I was so excited to see another installment in the Not Quite series! I’m glad we finally got Jason’s story, and Rachel is a great match for him. This is an easy read that quickly draws you in, but it has enough substance to sustain you. Reading the earlier books in the series, particularly Not Quite Enough and Not Quite Perfect can give you some background on the supporting characters, but it’s definitely not necessary. After you read this though you will want to go back and read (or reread) the entire series!

The relationships in this book are so touching Jason and Rachel are so cute together, then throw in a teenager that she is raising and the way they bond as a family and you have a wonderful story to take you away for a while.

4.5 Feel Good Stars

What a wonderful story. It's as much about friendship as it is about intimacy and finding that perfect someone. If you're looking for a romance that brings all the feels and some steam too, look no further. Not Quite Crazy is all the way perfect.

I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is more of a quiet romance - it has much less sex than a lot of romances that I read these days. It's more wholesome but it does have a few sexy scenes. But, I really enjoyed this one. It was nice to have a romance novel focus on the relationships among people instead of just the chemistry among people. I loved the story itself. Apparently, this is the 6th in a series but I didn't feel like I missed anything by coming in at book 6. I am interested in going back and reading the previous novels.

This is such a nice, sweet story about love - family, romantic and otherwise. Very solid story. Great characters that I really enjoyed. I definitely recommend this one!

I loved this book. Rachel was the foster mom of Owen when her friend Emma died of cancer. She had known Owen since he was 5 and he was now a teenager of 17. They moved to New York to be closer to his grandparents on his father's side so they would not sue for custody. She goes to work for a transportation company and it snows the first week. As a transplant from CA, this is scary. The car that passes her runs off the road and she gives him a ride to her house, not knowing he is the owner of the company she works for. Lots of drama from the grandparents trying to get Owen taken away from her. I got this book from NetGalley for an honest review. Again I loved this book. I have read Catherine Bybee before and she never disappoints.

Not Quite Crazy was a great addition to the Not Quite series. Catherine Bybee once again delivers an emotional romance to her readers.

Rachel Price has moved to Connecticut from California to be closer to Owen's grandparents. Owen is her best friend's Emily's son, and Rachel received guardianship of him upon his mother's death. To try and appease his grandparents, Rachel and Owen have moved in order to give Owen a chance to meet his dad's side of the family, as none of them have ever been in his life. First of all, I have to give both Rachel and Owen major props for doing this, especially after meeting his grandparents, who might be 2 of the rudest and most entitled people on the face of the planet.

Rachel meets Jason Fairchild totally by accident and doesn't realize until he shows up for a presentation at work that he is basically her boss. They had such amazing chemistry already between them, I knew they would be fighting their attraction to each other to make sure Rachel's job was secure. I also loved how close Jason and Owen grew over a relatively short period of time. I actually totally got that as Owen was 15 years old and had really never had a man in his life as his father had only been around a handful of times that he could remember.

I enjoyed the romance between Rachel and Jason. It moved at more of a slow burn and with all that was going on in Rachel's life, it made sense for them to move slowly. I honestly felt the fact that Rachel and Jason were friends first really worked in their favor long-term.

The custody drama with Owen's grandparents really just made me dislike them even more than I did upon meeting them initially. Really it was more the grandmother than the grandfather. He really just seemed to go along with whatever his wife wanted. I have to say I was a bit surprised by Owen's actions during this battle, but had to remind myself that while he acted pretty mature much of the time, he was in fact only 15.

Not Quite Crazy was a fun and emotional romance that grabbed hold of me early on. I had to keep reading to find out how Rachel and Jason could make their relationship work and to keep up with Owen. I really enjoy this series from Ms. Bybee.

After her friend passes away Rachel becomes guardian to a teenager and moves to NY to keep him near his family. He is her family and she wants it to stay that way. She will do anythinj in her power to do this.
Jason is the CEO of a jet company and somehow ends up in a ditch.
This is the beginning of the story for Rachel and Jason. As their friendship becomes stronger and drama is thrown in. They have to stand together as one to keep Rachel and her family together.
This was a great story that gives you faith that things will go well.

I really enjoyed this book. I have loved this whole series and and very sad that we are saying farewell to the Morrisons and the Fairchilds. Jason and Rachel’s story was wonderful. I loved the take on “don’t date your boss” and no one can resist a Fairchild who has set out to be charming. I loved that the story flowed in a believable way and the challenges they faced were not predictable. I also adored Owen, Such a fine young gentleman, I would love to see him as a hero 10-15 years down the road. And the relationship between he and Rachel was wonderful she was less of a parent (though I’m sure she was when she needed to be) than a guide to adulthood. I loved how everyone rallied when times got tough and pulled together and piled through when they needed to. Like I said I have loved this whole series and I’m sad its completed but it is a wonderful ride. Rachel Price and Jason Fairchild first meet during a wicked New York snowstorm, which has Jason stranded on the side of the road. Rachel gives him a ride and shelter until assistance arrives for him. They begin a casual, somewhat flirty texting relationship, but before they've even gone on a real date, Rachel is about to make a presentation at work, when Jason walks in. It seems that he is CEO and owner of the company she works for - in other words, her boss, and off limits. Though Jason is willing to pursue a relationship, Rachel won't take a chance on jeopardizing her job. She's convinced that dating the boss never ends well, and it's always the employee who suffers.

Though Jason is disappointed, he still maintains a friendship with Rachel, and her ward, Owen, and helps them settle in to their new home. Both Rachel and Jason are such amazing people, and have such longing for each other, that I found myself urging Rachel to take a chance. She's an extremely likeable and generous person. Her best friend recently died, and left her son, Owen, under Rachel's guardianship. In order to allow Owen to have a relationship with his grandparents, she uprooted them from California and moved to New York. As for Jason, he's not the stereotypical millionaire playboy. He's very dedicated to his family, he works hard, and he seldom dates.

I love that this couple had established a solid friendship before they actually began to date. Though they were obviously attracted to each other from the beginning, the relationship developed beautifully into passion, and then love. The path was rocky, as there were outside events, such as a tragic accident involving Jason's company, then a nasty custody issue with Owen - one that Rachel's relationship with Jason may jeopardize. This is my first experience reading Catherine Bybee, and I was very impressed. Her writing flowed smoothly from the first page to the last. The dialogue was believable and real, and I became totally invested in this story and this couple. NOT QUITE CRAZY is a warm and sexy read that captured me, held my attention, and left me smiling.

I am hooked on the Not Quite series. This one was like a fairy tale. Girl works while raising her best friends son, stops to help a stranger during a snow storm, and stranger changes her life. The catch? The stranger is her boss and CEO of a private jet company.

The stranger is Jason Fairchild. He lives to work. Until a fateful night when Rachel Price gives him a ride after is Audi swerves into a snow ditch. Immediately when these two met the reader could feel the attraction. I knew their story would be interesting, fun, and sexy. I loved that Jason immediately took into account that Rachel was a mom. He made plans, dates that included Owen. He connected with Owen just as quickly as he connected with Rachel.

Not Quite Crazy is a fun and fast read. The storyline was enjoyable, quick, and easy to follow. There was flirting, sexy fun, and family time. Add in some drama, some family discord, and some scary mom moments and it is the perfect story. There are twists and turns throughout the story that changes some of the storylines from where I thought they were going to go but the ending was perfect. I ended with hope for Owen to be happy and a full heart for Rachel to be living life her way with Jason who is going to give her the world.

I definitely recommend picking up your own copy of Not Quite Crazy.

As she's shown time and again, Bybee is a wonder at creating characters you connect with.  Rachel is kind, responsible, and strong.  She struggles when she finds out that the hottie she helped is her boss, but Jason proves pretty hard to resist.  Because, for being a billionaire CEO, Jason is down-to-earth, caring, and dependable ... he's also pretty set on getting what he wants.  (I'm pretty sure their courtship is one of the sweetest things I've read in a long time!)

I also fell for their assorted friends & family.  They are all friendly, kind, and willing to pitch in to do what needs to be done.  While there is drama, some that you see coming and some that is unexpected (but none of it causing strife in the actual romance which I appreciate), it's never over the top.  Instead the struggle just helps to deepen their assorted connections and intensify an already emotional story.

As much about friends and family as it is a love story, Not Quite Crazy continues Bybee's streak of delivering must-read stories full of love in a multitude of forms.

Not Quite Crazy by Catherine Bybee was an excellent story that I really enjoyed. I love her writing style as it flows so smoothly, and the pace is perfect! This story was well written, and I felt I was right there with the characters. This book had all the makings of a great story. It had emotions, romance, family, friendship, and humor. The two main characters were Rachel and Jason, and their romance interplay was delightful. This book was hard to put down and I read it quickly. I highly recommend it!

Catherine Bybee is one of those authors you can count on to write solid, feel good, make-you-happy-sigh stories with swoony men and relatable heroines. Not Quite Crazy is no exception, and another wonderful conclusion to the Not Quite series.

Rachel Price has recently been given custody of her best friend’s 15 year-old son. In order for Owen to be closer to his biological family, they have moved from California to Connecticut, and while it has been an adjustment for them both, they’ve settled into their new life fairly well. Owen is making friends, and Rachel is enjoying her job in the marketing department of a multinational company in New York City. It’s on her first drive home in the snow that an impatient person driving an Audi tries to pass her and winds up in a ditch. Not wanting to leave him by the side of the road while he waits for a friend to rescue his car, Rachel offers to let Jason wait at her home, which is close by.

From the moment he set eyes on Rachel, Jason Fairchild is smitten. His life has been too busy with work the past several years to get involved with anyone, but for some reason the woman he met on the side of the road won’t leave his mind. So he starts trying to get to know Rachel and Owen.

But several days after they meet, Rachel discovers that Jason is the CEO of the company she works for. And not wanting to risk her job by getting involved with the boss, she tries to push Jason away. He’s not easily deterred, though, and quietly builds a relationship with both Rachel and Owen. When things become complicated and messy with Owen’s grandparents, Jason is there to provide the support they both need.

I have loved every single one of books in Ms. Bybee’s Not Quite series. They are the perfect blend of realism, with just enough fantasy, to make them the best kind of escapism reading. I like my heroes and heroines to be people I can relate to, but it’s also fun to think about what it would be like to fall in love with a man who owns airplanes and can fly you off to wherever your heart’s desire. In this book, Rachel was a fantastic heroine - determined to do the right thing, but also willing to let herself get swept off her feet by a good man. She was cautious and careful, but didn’t let her concerns completely paralyze her. And Jason...sigh. There really is a shortage of heroes who are rich, but also aren’t playboys who go through women like pop-up Post-It notes. Heroes like Jason Fairchild are ones I WANT to read about - without the alpha male, caveman antics that are so prevalent in today’s romance novels. He was kind, caring, and did the little things to show Rachel and Owen he cared. And while we know Jason was good looking, the reader doesn’t have to read over and over again about how the heroine’s body is affected by the hero’s good looks.

Really, there is a shortage of books like Not Quite Crazy, where two good (and normal!) people meet, build a relationship at a reasonable pace, fall in love, and then work through some obstacles on their way to happily-ever-after. No angst. No over-the-top drama. Just people being mature and facing life together. I’m sad to see this series end, but will continue to read Catherine Bybee because her books make me happy. And who couldn’t use more of that?!

Not Quite Crazy was an enjoyable read. I loved how Jason and Rachel met--her driving about as slow as her car could go in the snow, and him running his Audi into a ditch trying to pass her--and their relationships with Owen (Rachel's BFF's son, who she raising and the reason they're in Connecticut instead of California) were some of my favorite parts of the book (outside of the romance, of course!)

Probably just having the boss/employee angle would have given us enough conflict for a story, but naturally Ms. Bybee had to take things several steps further and throw in all kinds of complications--with Jason's business, with Owen's family and court drama--yikes. The first 2/3 is all cute starting-a-relationship material, the last keeps you on the edge of your seat, hoping everything is going to work out okay. (Spoiler alert--it does! Phew :))

Somehow I missed books 4 and 5 in the series ( Not Quite Perfect is Jason's brother Glen's book--the last one I'd read was their other brother Trent's) but this would have worked just fine even if I'd never read any of them before. Since the brothers all run the business, they're all here--but you don't have to have read their books (yet!) to enjoy this one.

I LOVE Rachel and Jason's story so much. They are AMAZING together and Owen, well I love him too! Such a great book!

This is the sixth book in the Not Quite series by the author and the third book to feature a Fairchild. Fans of the series will find themselves delighted with Not Quite Crazy since its older brother Jason's turn to find his own happily ever after. This one is set in the charming but snowing east coast and is more family centered with probably a little bit of suspenseful action. I did really like Rachel and Jason's unusual meet cute in a snowstorm and the way their romance developed despite the employer employee conundrum plus a possible custodial courtroom battle. This was a fun and sexy contemporary romance that stills pulls at the heartstrings with the concept of family.

Another reminder why I love Catherine Bybee books! It was a joy to read Jason and Rachel's courtship, and eventual relationship. When Jason figured it out, there was no stopping him! At least I didn't bawl like a baby with this story, but I definitely shed a tear or two. Sorry to get the end of the series, but now I get to start back at the beginning.

This book was so freaking good it bordered on illegal! Jason is the oldest Fairchild and took over the reins of the business when his parents died in a plane crash and also made sure his brothers were raised, well adjusted adults, had their part in the business, and also had their happy endings. Even when his well meaning sister-in-laws kept trying to fix him up on blind dates he was adamant about not wanting to go there and would find his own dates even if he was not really interested in finding one. That is until he tried to pass a car on his way home from work one snowy evening and ended up in the ditch. The woman driving the other car was such a surprise and *BAM* it was practically love...or lust...at first sight. Rachel is a transplant from California and this is her first snowstorm and not used to driving in the weather and when she gives Jason a ride to her house and Owen, her son by proxy, takes one look at Jason and goes to the kitchen and returns with a butcher knife before sitting down to finish his homework and stand guard until his ride picks him up. This is the start of this cute-meet and absolutely charming and chemistry filled story. Jason and Rachel didn't know they worked together or actually Jason was the CEO of the company Rachel worked for so he was her boss. Oh, that can't be good...This never got in Jason's way and nothing was going to let it get in his way. In typical Bybee fashion, this was well written with spectacular characters who were believable and the dialogue was stimulating and flowed to the point the pages turned so fast at one point I knew I needed to put it down but couldn't. This entire series was so good and each book could be read as a standalone but each has their own special something and when you put them together this is a wonderful family.

I highly recommended this book!
