed was a fraud. Victoria would have to pay $150, 000 if Sarandon did not show up for court. He was looking at fifteen to thirty year sentence if he was found guilty. Sarandon was heading to Elk Horn cabin for a two week vacation. Sarandon was one of quadruplets brothers- Erik was the oldest, next was Sarandon then Brett and CJ. C J was deputy sheriff for Silvertown. They were all Silvertown wolves. Darien and Lelandi were their pack leaders. The whole town was made up and ran by wolves they even had a judge who was a wolf. Sarandon ran all kinds of adventure/nature tours. Jake was Sarandon’s cousin and a nature photographer. After Sarandon got to the cabin he unloaded everything he had brought and started a fire and decided to go for a run and changed into his wolf form. Sarandon heard a car pull up that he wasn’t familiar with so he ran back to the cabin got dressed and grabbed his gun. Then Sarandon found a woman with her rifle aimed right at him and she was trespassing so he took his rifle and aimed his at her. She tells Sarandon to put his gun down and he does to be nice then she calls him by name and he said he was Sarandon .Silver and Jenna said she was there to arrest him and explained why. Sarandon said he was innocent then she tackled Sarandon to the ground but he switched Jenna to her back and hand tied her wrist with her hand ties. Then Sarandon took her weapons and took her to the cabin and locked her weapons up. Jake had joined them while they were outside then he went inside the cabin with Sarandon and Jenna. Jenna didn’t like meeting with the pack leaders but she was going wherever Sarandon went and she really didn’t have a choice. Jenna and her family didn’t belong to a pack. They then took Jenna to Lelandi and Darien’s home. Jenna had her mother send the mug picture from the jail and the man had a beard this time and the man had a red beard and Sarandon had a dark beard and everyone said the same. C J took a lot of notes and questioned Jenna as they were going to look for whoever stole Saradon’s identity. Jenna also told Sarandon that he had been caught with five different credit cards, three passports, and three different drivers license, Sarandon also had said he hadn’t been in Colorado Springs in a couple of years. Sarandon said his fingerprints would prove his innocence. Eventually Jenna believed Sarandon was not the guilty person. Her she wolf also realized Sarandon was her mate.
I had mixed feelings about this book. I had some problems really getting into this which is unusual for me and a paranormal book. I felt the romance was too slow at times a shifter is suppose to know if another shifter is their mate weather they want to fight it may be a different story but they know. This also dragged for me at times. But the plot was really good and i also loved how the whole pack had Sarandon’s back and would do anything they could to help prove his innocence. I did have some trouble keeping my attention on the story. But it didn’t take jenna all that long to believe Sarandon was innocent. But at least she stayed with him to make sure he didn't take off on her just in case until she just knew Sarandon was a victim also. Then she also helped to find the real criminal. I did like that Sarandon and Jenna did work together and I liked them together. As I said I had mixed feelings but not regret in any way reading this book and I did finish this and enjoy it for the most part. I would also rate this 3.5 if i could and I liked the characters also.

This book had a great first meeting between Jenna and Sarandon. I was a bit surprised that Jenna listened to what Sarandon and the others had to say and believed them so easily. I thought this might have dragged out longer, which I wasn't really looking forward to. It was great to see Sarandon and Jenna work together to figure things out and how all of Silver Town jumped in to help where they could.

What Sarandon found out seemed a bit far fetched, but I went with it. I really thought things were going to end bad for the initial person they were after, however things weren't what they seemed. It was nice that once again Jenna and Sarandon, who were a team at this point, listened to what was said, leading them in a new direction.

By the time this one ended, I thought those that deserved happiness got it and those that didn't, got what they deserved. I really enjoyed seeing all the different packs work together and celebrate, something I think they all needed.

I completely loved this couple's first meeting. Jenna is a recovery specialist...or a bounty hunter. It is a family gig since her mother is the bondswoman she, her father, and her two sisters hunt people down for. Her current fugitive to locate and bring back is Sarandon Silver.

Sarandon is surprised when a female he has never met before pulls a gun on him. It gets even more confusing when each realizes the other is a wolf and neither want to back down. In a case of what could be mistaken identity, or realistically identity theft, these two characters get together to track down the person who truly started the chain of events that brought Jenna into Sarandon's life.

It was a 3/5 for me. It was a good book.

Thank you to the publisher for the review copy of this book. I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.

I really enjoyed this book, nice to see the last of the Silvers (that we know off!) settle down. I love Sarandon and Jenna as a couple! There was a great plot, though I hope for the sake of the Silver brothers & cousins that this is the last trouble to come to them because of the Quads late father!

This book will be a great read for those of us who enjoy shifter romances. A case a mistaken identity, family drama, and some romantic attraction. The story has a solid plot and well-rounded characters.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Source books/Casablanca for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. A little convoluted, but A lot of fun! It appears to be part of a series (if not everyone knows everybody), but reads well as a stand alone book. I really liked that they took their time before mating. I think most paranormal romance readers would enjoy this. I give it a 4.

A wolf shifter bounty hunter, Jenna is sent to capture Alex. Alex, also a wolf shifter, is a victim of identity theft and unaware he is wanted for a crime and escape. While there was instant attraction, the relationship did not progress as fast as in some books. The reader has the opportunity to get to know Jenna as an independent career minded woman, who is also devoted to her family. Alex lives in a town run by wolf shifters and is embraced in his community. There is crime, intrigue and romance in this book. It is a recommended read.

Another winner in this series. A female bounty hunter a case of mistaken identity a little romance thrown in and you have a great book that I could not put down until I was finished with it.

Another great book in the series. This is the romance of Jenna, a bounty hunter, and Sarandon, a guy who goes on nature hike tours. Overall a great story, and I liked it for the most part. She mistakes him for his half brother he didn't know existed, and tries to arrest him. Naturally he resists, and the fun begins. A couple of things that I didn't like was his name. Kept thinking he was a girl. And the other was the ending climax of the bad guy sneaking into the house and such, was there and done too quickly. Just felt a little rushed, and almost as an after thought. Minor items though, and would still highly recommend this book and author.
