Wonderful collection of romance stories. Seven Texas Rangers find love as they work to eradicate a band of outlaws who are terrorizing residents around Hartville, Texas. When the governor sends the Texas Rangers to Hartville to take care of the Markham gang of outlaws, each Ranger is married to his job. While fighting for justice, each one meets the woman that can change his mind. Full of stagecoach robberies, kidnapping, and daring rescues, Seven Brides for Seven Texas Rangers won't disappoint in the romance department.

I have read and really liked a lot of the romance series by this publisher and these authors , but this one was a bit a disappointment. The last story in the group on Branch and Constance was great, but the rest were so lackluster that it took me weeks to get though with a book, that normally would take me a couple days. I kept forgetting who was who with too many disconnected names that were not explained, I didn't know who everyone was. It wasn't until the second to last story in the collection that I finally remembered the Hart family from another series that was talked about in this collection like everyone should know and remember their story. The villains were the only ones I could keep straight but even then the story wasn't consistent as Spyder was captured robbing a bank at gun point, but in the next story they mention that he was in jail but not how the back he got out. Some of the stories just seemed a bit far fetched. I really hate to say it since so many collections and stories by these authors are so good, but this collection I could take or leave. Again, the last story about Branch and Constance is the only one I would read again and really enjoyed and remembered.

Just as good  as the first one seven brides for seven Texans

And even though we didn’t see the harts much till the end it was good to check in a bit and see how some of the them were doing

At first I thought all the stories were gonna be similar or alot like stories I’ve read recently, but than each story started to be more and more different.

I received this book from Netgalley for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

This is well worth your time and money. If you love Texas Ranger stories or stories about brides. This is a wonderful collection. Each one builds on the other. The characters reappear in the other stories as all the rangers belong to the same Company and Commander.

All of these authors are very good on their own, so to get this collection with stories from each is a steal. The story thread continues in each ranger's story as they are after the same bandit gang. Each one has a different twist, a ranger with a different personality and history, and a new heroine.

I highly recommend this for your summer read and give it 5 stars for excellence. I received this from netgalley for my honest opinion.

Seven Brides For Seven Texas Rangers Romance Collection is fun to read - read all 7 Novellas. Each one as good as the next - I found myself laughing on some of them. The first Novella is about Justice. The next in line is about rescues. The third one is about rekindling love. The fourth one is rescuing. The last one is about safety. The one thing they all have in common - can you guess what it is? - - - Yup Faith in GOD This is so worth the read.

This was a great collection of stories and while each can be read as a standalone they are also connected. I really enjoyed these and found it difficult to stop reading each time I finished a story and wanted to get straight to the next one.A must read for all romance lovers

While I got bogged down in the first chapter with the names of all the Rangers, I HEARTILY enjoyed reading this beautiful collection of Ranger love stories. I especially liked Griff and Evelyn, and Micah and Laurel's characters and stories. And little Lane!!
While I've never been much for short stories (they always feel rushed) with the exception of a few details, these stories didn't feel rushed or too short--rather, they proved to be a delightful foray into new characters that I loved discovering, breathtaking scenery and fast-paced plots.

I just loved this collection of stories that takes us back to Hartville (7 Brides for 7 Texans), but this time with Rangers that get bit by the marriage bug, despite saying there is no way, no how they are getting married. We follow 7 different Rangers and different members of the Markham gang throughout. Plus we get some glimpses of some of the Harts as well. Would love more stories centered on Hartville, but not sure what they’d come up with next. This collection is totally separate from 7 Brides for 7 Texans, but it would be fun to read that one first if able, then this one. These are among my favorite collections.

These seven correlated novellas from seven authors tell the story of a group of Texas Rangers hunting the elusive Markham gang. While the authors did an excellent job weaving a cohesive narrative in this collection, I grew tired of it before I made it half-way through. Yes, each story highlights different characters within a different plotline, but each story could also boil these plots down to the same basic elements: strong Ranger does not want to get married, meddling Ranger wife sets him up, Ranger meets strong-willed, spunky woman, spunky woman finds herself in danger, Ranger attempts to protect woman, woman—attempting to display her strength and independence—does something stupid that puts her in further danger, Ranger realizes he loves spunky woman, Ranger rescues woman, Ranger and woman get married. While I typically appreciate strong female leads, this whole storyline felt contrived and even pandering. Heavy-handed character development also grew tiresome. Characterization in novellas can be difficult, but I have seen it done well. Again, I concede that romance writing tends to be somewhat predictable, but this collection went beyond even my threshold for toleration. I forced myself to finish each story hoping that the next would improve. It never did. If you’re looking for a fun novella collection, Calico and Cowboys and Regency Brides are much more satisfying and worth your time.

A troop of Texas Rangers are brought to Hartville, Texas in 1886 to capture a notorious gang of outlaws. The result is a story of love, God hand, and finding the woman that was meant to be yours, especially when your not looking for her. I liked the continuing but separate stories of these men and woman and how God brought them through danger, courage and determination, and unexpectedly by a gang of outlaws. There are 7 stories in this anthology focusing on each of the Texas Rangers who have come to town. These stories give a second meaning to the town's name of Hartville, for the family who settled there and the hearts given in love by these men and women.

It was a nice group of stories that were intertwined with love, courage, and God putting the right people together even though the circumstance might not have been the best. It showed the with his help and courage and determination you can find the person your meant to be with in the most unique situations.

I really loved this collection of novellas. It was fast paced and kept me well entertained with some laugh out loud moments. Who could resist a handsome Texas Ranger when he rescues you. These tough men aren't afraid to put themselves in harms way to save the day. They serve and protect but you will see the softer side of them whenever they are with their lady. Who's riding down that dusty trail after the outlaws? The Texas Rangers of course . I loved how this collection had some of the same characters in each story which made it easy and enjoyable reading. I always look forward to reading Barbour's Romance Collections they are simply the best out there!

Seven Brides for Seven Texas Rangers is a romantic western adventure with a healthy dose of humor and faith! As readers make their way through these happily ever afters, the balance of variety and continuity blur the lines between the lives of these normally solitary rangers as they unite and justice prevails. I heartily recommend this story to fans of sweet western romance and (fictional) Hartville, TX!

Texas Ranger Company B is stationed in Hartville, TX, their objective is to catch the Markham Gang that has been terrorizing the countryside for years. Their leader is Cass Markham, their signature is a coin with a bullet hole through it. Hugh Sterling is the captain of the Rangers, and is wife Etta, welcomes all the Rangers as her sons, she believes that it is high time that they got married, so she decides to start playing matchmaker for them all.

The Ranger's Reward

Ranger Griff, and Evelyn Prentis must maintain the illusion that they are married to protect themselves from the Markham gang, occupying the Prentis Farm. Evelyn's son, Harrison loves having a "Pa." Can they become a family for real, and catch some outlaws in the process?

More Precious Than Rubies

Childhood sweethearts Whit and Violet are brought back together when they are traveling on the same train. The train gets robbed by the Markhams. Violet is determined to recover her family's valuables, she is surprised by her courage doing things that she never thought she would. I liked how she found her strength, and how Whit helped her and supported her all the way.

Jesse's Sparrow

Sarah is a survivor. When her stage is robbed she keeps a cool head and does all she can to help the others. When Jesse arrives, Sarah convinces him to let him her come with when he goes after the gang. I loved Sarah's faith and coll head in a stressful situation. Jesse is patient and respectful, and keeps offering friendship.

The Countess and the Cowboy

Ava and Ezra get off to a rough start, but get a second chance when they find that the Markhams are involved in a horse sale gone wrong. Ava won't be left behind, which is fine because Ezra likes having her around, she is clever, strong, observant, and a good shot.

Simple Interest

Augusta is a spunky heroine who keeps her head when the bank that she works at is robbed and she is taken hostage. She is clever and leaves clues for Ranger O'Neal to follow. O'Neal has like Augusta for a long time, and had been working up the courage to ask her out, but now that she's been taken he is determined to rescue her and make his feelings known.

Partners in Crime

Ranger Micah is deep undercover with the Markham gang when Laurel is kidnapped and held hostage. Micah has won the trust of one of that gang members and offers to help tend the prisoner. Micah tries to do what he can to make sure that Laurel is comfortable, protecting her without blowing his cover. Laurel is understandably scared, but she can't help noticing that Micah is different from the others. Can Laurel and Micah make it out alive?

Guard Your Heart

This is the last in the series and it ties up all of the stories nicely. Branch is Captain Sterling's right hand man, and is the most vocal opponent to marriage. Branch is tasked with protecting murder witness, Constance, who bonds instantly with Branch's dog, Jack. Jack is more than happy to guard Constance while they await the trial. Constance is courageous and willing to stand for what is right, she takes everything in stride, but she knows what Branch thinks about marriage so she tries not to read anything into his chivalry.

I loved all of the stories in the collection, they work well together, and share many of the same character. All of the rangers are good men who fight for what is right and to protect the woman that they love. Even though all the women come from different background and situations, they share traits of faith and courage. A fantastic read, with plenty of action on the Texas plain.

I received a copy from NetGalley; this is my honest review. 4.6 stars
00. Prologue ****: I love it when Barbour’s collections start with an epilogue. It lays out the theme/problem of the collection. Well done.
01. The Ranger’s Reward *****: Great clean western romance. No prayers, sermons or verses. Lots of action, suspense and romance.
02. More precious than Rubies *****: Super sweet story with a quick prayer here and there. I loved his sense of honor and her courage. Question: Is Mrs. Palmer the banker’s wife or the lawyer’s wife. The story says she’s both!
03. Jesse’s Sparrow ***: Waste of pages on prayers, sermons, etc. It’s an encouraging story for the less fortunate. Question: If Sara was stranded for five hours before help arrived, why didn’t she pick up “a bunch of stuff lay strewn all over the place”?
04. The Countess and the Cowboy *****: Justice and honor shall prevail. Funny moments. Loved it.
05. Simple Interest ***: Too much verses and prayers -> again waste of pages. Where another woman would’ve fainted, she just hanged on to dear life; good for her.
06. Partners in Crime *****: Brave and kind woman. Short and sweet. Loved the end. Fact: the “pretty calligraphy” created by “an artist in his or her own right” is not an artist at all it was the way everyone was writing at the time, just take a look at old documents and you’ll see for yourself.
07. Guard your Heart *****: The perfect woman for the perfect ranger. Loved it.
08. Epilogue *****: a good epilogue for a very good collection.

I love collections of stories like this, especially when the writers are some of my favorite authors. This collection is such fun!
Sweet, clean stories with great characters. It’s a toss up as to which story is the best, but I always love any story written by Kathleen Y’Barbo.
One of the best story collections published by Barbour Books. Just the book you need when you want something to read for a lazy afternoon’s enjoyment.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. This is my honest opinion of the book.

What a great book !! I loved how this book includes characters from the book Seven Brides for Seven Texans in it as well.
Once I got into this book I couldn't put it down !! I really liked how all seven novellas were tied together with one storyline.
I do hope that there is another book after this one,as the end of the book left me hanging.

Can I give this book more than 5 Stars? It is SO good!!! This group of authors have put together an amazing collection of novellas. Each one following the same main storyline, each building off the other. Each story focuses on one Texas Ranger and one leading lady. Erica Vetsch opens with a prologue that grabbed me and didn't let go. I savored the time I spent reading each story. I did not want it to end. I loved the women in each story. They were not the stereotypical damsel in distress. They were in distress but they were smart, strong women that helped in their own rescue.
Erica Vetsch also closes the book with a great story and epilogue. This is an action-packed, suspense-filled, romance with such real people and heart.
I highly recommend this book! Read one novella at a time or read the whole book at once, you will not be disappointed.

I requested approval to read an e-galley of this book because I've enjoyed so many of the recent novella collections put out by Barbour, the author lineup is full of names I know and whose writing I've enjoyed, and, quite frankly, because the title says "Texas Ranger." Having a Texas Ranger as the male protagonist typically means that adventure will abound, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that this collection returns, 12 or so years later, to the same setting as Seven Brides for Seven Texans and includes quite a few of the Harts of Hartville, Texas in secondary roles.

In one of the best prologues I've read in a Barbour novella collection, Erica Vetsch sets up the premise of Company B of the Frontier Battalion establishing a base in Hartville to pursue their mission of hunting down the infamous Markham Gang.  Led by their captain, Hugh Sterling, and his formidable wife Etta, the seven Rangers aren't looking for love but Etta has matchmaking on her mind.

As with the previous collection of stories set in Hartville, the novellas start with the youngest of the seven men and end with the one who would be voted least likely to find a bride.  While the personalities of the seven Texas Rangers were introduced in the prologue, it is in their interconnected stories that we see each of them in action and learn what drives them.

These are stories of lost love, first love, and second chances at love with women who range from a former prostitute to a widowed Countess.  While widowhood and former sweethearts abound, these are women whose personalities are as distinct as their male counterparts.  A uniting aspect of these female characters, one that I quite enjoyed, was their willingness to act in spite of their fears when faced with the evil of the Markham gang.  Whether they are being robbed, held for ransom, kidnapped, or just plain menaced, these are women with gumption.

If you enjoy a clean romance between tough Texas Rangers and women with the grit and determination to match, then this is definitely a collection of novellas to check out.  These novellas are a wonderful combination of action, adventure, and romance.  Well paced, well written, and not a dud in the bunch.  A new favorite among the Barbour collections, possibly even outstripping the previous Hartville set collection.
