Even though Nell felt right at home as the palm reader at Scotland’s Baillie Castle, a romantic bed and breakfast, her own love life fell short. Surrounded daily by married and engaged couples, Nell enjoyed her independence, though there was this one sweet crush she had on a fantasy knight in shining armor. Her delightful end of summer is shoved into a powerful hurricane of mystery when an evil druid battles for her service, throwing her into nightmares and catatonic trances. Will her infatuation with the professional knight rescue her from the darkness or is he entrenched with the dreaded Druid? The hurricane reaches Category 5 intensity when a magic coin, the diva queen squad and a pair of witches collide at the castle. Will magic be enough to save Nell from a broken heart or cause certain death?
This was a pretty good story. I really liked Nell. The setting in Scotland mixed perfectly well with the paranormal aspect. I can’t wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend.

Real magic and adventure in a modern setting, with dashing heroes and bold heroines, this is a tale for the ages. I absolutely loved reading this, and I was sad when it was over.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley for an honest review. I love this book. Although this is the third book in the series, it was easy enough to catch up on who the characters are for someone just starting on book three. I love the main character Nell, and I think that it's great our heroine doesn't have to be a perfect size 6 to be attractive and interesting. This was an entertaining story and I am excited to go back to read the first two books in the series. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2285410119

The setting of this book is Scotland with a whirlwind trip to the States. Nell is a magical fortune teller who is visited by a mysterious druid. The druid foretells a return visit to the States and the meeting of a man she's already met.

I found the characters lacking as they could have had so much more depth to them that would have brought even more to the story.

The story just didn't hold my attention. I couldn't get into it for some reason. I felt like a lot of it was predictable and I couldn't develop a good connection to the story or characters. I really do wish I liked it more because any book about witches is amazing in my opinion, but this one just didn't work for me. Maybe I'll try to pick it up again one day when I have more time and patience.

I loved the set-up, a modern heroine working at a castle so she could camouflage her real magic as tricks for tourists. The book uses vivid description. For example, the witch's table for fortune-telling isn't just draped with "blue plaid," it's draped with "sapphire plaid." This is book 3 in a series yet the book was accessible for me, as a new reader, to jump right in.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the sub characters and the hero and heroine, plus the pop culture references made me smile.
