Who doesn't love Caillou?? Caillou Love His Daddy shows readers how much Caillou admires his father and strives to be like him. It also tells children how the family relationships between grandparents, fathers, and son. I enjoyed this book because it reminded me of the father-son bond my husband and son has.

You can never go wrong with a Caillou story for bedtime! This would be a good book for a dad to read to his son. Perfect as a father's day read too!

Lovely book about family relations told by a father to a son.
Children liked the story and understood the point.
Nicely illustrated as well.
Highly recommended.

I read this book to my kids not knowing that Caillou is a character on television until in the middle of reading this aloud my wife corrected my pronunciation and informed me it is a character from a kid’s show. This book is about a little boy name Caillou who loves his father; Caillou wants to be his father in every way, including being a father one day! Cute and adorable story and illustration. It is also helpful in explaining to preschool children the relationship of grandfather to one’s father and the grandfather to the grandchild. This work had pleasant illustration and colors with reasonable font size.

Such a cute book. I read this to my little one tonight and he liked it. He normally doesn't like Caillou but it was about daddies and he loves his daddy. I loved the part where Caillou wanted to dress like his daddy. I think most children want to dress like someone they admire when they are little. I know I did as a child. I would recommend this book to friends for their little ones. It was a short, easy read that keeps the attention of younger kids.

The illustrations are always great and I enjoyed the sentiment here, like the Mommy one, but it still wasn't spot on. Considering the subject, this would be better as a read-along type of book, that a beginner reader could complete.

Thank you Netgalley and Chouette Publishing for this digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

Caillou Loves his Dad is a companion to Caillou Loves his Mom. I love how this book shows how different his Mom and Dad are, but they both love him very much. In this story, Caillou seems very curious about when he was born, so he asks his dad to tell him stories and to show him pictures from the family photo album. Caillou becomes absolutely amazed when his father tells him that he too was once a little baby before becoming a Dad. He becomes nervous when his Dad talks of him growing up, but Caillou's Dad reassured him that no matter how old Caillou grew to be, he would always be his son. Caillou became confidant in growing up and becoming a daddy, as long as he knew his Dad, would still be his Daddy.

Caillou wants to be just like his daddy. This episode highlights the loving bond between Caillou and his father. Caillou wants to dress like him, work like him, and be a daddy when he grows up. Throughout the short book, the love Caillou's father has for him is affirmed. A sweet story.

This title is a very good addition to the Caillou story library. It does a good job of explaining the son/father/grandfather generational relationship. This book could also provide the opportunity to discuss your child's early life as a baby/infant/toddler and help them to explore adult roles and relationships further. The illustrations are sweet and enjoyable.

"Caillou Loves His Daddy” is almost too sweet. It’s a good book about family for Caillou fans, but others may not appreciate it as much.

In this edition, Caillou wants to be just like Daddy, making it different than Mommy’s story.
The first page has the cute little kid asking a question that sounds a lot like the birds and bees, but luckily Dad was smarter than that. After a glimpse through the photo album he wants to dress like Dad, work like Dad, and so on. Then Grampa shows up and makes things more interesting.
This was a lot more interesting than the Mommy volume, but still not as good as those with actual stories.
3.5 pushed up to 4/5

This is a companion book to Caillou Loves His Mummy. In this story, Caillou wants to be just like his daddy. He also learns about family relationships and that his dad will always be his dad even though he is also a son. He learned that his grandfather is also his dad's father. A cute story for young children with bright, vibrant pictures to round out the book. A great addition to a family library.
