I am a big Elle Casey fan, and have been for years, However I was unable to finish this one. Perhaps it was me being burned out of the genre. I will definitely give it another chance at a later date.

In the bright lights of the big city, she’ll find red-hot music—and red-hot love.

This is my first time reading a book by this author and I really enjoyed it.

3.75 stars-- AMBER is the first instalment in Elle Casey’s contemporary, adult RED HOT LOVE rock, romance series focusing on three sisters-Amber Fields, Emerald Collins, and Rose Lancaster. This is rock star Ty Stanz, and twenty five year old Amber Fields’ story line.

Told from first person perspective (Amber) AMBER follows twenty four year old Amber Fields as she goes in search of the truth. For twenty –four years Amber and her two ‘sisters’, Emerald and Rose, have lived a quiet, hippie-like lifestyle with their mothers, mothers who sought the peace and solitude of a free existence, an existence far from the life they once grew to love. When a powerful attorney shows up offering the sisters a lump sum payment for sins of the past, Amber is about to get the experience of a lifetime when she heads to New York, and discovers the secrets about her mother’s life. Enter rock star Ty Stanz, and the man with whom Amber will fall in love. What ensues is the building relationship between Amber and Ty, and the potential fall-out as all is revealed to the world to see.

Ty Stanz is the new lead guitarist for the 90s rock group Red Hot but as weeks lead to months where Ty does not feel like a member of the group relegated to errand boy and punching bag for Red Hot’s die-hard fans, our hero struggles with his place in the band. Meeting Amber Fields gave Ty a chance at his own happily ever after, a happily ever after that is threatened by secrets of the past, secrets that may destroy the woman he loves, and the band he hopes to call his own.

The relationship between Ty and Amber begins acrimoniously as Ty is unhappy as escort and chaperone for Amber Fields. Amber is a strong willed, independent young woman who is willing to go head to head with anyone discrediting her family or her life but secrets from the past are about to blow wide open the family she thought she knew. The $ex scenes are passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble of colorful secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to the members of Red Hot: lead singer Red Wylde, drummer Mooch Gyllenhaal, rhythm guitar Cash Stagger, bassist Paul Goldman, former band member Darrell Ford, and their lawyer Greg Lister and his niece Linny Lister, as well as Amber’s mothers Barb Fields, Carol Collins and Sally Lancaster.

AMBER is a story of family, secrets, betrayal and lies. The premise is engaging and entertaining; the romance is seductive and intense; the characters are flirty, cautious, sassy and real. AMBER is a wonderful and compelling story line with a kind-hearted heroine is determined to protect the people she loves.

The premise of the baby daddies wasn’t what I expected. This also had a younger voice to it that didn’t click for me.

Elle Casey's Amber is the first book in her new series, Red Hot Love. It was fantastically witty and a nice look at aging rock stars and their former groupies! I look forward to reading the next book in the series!

This novel was extremely plot driven which is my favourite kind of novel - I much prefer being gripped into a novel through the storyline rather than the characters. I find, strangely enough, that if the storyline is good but the characters are bad, I will still enjoy reading the book. However if it is the other way around, I won't like the book. It's a strange way to be, but it played right into my hands with this one with its incredibly well thought out and developed storyline which sucked me in and made me continue turning page, after page, after page. I took a break in the middle of this novel due to a reading slump, but the book left me yearning enough to pull me straight back in after the slump had finished. I felt extremely happy that this book managed to hold my attention and how much excitement I felt to pick it back up again only speaks for its quality.

Casey's writing is stunning; I love the way she weaves her characters into the plots, and I love the plots that she creates and this one is no exception. I also love the way she has created a rockstar romance and it is the first one of its kind that I have thoroughly enjoyed.

This book has stunning writing, fabulous characters, a brilliant main male character (it's quite rare that I love the male characters like this)... I would definitely, utterly recommend it! It's a story that is written in such a way that keeps you ferociously turning the pages with characters that keep you sucked in and begging for more. It was a really good book, there's no doubt about it! I think this would also make a good starter book for new adult; that's how much faith I have in it.

I might have asked for this book because we share the same name ☺. At least that's what first grabbed me. Then I read the blurb and I like a good rockstar romance so I was game for this. Well at least as long as the rock star in question is deep and feeling and over the groupie lifestyle. I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

New series! Three sisters live with their moms in the countryside at a hippie house. No fathers in sight, nor have there ever been, during their years on earth. As it turns out, they learn that their fathers were rock stars that their mothers hung out with until they got pregnant, then left their groupie lifestyle behind without a word to the dads. And now, a big city lawyer has come knocking offering them a huge amount of money to meet the girls and get to know them. Amber is the sister with the personality least unsuited to the challenge, and is designated to go to the big city to meet the band and find out what they have to say. Never intending to take the money, Amber is caught up with the personalities, including the hot young rocker who has recently joined the band to replace the late lead guitarist. It's a funny, heart-warming and engaging story - can't wait to find out what happens with the other sisters.

I really loved reading Amber's story! Her background is rather...unique. Growing up in a hippie commune, growing your own food, having three mothers and...well, you get the gist, right? When Amber and her sisters find out that they are the daughters of the members of a rockband, they soon realize that one of them should go and talk to their fathers. They need answers, especially answers to questions like "where have you been all our lives" and "why have you never bothered to turn up before"? As the most outgoing one of the sisters, it's up to Amber to go to New York to find their answers...and this trip might change her life for good.

With her unique mixture of naivete and character strength, Amber very quickly found her way into my heart. When she meets Tyler, the newest member of the band, sparks fly.....

Spending time in the city with Tyler and her (potential) fathers doesn't only offer her the chance to get to know those men who are her fathers much better but it also offers her the chance to makle more of this attraction to Tyler.

Once again, this book was highly entertaining, not only due to the story line, which is a bit different from her last books but also due to the style and the writing in general. I laughed a lot, it is witty and fund and a great read. I really loved reading this book!

t took me a little bit to get into but once I did I loved it. Elle Casey writes great characters and stories.
This one was different but just as good. Amber and her mother and sisters live in a commune. Hippie style. Amber and her sisters learn that their Mothers were groupies and now their fathers want to meet them. At first they're full of resentment but Amber goes to talk to them and you need to read because only Elle Casey can tell it the best.

I thought that this read was okay. It was sweet, funny, and cute but not something totally amazing. Amber grew up sheltered and protected by several "mothers" in a hippie community. Ty is the new lead guitarist in her fathers in her father's band. He is intriguing for the sheltered Amber, and its hard not to fall for him.

Amber has grown up in a hippie commune (or something like that) sheltered from the rest of the world. That changes when she and her sisters receive the news that they are daughters of multimillionaire rock stars. She goes to the big city to tell them a couple of things and where they can shove their money. What she doesn't expect is to be welcomed by a moody but handsome musician and his fellow band members (possible parents?).
Ok, I thought at first of Amber as endearing, but it came to a point where she seemed dumb. Like she didn't have common sense. On the other side, she was really nice, which was a change.
The sisterhood between the sisters was palpable and it's definitely one of the best aspects. I'll be sure to check out the rest of the series!

This was such a fun and unique storyline. Three sisters living on a hippie commute who find out they have Rockstar dads. Thoroughly enjoyable and we'll written. Highly recommend!

This was such a fun read and I really enjoyed it.This was different from anything else I have read in a long time.Amber lives in a commune with her mum and her friend they all live a really sheltered kind of life until a lawyer turns up with letters from their dads. They are shocked to learn that their dads are famous and that their mums were groupies. This is a great start to a new series and I cannot wait for the rest of the series

The premise of the book was certainly original: three sisters are raised in a hippie commune and their mothers used to be rock groupies. When the rockstar dads find out about their long-lost daughters, they reach out to reconnect. Amber, one of the sisters, goes to meet them and is thrust into a world opposite of her own; in the process, she finds love with Ty, the newest band member. This was a lighthearted read with its fun moments. It is necessary to suspend belief at times because the storyline is far-fetched (all 3 moms pregnant at the same time?!), and Amber's character straddles the line between naïve and sheltered to just childish.

Another funny story from Elle Casey with funny unusual characters. It is just POV from Amber trough whole story and seeing life through her eyes and Newyork was a very interesting experience. The whole plot and what the story is all about its so unusual but Elle wraps it up in a funny hot story with family drama, interesting characters hippies, and rockstars. Amber is a very interesting character, unusual and funny but also very strongminded and a girl with a backbone. But she has also weakness and that is her family for which she is prepared to sacrifice her own freedom. Ty is also an interesting character I like that he is prepared to fight for her. I can't wait to read what happens with her shy sister in next book.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

This is an epic will they/won't they, which I have to admit drove me mad a couple of times, but ultimately came good. I like the twist on the rock star romance, with Amber being the daughter of an old rocker, and I loved Amber's unconventional family. Casey creates a great cast of supporting characters that I hope we'll be seeing more of in future books. Amber's unusual upbringing adds an extra dimension to the story that lifts it from being your standard rock star romance and gives it more depth, making for a wonderful read.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Would definitely recommend it

What do you do when you find out your "unknown": dad is actually a rock god? Well for Amber's 2 sisters they struggle with the fallout while Amber takes the problem head on. She'll meet the men who fathered them and put them in their place, or so she thought. What comes next is sweet and sexy. Beautifully written and surprisingly relatable. I can't wait to read what Amber's sisters get up to in the next books.
