The premise of the book is great and the author really delivers. Great read. Highly recommended. .

This book discusses theory of urban planning and calls for an "open" city over a "closed" one. The book reads very much like a series of collegiate lectures, and, indeed, the author is a professor. Like such lectures, the contents vary and waver between engaging and interesting and tedious and academic.
