I want to say this was a heartwarming, sweet romance, but it wasn't ALL sweet, it was SO much more.
With the whole town of Eternal Springs involved, there really never was a dull moment.
This story revolves around Caitlin & Josh, and a trunk full of Josh's baggage that has yet to be unloaded. Caitlin's family has their own issues to deal with, all of it will tug at your heartstrings and get your own feelings very involved.
Well written with all the feels, a little heat, bits of laughter and a furbaby you'll absolutely love.
I received an ARC through Netgalley/Author and am giving an honest review of The First Kiss Of Spring, part of a series, but can stand alone with its own HEA

This is book in Emily March’s series about the lovely, little Colorado town of Eternity Springs. The stories are simple, this one is about Josh who has had a hard life and Caitlin who has had an easy life and a nice career as a designer. They meet at a wedding. It is a typical Eternity Springs story, I have read several of the series and this one did not disappoint. So worth a read. Thank you, Net Galley, for allowing me to read it.

This is a sweet tale. I enjoyed it. It is tame compared to most of my reads, but I enjoyed it no less. Caitlyn is sweet and honest and Josh is hard-working and has some secrets. This was a test between them with all the other residents of Eternity Springs in play. Fast read. Love Celleste's character. Good one!

I received this ARC from the publisher via Net Galley for my honest review. Thank you Net Galley!!

A mesmerizing story of attraction, self-doubt, heroism and determination. This page turner was hard to put down. I hated to see it end.

This book is a sweet romance about two people that even with their tragic pasts can find love. The story is set in the Colorado town of Eternity Springs. I read this book in one sitting but since it is the 14th book in the series I would highly recommend you don’t just jump in like I did. I was pretty lost for a while. I enjoyed this book once I got some bearings.

The First Kiss of Spring is a touching story of two people who fall into a friends with benefits arrangement because one tells the other that he will never fall in love again. Of course, the challenge is set and the story progresses with personal problems, medical issues, separation, and redemption. A well rounded story.

A light and refreshing book that builds on the Eternity Springs series. Josh and Caitlin meet each other under the most unexpected circumstances, but take advantage of the opportunity to get to know each other and a flame is ignited. As life circumstances bring them together again, they go through the expected bumps in the road, and past experiences come to light.

When Caitlin returns to Eternity Springs she pursues mechanic, Josh Tarkington, who she fell in love with a few months earlier. Josh’s back story is complicated and keeps the reader intrigued throughout with the glimpses of the snatches of journal pages revealed between chapters. Not only do we get to revisit characters from past books, but the reader is kept on the edge of the seat by all of the excitement and drama in this book but the romance between Caitlin and Josh is complicated by his past, her dad’s dislike of Josh, and all of the events in-between. I could not put this book down and literally read it in one sitting! I loved revisiting Eternity Springs and the characters which seem more like family!

This book was weird. I liked the two main characters, and I liked the relationship between the heroine and her brother. But there were too many odd details that were unnecessary. For example, expressing the dog's bladder (gross), the horrifying tornado incident (wasn't his horrifying childhood as described in the diary entries enough?).

I have read a few other books in this series. As always, this book was an enjoyable read. I like how the author incorporated the journal throughout the book. I would recommend this book about sticking by those you love.

While I enjoyed the characters and plot of this book, I did take issue with a few things. I felt the author should have explored Caitlin's misery after the breakup more instead of glossing over it and keeping her busy with putting her new business together. Also, the journal entries inferred Josh had been molested and/or raped at a young age but that subject was never touched on in the actual story. That is a big piece of who he became and could have been integrated into the story as why he does care for and protect children.

Overall, the story was good but not great because of those missed opportunities.

This is the `4th in Emily March’s series about the lovely, little Colorado town of Eternity Springs. All the books have basically the same plot: two people who have experienced pain in their past come together in the friendly community and, with the help of the other townspeople and the mystical Celeste, overcome their personal tragedies to find love.
In this book the couple is Josh Tarkington, a man with a somewhat mysterious past full of tragedy, who has come to Eternity Springs to get away from the tragic bad luck that has followed him all his life. He meets Caitlin Timberlake in Telluride. They’re really attracted to each other, but then he’s horrified to find out that she’s from Eternity Springs and is going to be moving back there. He fears the temptation he’ll have to fall for her.
But she falls for him right away and the struggle is on to see if her love can overcome his fears. We all know how it will end, but it still is interesting getting there.
I’ve read all the prior books, but I still have trouble remembering all the details and connections among people. March doesn’t provide much background to explain everything so I imagine that it would be difficult to come to this book for your first experience with this series. I know that writers have to find a balance from too much repetitive descriptions of the back stories of the characters and communities in series, but there should be a little more so that someone doesn’t feel like they’ve parachuted into a foreign land without much of a map.
But that was my only complaint. Otherwise, this was another enjoyable visit to Eternity Springs.
I was given a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Whose journal is this, and who hit them?

Ew. I wouldn't be flattered, either.

Yeesh, it really is a small world.

Her father is crazy.

Why are you eating an apple after your dentist appointment, Chase?

Now you're just a stalker, woman.

She thinks it's costume jewelry. Wait until she figures out the emerald is real.

He did a good thing, even if it hurts his body now.

Whole lot of secrets in this town. It's getting annoying.

Ha, he answered his own question! He didn't need Celeste after all.

Cute ending.
