This was a good book about starting all over and how the past is with you, but you can still move on.

I absolutely love Barbara Delinsky books and this is no exception! Tragedy, hiding, digging deep and doing the right thing no matter the cost.

Barbara Delinsky is becoming a hit or miss for me. I’ve read some absolutely amazing titles and some that just don’t make the cut. Before and Again is one that fell short for me. The description sounds like the perfect novel but it was just too drawn out and the plot not well put together. I just wanted to be done with it and skimmed a good 3/4 of it

Love this book. I just could not put it down. There is so much going on that it keeps you on the edge of your seat and keeps you reading.

The cast of characters and the story line were very good. Check out her book I think you will enjoy it as much as I did.

My honest review or rather my opinion.
I didn't see this coming. A soap-Opera. I don't watch em on TV. OR Soap-Opera type books

The mother ran a stop sign. Crashed - killed her daughter - convicted - divorced and so the Soap-Opera begins. She changes her name to avoid publicity and exposure and moved to a different town.
I'd tell you more but that would be a crime and a Spoiler-Alert.

Once I started reading it the more it became apparent that I had to finish the story. Had many twists and turns. Every other chapter had a new character and more suspense. So, I had to finish the 500 or so pages. The ending was not what I expected but interesting.
Think the book will come out sometime in June 2018.
Got this book at no cost to me from Goodreads.com. I needed to get that in.

I would recommend this book to those that like this sort of thing. SOAP-OPERA.
Yes, it did deserve a 4. That's my honest review and opinion.

I liked the characters and the majority of the plot, but one of the major conflicts seemed kind of tossed in sporadically when it should have been the main storyline. The main character also kept regressing instead of growing until finally doing a complete 180 in the last chapter.

In this character driven novel by Barbara Delinsky, Mackenzie Cooper made a fatal mistake causing the death of her daughter. She has moved to a small town and restarted her life. But as a friends son is thrust into the national spotlight she comes to reality with her own tragedy. A great book that kept me reading page after page.

It has been a long time since I read a book by Barbara Delinsky. This book did not disappoint and brought together all the elements of good women's fiction. The main character, Maggie, has suffered from a horrible accident and rebuilt her life only to have the past come crashing back . A very enjoyable read!
Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this book. Mrs. Delinsky always makes the reader feel that they are observing the story as it is happening,

While a book about loss upon loss and tragedy upon Grady could feel hopeless and depressing, this one felt hopeful, and k greatly appreciated that. The heaviness of the subject of loss weren’t washed over but it also left the reader seeing depth and growth. While Maggie has lost pretty much everything, she is endeavoring to build her life back together. And while it’s an emotional roller past, it was filled with hope for the future and that was nice to see.

This one was super tough to read. As a mom of 4, I really felt for Mackenzie. She was in a car accident that killed her daughter and the other driver. While on probation, she tries to move forward. Lots of growth with this character, I was really rooting for her.

I was excited to read this book and was disappointed; I kept reading hoping the book would get better...it never did. It was a boring read, I tried to finish and could not do it.

This is teh type of book that sticks with you long after you read it. It begins with a tragic accident that in turn brings about a search for peace and foregiveness. Death of a child and family disfunction are prevalant. I felt as if I knew the characters and could feel their pain. So many layers to this story. Definitely a heavy book but was still easy to read.

Thank you to Net Galley and St. Martin's Press for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book grabbed my attention right from the start and kept my interest right to the very last page. This was a gripping and emotional story about what happens when tragedy strikes a family and how everyone copes and tries to move on. Maggie has left her previous life behind after a tragic car accident change her life forever and hides her past from her new friends so that she can stay under the radar and try to forge a new life for herself.
Her secret is at risk after her friend's son gets dragged into the spotlight for hacking a powerful journalist's Twitter account and now Maggie is not sure how long she will be able to hide her past.
I loved every minute of this book and could not put it down. A truly great read.

We hear about tragic accidents all the time but we never consider how those events impact the day-t0-day lives of the people involved. I have always felt sorrow for those parents who suffer the loss of a child through a tragic accident and I wonder how they fare in the months to come. Delinsky explores this in a heartfelt and sympathetic way.

In some ways, the book is predictable with a happy ending but the journey there shows heart and compassion. The power of communication is at the heart of this book. In some ways, I thought the character development was a little shallow, but I was absolutely rooting for Maggie and Edward and Grace and Chris.

I was provided a dARC from the publisher. This is my honest review.
