This book made giddy with happiness! I loved everything about it! No dealing with other women trying to ruin their relationship. There was drama but nothing unnecessary to the story. It was a slow burn love that started with an instant attraction. It was a bit of a fairytale love story but still very realistic.

I really shouldn't be surprised. I have loved everything I have read by Catherine Bybee and I don't know why I haven't binge read all of her books. Trust me, that is going to be something I fix and soon because I need more books like this in my life!

Rachel has packed up her life and moved to Manhattan with custody of her best friends 15 year old son. She's known Emily and Owen for ten years and when they found out Emily had cancer, there was no question that Rachel would be Owens guardian.

In an effort to appease Owens paternal grandparents, who have never shown interest in their grandson until his mother died, they moved from California to be closer to them as they get to know each other.

Driving in her first snow fall, Rachel inadvertently runs Jason into a ditch. Rachel invites Jason home with her while he waits for a tow and the sparks are instantaneous. What Rachel doesn't know is that Jason is the owner of Fairchild Charters where she was just hired in their marketing department.

Everything about these two was a treat to read about. I loved how they met. How Owen reacted when Rachel brought a stranger home, to how Jason inserted himself into their lives.

Jason was charming and a true gentlemen. Rachel was a caring and intelligent heroine. Owen brought an extra level to the story showing how Jason stepped up when both of them needed him. A truly great read! ARC provided by NetGalley.

It's always a challenge to dive into an already established series. The abundance of previous characters dumped on the reader early in the story didn't help. The constant reminders of Trent being Mr. Rich who can dump money on a problem was annoying. Rachel at least was initially thinking when she balked at dating her boss. Meanwhile Trent is set on ignoring all the good advice he's getting about it. And what supervisor is so involved in how an employee gets to work?

Not Quite Crazy is the beautiful sixth story in Catherine Bybee's Not Quite series. I laughed, I cried, and I fell completely in love with this cast of dissimilar characters who created deep bonds of friendship and family over the course of a New York winter.

Rachel Price picks up a stranded man on a snowy road on the way home. As easily has Jason Fairchild appears in her life, things become equally complicated when she discovers that he's her new boss. Between juggling her new role as guardian to her best friend's son, running interference between Owen and his snobby grandparents, and resisting Jason's charm, Rachel has her hands full. Through tragedy and custody battles, she remains loyal to Owen and the promise she made to his mom on her death bed.

I loved everything about this story! The slow-burn romance took my breath away and the way the characters forged lasting bonds made my heart so happy. There were subtle plot surprises in this story that built my confidence in Bybee's writing and by the end of the novel I was sold. She put Rachel through the ringer and made her a stronger character by the end. Not Quite Crazy will make you cry, possibly ugly tears, and smile a big cheesy grin of contentment. The plot continuously pulls you in and keeps you guessing what's next for the characters as they navigate new relationships and life's curveballs.

Even if you haven't read any of the Not Quite series, you'll feel right at home with Rachel and Jason's story! It's one of those instant feel good stories that you'll be happy you shirked weekend plans for!

There's a sanity to the madness that is Catherine Bybee. At the heart of it all is the characters she creates. They dare us to be human. Encourage us to be empathetic and shine a light on what life has to offer whether ideal or heartbreaking. As an author she pulls back the curtain and guides readers with a profound sense of wisdom and wit. Not Quite Crazy is a nod to one life lesson we all take for granted. To get the most out of life, it has to be savored. Appreciate the little things and don't let the fast lane throw us off course. Jason and Rachel are the image of love could be. If given the chance to grow. Fresh and funny are a fabulous way to describe Rachel and Jason in Not Quite Crazy.

Rating: 4.5/5

Catherine Bybee gives us a heartwarming romance and something more with Not Quite Crazy.

I loved the cover, it looks so sexy and cozy - just timely for the weather here at my current country. I have loved this series and read most of the books in it. Catherine Bybee gives different tales from one book to the other, never leaves that some kind of familiarity with the plot or characters besides those butterflies in the stomach that keeps on popping with each book.

This time, I was quick to judge this as a forbidden-romance read. The employee falls in love with the boss type of story, but boy was I so wrong.

Rachel Price just moved into California to make things possible for everyone and landed herself a wonderful job in one of the big companies in there. She underestimated the weather (yes, the snow - just like what I did) and still drove right from Connecticut to New York City. Until one unexpected accident happened and she runs in to Mr. Good-looking who turned out to be her boss, Jason Fairchild.

I love Rachel - her independence and her personality. She's strong and a tough woman. You'd be amazed of what she did, and what she can do. She has a huge heart and would do everything and anything for the people she loved.

Jason Fairchild is successful because he was focused on his running his business. He didn't date that much or had himself in one of the pages in the tabloids. He lives a fairly quiet life, and tries to avoid blind dates set up by his sisters in law, until he runs into Rachel. Can he be able to convince her to give what they got a shot?

Jason is just right for Rachel. He's equally stubborn as she is and wouldn't take no for an answer. It's easy to like him. Not just because he's rich and he can fly you to anywhere in the world. But he cares for her and everything that she cares about. He'd do anything for her.

There are just so many things that happened in this book (and I don't want to put in spoilers), but one thing touched me the most is something about relationships and family. It didn't take someone to be blood-related for them to be called family. It is bound by love and not by blood. More than just your heartstopping romance, this book offers a tear-jearking, touching and loving story of what a family is and should be.

I loved it, and just like the rest of the NOT QUITE SERIES, I finished this book in a jiffy and enjoyed it immensely.

5 Star Review Not Quite Crazy (Not Quite Series #6) by Catherine Bybee
This is book 6 in what has come to be one of my favourite series. I’m sad to see the series end but Not Quite Crazy is a fitting and wonderfully written book to end on. Congratulations Ms. Bybee you have another winner on your hands.
I have been looking forward to Jason Fairchild’s story almost from the first moment he was mentioned in the series. There is just something about him that really draws me in. I knew going in that he would need a woman who was able to stand up to him and yet be vulnerable and Rachel Price is certainly that woman.
Having changed her life by becoming the guardian to her dead best friend’s 15 year old son Owen, she moves across the country so that he can be closer to his paternal grandparents, living in Connecticut and commuting daily to her new job in New York.
Whist driving home in a snow storm she accidentally runs Jason off the road and this is the start of a magical journey. Shocked to realise that Jason is her boss, Rachel is determined not to get involved. However Jason has other plans, he has given his whole life to the company he runs and it is now time for him to live and he is intrigued and attracted to Rachel.
I loved everything about Jason and Rachel both separately and together. I particularly enjoyed the relationship they each developed with Owen.
This book was extremely well written and the characters were easy to relate to and what I have come to expect from a Catherine Bybee novel.
Although part of a series, you will have no trouble following it and it can be read as a stand alone. This book made me laugh and cry; Catherine Bybee’s characters are at times complex and yet so simple, the love and friendships shared are inspirational. One of the things I most enjoy about this series is that there is usually the opportunity to catch up with characters from the previous books; this group of family and friends is one I would happily be a part of.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review through the publisher and Netgalley.

This series features the Fairchild brothers and each book can be read as stand-alones but I’m sure after reading one of these books you will want to go back and read the rest of the series. This is Jason Rothchild and Rachel Price’s story and it was a story I was excited to read.
Rachel has recently moved to New York City from California and the last thing she needs is snow on her long drive home from work, this nights journey home turns into a fateful night when a Audi try’s to overtake her and ends up in a ditch, Rachel offers to take the driver home so he can get a tow truck out to his car and get himself picked up, the attraction is instant but what neither of them know is Jason is Rachel’s new boss. Jason is the oldest Fairchild and it was his job to take control of the family business, he has always been the serious brother and has never had much time for relationships until he met Rachel.....
This book was just perfect I loved the witty banter between all the characters, I loved the loyalty both Rachel and Jason have for their family and friends. This was a great fast paced read and I loved every page, this book has left me wanting more so I guess it’s time for a re read of the entire series.

Great conclusion to Not Quite Series. This can be a stand alone or you can read the series. If reading the series, then read in order. I read the first book when I was An Amazon Prime Unlimited member Then I had to read the rest of the series. .I forgot, or didn’t realize this was part of the series until I was already into the first few chapters. No spoilers, just 4 stars for this chic lit romance with a story to feel for the characters.

This book was given to me by NetGallery for an honest review, and so glad I did. Now on to go back and read more of Catherine Bybee.

This is not the first book that I have read by this author, and I have to say I enjoyed this one as much as her other series.

I really like the way the author took the story from good times, to conflict and then to resolution. I did not expect the story to take some of the turns that it did. I enjoyed reading about Rachel and Jason and I hope to read more of this series in the future.

I never expected to like it, but it grew on me. The characters are relateable and I liked the fact that Rachel took Owen in. I'm not crazy about sleeping/falling in love with the boss stories, and the dad didn't play a huge role in this which was disappointing but all too real now a days. The first sex scene was sweet, but after that one I kind of skipped over the rest....maybe I'm just not into reading sex scenes as I used to be. But the sexual tension was good, it kept me reading. The instant spark between them you could feel jump off the page.

This the first book I've read in the series, and I must say I'm going to have to go back and check the rest out. The story is well written with a depth of character and a nicely flowing storyline. We don't breeze through to the ending with a big bow, which I personally cannot stand when things get wrapped up in two paragraphs.
Rachel has recently relocated to New York to offer a stable home for Owen. She is dealing with lots of changes and doesn't have time for Jason. But he may be the best complication in her already complicated life.

Catherine Bybee saved the best for last! The final installment in the Not Quite series features the oldest Fairchild son, Jason. Jason was surprised by a snowstorm when he was at work & drove home on slippery roads. When he went to pass a slow moving car, he lost traction & ended up in the ditch. When the other driver stopped to help him, he fell for her bright blue eyes, her light brown hair, her lips. He was mesmerized like "a teenage kid with an instant crush". After calling for help, Jason went with the other driver to her house to wait for help.

Rachel had moved herself & her best friend's son, Owen, across country from California to New York. Before her friend died, Rachel promised to take care of Owen. She agreed to the move hoping his grandparents would leave him be. Now she's dealing with the move, a new job, a smart kid, & his grandparents that thought he should be with them. She's anxious about taking the train into work so she's been driving everyday. She's never driven in snow though. After her near miss, she couldn't leave the other driver in the ditch without helping. She went to help him out of the car & the attraction & chemistry were instantaneous.

I enjoyed this book so much! The bond between Owen & Rachel was immediately apparent. They relied on each other for everything. Ms. Bybee's descriptive style of writing enables the reader to feel everything the characters went through from the attraction between Rachel & Jason, Owen & Rachel's grief, Owen's despair & dislike of his grandparents & even his grandparents apparent snobbishness. The interactions between Owen & Jason detailed Owen's wishes for a guy in his life & his feelings for Rachel to have a complete life. The interactions between Owen & Rachel were emotional, sweet, witty & loving. Rachel didn't want to take Em's place but you could tell what Owen felt for her. The interactions with Owen, his father (TJ), & his grandparents add even more depth & emotion to the story. This was a wonderful book to read & I would recommend it to everyone. There are even moments that the author made me cry!

After Rachel’s best friend dies and leaves her to raise her son, she makes the move from sunny California to the Big Apple just in time for winter. Determined to make the hour long drive into Manhattan each day for her new job, she’s sure she’ll get the hang of driving on the ice and snow. That is until she has a near accident and the other car careens into a ditch. With an offer to help the driver, Jason, she feels an instant attraction, not realizing she’s crushing on her new boss.

Jason has been carrying the weight of his family’s business for years since his parents’ deaths. While his brothers have found their forever loves he’s stayed away from even wishing for such a thing. It doesn’t take but a few moments in the company of Rachel to know that he might have found it without even trying.

This is a relatively low angst read with some drama from the boss/employee angle and then even more due to Rachel’s responsibilities to her friend’s son, Owen. The relationship between this couple is sweet and flows naturally even if a bit quickly, which was fine by me. I like my hero and heroine to feel something immediately, even if they’re not sure what it is.

This was a very enjoyable read, fast paced, well written and included couples from what I assume were the previous books in the series. I will definitely be checking out those stories in the future.

This is an honest review of an advanced copy provided by NetGalley and Montlake.

When Jason and Rachel meet, the attraction between them was instant. But before they could explore it further, she comes to know he is her boss and doesn’t want to put her job in jeopardy by dating him.
Jason is determined to explore the feelings Rachel has awakened in him. Will he be able to convince Rachel to give them a chance ?
I loved reading this book and would definitely recommend it. It was a beautiful romance that kept me hooked and also put me through an emotional wringer. I loved the bond and love between Rachel and Owen. I is a book that definitely goes on my to be re read list.

I love this series and am an avid fan of Catherine Bybee. I loved the 6th book in the series and could not stop reading! The characters are relatable and she touches on the what would you do idea. Meaning, what would you do for those you love?

Anybody that has picked up a book by Catherine Bybee, knows they are going to get a novel with innovative characters, interesting stories, and a bit of heat! Not Quite Crazy fits that bill perfectly! It's Catherine's combination of down to earth characters and the feeling that they could be the person sitting next to you, that grabs me! Her characters are believable and likeable that you can not help rooting for them to figure everything out! That's the case in Not Quite Crazy!
When Rachel causes Jason to run off the road in a blizzard, she goes to help. Immediate sparks! Both are smitten with the other but write it off as nothing. Only nothing turns into a whole lot of something when Rachel finds out Jason is not only her new boss, but he owns the entire company! This has all kinds of trouble written all over it! She can not date her boss and keep her job! Can she??
Jason doesn't date. He doesn't want to or even has the time to. That changes after Rachel runs him into the ditch and then offers him her help. He finds her irresistible-mesmerizing! He can't get enough of her! Does it matter she's the newbie to their company's marketing group?? Not to Jason! She makes him feel things he has never felt before. For the first time in his life, Jason wants to venture outside of work. And he likes it!! With Rachel being resistant, he's definitely got his work cut out for him!
I enjoy the magic that Catherine Bybee writes in her stories. Not Quite Crazy ticks off all the boxes! I was immediately invested and engrossed in Rachel and Jason! Sigh! I loved reading their journey. Yes it is rocky, but I had high hopes they would find their way! I wasn't disappointed!

It's been a while since the last Not Quite book, and I was happy to be reunited with so many familiar faces.

Who?

• Rachel had recently relocated from the west coast to the east coast. She was working hard to adjust to her new home, new job, and suddenly be the mom of a teenaged boy. Romance was the last thing on her mind.

• Jason was the oldest of the Fairchild clan, and due to his position in the family, had assumed the head role of the family company. He was hyper focused on the business as he tried to evade his sister-in-laws' efforts to find him a match.

What?

Inclement weather, a slippery road, and fate brought them together. There was an instant attraction, and it stirred the latent want buried deep inside both Jason and Rachel. But much to Rachel's dismay, she discovered that Jason was that Jason, the head of the company she worked for, and the two of them had to decide if an office romance was a risk they wanted to take.

Why?

I am a solid fan of this series, and was really excited when I heard we were getting another book. The final Fairchild brother was a great choice for the hero. I adore the dynamic in this family, and I like that we can get those billionaire romance touches with such nice, down to earth guys.

Jason, like his brothers, has a wonderful sense of family. I liked this about the Fairchild men, and see it even more in Jason than I had in Glenn or Trent. Gosh! Jason was so swoony and all in from the first meeting. He just knew Rachel was special and really pulled out his A-game to win her over.

There were lots of family time, but I think some of my favorite family-centric scenes were the ones between Jason and Owen, Rachel's "son". I really appreciated the bond that Bybee created between those two, because, for me, it was so important that Jason foster some sort of relationship with Owen in order for his relationship with Rachel to work.

The sources of the drama in this book were interesting. I am not a fan of petty drama between the hero and heroine, so it worked for me that all the sources of drama in this book were really outside of the two.

As far as final books in a series go, we did get a whole bunch of cameos from past couples, and Bybee gave Jason and Rachel an ending that made me shed a few tears. I would have liked to have had an appearance from all our Not Quite couples, but I am not sure how that could have been done.

Overall
Another solid Not Quite romance filled with wonderful characters, a swoony romance, heartwarming family time, and an ending which left me in happy tears.
