I am typing this with a mischievous grin and a gleam in my eye. It Must've Been the Mistletoe was the perfect fantasy Christmas story. A blast from the past Christmas miracle to get anyone in the holiday spirit.

It's sweet, charming, and absolutely perfect. It will leave the reader smiling with hope filled eyes. Just remember to pick up some mistletoe...

This was such a sweet, romantic and magical christmas story. That completely captured my attention and imagination. As the storyline was so interesting, unusual and different to anything I usually read. And I honestly loved every moment of it and can easily see myself rereading this story every Christmas. Which is why I would happily recommend It Must've Been the Mistletoe to others.

This book is just lovely! What a sweet story that draws in the reader, capture your attention, holds your interest throughout and leaves you wanting more! I was not ready for this book to end, I just wanted a few more chapters! A truly unique and unforgettable love story. Excellent writing to make the time travel seemless and heartfelt. This would be a wonderful Hallmark Christmas movie.

It Must’ve Been The Mistletoe

So sweet and wonderful love story.

Adeline is a high school history teacher that loves her job and everything to do with history including her family’s.

William is a workaholic that never thinks he’ll fall in love.

Until Adeline falls asleep waking up in 1865. Remembering her future she decides to just enjoy every moment until she wakes up. Little does she know her family history could change everything. I added part of the author Blurb below because L.P. Dover explains it best

Author Blurb:
A week before Christmas, Adeline is all set for her best friend's wedding, even though she dreads having to go to it alone. But when she's given a Christmas wish that could change her future forever, she's whisked away to the past, to a completely different place and time. It's also when she meets him, William Blair, the man who steals her heart.

As their relationship grows, Adeline realizes that true love does exist. What she doesn't know is that her wish can't last forever, that soon she'll have to leave the past behind. Will Adeline and William find their way back to each other? Or will their love have to stay where it all began . . . in 1865? With mistletoe and Christmas magic, anything's possible.

This book was written in multiple POV. However it is so well written that it will get you sucked in from the beginning. It’s easily a book that could be shared by a younger generation because it’s not sexually graphic at all. Highly recommend and easy to read!!!

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review!!!

Cute storyline. Adeline's first love is history. She has yet to meet the real life of her life. At her friend's bachelorette party, the wedding planner gives her a locket and slyly encourages Adeline to make a wish. Adeline wishes for her true love.

That night, Adeline dreams of a handsome, charming man named William. He just happens to have the same name and appearance as a friend of the bride who Adeline has yet to meet.

The dream takes place in the 1860's and it doesn't feel like a dream to Adeline.
She finds herself feeling more strongly for her dream man than any she's known in real life.

As she worries about the dream ending, she can only wonder what real life will bring.

Cute idea. This especially works with the Christmas setting.

I do have to say this especially because I read an early copy. I hope there's time to make a slight change to the content. The author uses the words "giggles", "laughed" and "snorted" on almost every page. I found it really distracting. There wasn't that much funny stuff going on in the story to explain all the laughing.

I got to read an early copy of the e book through NetGalley.

This was a cute relaxing read but it was a bit cheesy at times. Adeline uses a lot of modern language in 1865 and people have no issue with that. Seems strange. Other than a few oversights it was enjoyable. A nice love story.

I felt the ending was rather abrupt.

An interesting twist on Christmas romance, It Must've Been the Mistletoe is a fun story.

I really enjoyed the time travel aspect because it was set up well with Adeline being a history teacher who also loves her family history. It was fun to see her adapt to 1865 with her modern day sensibilities about things like independence and how men should treat women.

The love story did feel a little rushed to me, but had some moments that were really romantic and sweet. If you are looking for a Christmas story with a little something different, I think you will enjoy this book.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

There is always something magical about Christmas time. While reading It Must've Been the Mistletoe the true Christmas magic comes alive. Adeline and William are truly lovely. You can't help be feel the pull no matter if its in the past or current time period. I love how their love spanned time. Gives me hope for a little Christmas magic and true love existing. It Must've Been the Mistletoe is a new favorite Christmas time read for me. It is beautifully written and a perfect read to just curl up on the couch with a hot cocoa for a few hours. I really couldn't put this one down. Such a magical read.

Adeline is a history teacher and her best friend is getting married just before Christmas. The night before the wedding, Adelaide goes back to the 1800s and becomes one of her ancestors and falls in love with William. When she returns to present time, she can't believe how "real" her dream was. And low and behold ... William is her best friend's brother-in-law. Will she fall in love with the present day William? Will the present day William fall in love with Adeline like the William in her dream?

This is a sweet Christmas romance with lots of old time magic. I found it to be a little cheesy at times but it also has that Christmas dreams come true feel to it as well.

I received an ARC copy courtesy of the author through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

Finding your soul mate is a dream Adeline Hamilton thought was just that … a dream. After several failed relationships, she realizes she’s not capable of falling in love. The only passion she’s ever had is teaching U.S. History at the local high school. The book is amazing. When I started reading I couldn't put it down I read the book is one day.L.P. Dover is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of her books.Keep up the great work. This is the first book I read from this author.

Just the book the start the holiday season with. It Must've Been the Mistletoe is a sweet romance. I love the way L. P. Dover writes this story from the past in a dream and present, it was interesting twist. The characters were well developed and likable. This story is a stand alone. I would recommend it.
