Wonderful!

This book gives you a breakdown on different writing styles, and a brief history on where they came from. Which is pretty nifty, because some things you just don't think to learn about. It also gives a breakdown of what the different pieces of letters are called, most of which I had no idea about. There are also a handful of examples of each writing style that you can try and replicate on your own.

After you get passed the breakdown, there are some step by step exercises for you to work on.
This was fantastic, intimidating, very hard, and super fun - all at once. I'm definitely going to revisit these activities and examples on a regular basis to get better with my text art.

This may not be the best book to START with if you're just getting into this art, but definitely a nice one to have in your collection.
