Simply Blessed was a enjoyable addition to my daily reading. Trying to become more in touch with my faith, Simply Blessed was an easy approachable introduction. With life so busy, it was nice to open the book for a quick daily read.

SIMPLY BLESSED is a thirty-one day devotional primarily developed to help us "see God for who He is: God. He is not a religion like the one we have made him into. He is the God of relationship." Chaffin discusses how she found a God of grace in Christianity, having previously thought of him not unlike the Wizard of Oz, omnipresent and all powerful yet only willing to help those he deemed worthy. The book is meant to give new Christians a foundation for their faith, and also to help those who've been practicing for awhile refresh their relationship with God and Jesus. The book is definitely not meant to be rushed through, but instead to be taken day by day.

Chaffin is human. She's "normal". She's not a pastor or a pastor's wife, she's just an every day woman who felt that her calling was to share her story and her guidance with others, and I felt like this made her devotional more...connectable to my own life. She offers guidance in prayers at the end of each day's chapter, as well as tasks to further what the lessen is she's been sharing is showing a reader.

Whether you're just beginning your journey, or you've been on it awhile, I highly recommend this book as a guide a long a portion of your journey.

I am reviewing a copy of Simply Blessed through Broadstreet Publishing Group and Netgalley:

In this book we are reminded that we can find God, even in the mundane moments of life. We are reminded too that as Christians we should be clothed in his righteousness.

Kim Chaffin reminds us too that our choices do not have to define us, the mistakes we make can be forgiven.

The author points out too that God is the Gardener of our heart.

We are encouraged too check our burdens at the cross. We are reminded too that we can't control everything. We are reminded too that fear is not from God.

I give Simply Blessed five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!
