Stay With Me is a tad shorter than the other books in the series. It has the same style as the other two books which is a hit or miss for some people since all the heroes in the series are very possessive and alpha male. Personally, I liked the book even if it didn't add much to the Lazarus project progress. Shelly and John's story was good and I had a very good time reading it. I would definitely recommend it to those who don't mind a very alpha male guy and a short length book.

Another great hit in a great series by a great author. This is the 3rd installment of the Lazarus series, with a group of super soldiers who are part of a government secret group. Shelly is trying to get to her cabin, and is approached by a handsome but scary man in a bar. John doesn't have any memory except he knows her and needs to protect her. A lot of twists and turns, and snipers and chases, make a super exciting story, not to mention the hot and sexy scenes between them as well. Highly recommend this book, series and author.

Everyone knows you can't plan love. Shelly was more than suprised when John appears at her doorstep. She doesn't want these feelings for him to escalate but John has other ideas. This was a fun fast read full of exciting moments.

To appear in a "Book Feature" post on my blog in early November, focusing on books I have yet to do a full review for.

Cynthia Eden has been a favourite author for years.

Fantastic 3rd installment to the Lazarus Rising series.

We detour just a bit and meet another test subject that was in the NC Lazarus lab with Willow (who we briefly met in book 2). This story focuses on John & Shelly who sort of had a connection prior to John's death and his becoming another super soldier for Lazarus. The story does come full circle with our established group toward the last 5th of the book and we've got a great setup now for Willow's story.

This series has taken some time for me to want more, or want to read the next book. The characters are all special forces that were killed and brought back to be stronger but they don't remember who they were. But the more I've read the series the more I have begun to like the characters. The heroine, Shelly, didn't take any crap and John Smith was alpha and tried to take control of the situation but never took her choices from her, which was good to see. Cynthia Eden is a must read author for me, while some of her stories can be creepy, far fetched at times, awesome, you can guarantee you will enjoy her books.

This book begins with our heroine Shelly heading up from Miami to her family cabin in the mountains to spend Christmas alone. She's picking up the keys from a friend at his bar when a man walks in, intent on finding her. And when he does, she's surprised by the strong pull she feels for him.

John Smith has spent every waking moment since escaping the facility (government facility that recently exploded) searching for Shelly. He has no memory of anything before waking up there. No memories that is, except for Shelly. It's not just one memory either, it's a lot of them. And he knows that if he can find her, she'll be able to tell him who he is.

Shelly...doesn't know the man.

But she feels a loss as he leaves the bar. And when she goes to her car, we find out he didn't go far. But a strange man following her scares her, so when he figures out her brakes were cut, he begins shouting at her to get out of the car. She of course, floors it. Luckily he's basically a super soldier, so he chases after her, steals a truck, and saves her. While she's freaking out, someone shoots at them, and kills him. But these super soldiers don't always stay dead.

The sheriff is a good friend of hers and John and Shelly let him in on the secret. Together, they're able to find out his name is John Smith, that he used to be in the Army Special Forces, and that he was killed in Miami several months ago. Miami, where Shelly lives. This brings up a lot of questions. In the mean time, someone is trying to kill them. And the big question is who is the real target? Shelly? Or John?

This story is different from the first two in that we don't have as much time spent in the compound, nor is there the same feel of his being used as a weapon by the government that took his dead body, reanimated it for secret missions, and treats him like nothing more than a tool. There's a small glimpse of what powers he's gained, and there are hints at what happened to Willow, another super soldier who escaped the explosion.

I was glad that the previous heroes came up there to check in on him. It also brings up some big questions on what will happen in the next book, which I truly hope is not the last one. This book is like Universal Soldier meets the Bourne Identity, but better. The suspense and the action are well-done, the characters are well-written, and the book kept me on the edge of my seat. Another hit from Cynthia Eden, Stay With Me kept me glued to the pages.

The Lazarus Rising is still going strong with another great book from Cynthia Eden. John and Shelly are strong, captivating characters that readers can easily relate to and effortlessly become caught up in their romance which is full of sizzling chemistry that leaps from the pages and a roller coaster of emotional turbulence that grips readers by the heart.

Along with the suspense of the romance, the story also trips all adrenaline junkie triggers with lots of danger, thrills, surprising twists that readers don’t see coming and devastating betrayals that keeps readers on the edge of their seat and glued to the pages.

Once again, Cynthia Eden brought another book to life with vivid images that make it easy to picture the story as it unfolds and which brings the characters to vibrant life. I thoroughly enjoyed Stay With Me and I can’t wait to read Run to Me.

Wow this was an amazing read! This is the first book I've read by this author and it definitely doesn't disappoint!

Shelly decides to escape the sadness of the holidays by staying at her family's cabin wanting nothing more than to forget for a little while the recent losses of her father and brother. Unfortunately the moment she arrives trouble finds her.

John doesn't know who Shelly is or why he needs to get to her; he woke up in a lab knowing he had to find Shelly. This is where I admit I got a little nervous with this book because I typically hate sci fi type books. I'm not one for something so far fetched that it would never happen. However, the author didn't go there thankfully. What happened to John was surprisingly a very real possibility.

All John knows is that he has to protect Shelly at all costs even if neither of them know why. The book not only goes into why he felt such the need to protect her but also what he was protecting her from. And WOW is all I can say about that....I was not expecting that bomb to be dropped.

Amazing and looking forward to reading more. Dying to know more about Willow!

I really enjoy Cynthia Eden's books from time to time. She just knows how to combine romance with a suspense plot. The Lazarun Rising series actually combines romance, suspense and a little bit of paranormal as well. You may think how would that go but Cynthia Eden makes it work beautifully. Stay With Me is the third book in the series and it is more of a longer novella. All these books can be read as stand alones so you don't need to go in any order.

I have been reading the Lazarus Rising series right from the beginning. Basically there are soldiers which were enhanced by the Lazarus formula which makes them super soldiers but with that comes the risk of losing your sanity. Some have already gone over to the dark side but there are a few who remain tethered by love.

Stay With Me is the story of John and Shelley. The novella takes place over the holiday period and this is probably the most far fetched one out of the rest but somehow Cynthia Eden makes it work. John does not remember his past. All he knows in his gut is that he knows Shelley. Shelley has never met John and when he comes to find her Shelley is in danger.

I loved the chemistry between Shelley and John. They were smart and sensible. I love how Cynthia Eden's heroines are feminine and strong with their head on their shoulders. John was a good hero, protective, and he only wanted what was best for Shelley. I also loved seeing familar faces from the previous books and I can't wait for the next book to come out. If you still haven't tried out a Cynthia Eden book I would highly recommend giving the Lazarus Rising series a try.

Absolutely love this series. John was hired by Shelly's brother to keep her safe. He was killed and then someone killed John. John was experimented on and came back from being dead. True love avails.

I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book

I really liked this series and I really liked this book. I must admit I though that I had everything figured out and BOOM...something else would happen and blow my mind. Overall this book is a great read for a great price.

Stay With Me is a pulse-pounding yet sweet romance that searches the hidden depths of this amazingly thrilling series.

Book three of Cynthia Eden’s new series, Lazarus Rising takes the readers into the cold mountains of a far away cabin, where Shelly Hampton is planning on spending her holidays, alone and to recover from a family loss. But John Smith has other ideas and he intends to make sure that Shelly says, “Stay With Me” - to protect and to lover her.

Escaping from the Lazarus disaster, the only awakening thought that brings John Smith to Shelly Hampton is the intense need to protect her. Vague memories of betrayal, pain and death haunt his mind, but the innate desire for Shelly and the need to be with her is as strong as the breath he takes. With danger dogging their every move, death riding their backs, and betrayal lurking in the shadows, Shelly has to put her trust and life in John’s hands.

Impressive as always, Cynthia Eden’s plot of super enhanced soldiers, the scope of technology that can be created and used is pure genius and mind-blowing. ”Stay With Me” is another brilliant story as Cynthia Eden continues the series with John and Shelly’s story, bringing Flynn and Sawyer into the light, as they continue to keep their lives as normal as possible, amidst their search for their kind, and destroy the person responsible for the mayhem.

Not distance nor time can keep you apart from the one you love. That is so true in this epic love story of Stay With Me, the third title in Cynthia Eden’s Lazarus Rising series, for which I am calling an absolutely brilliant love story.
Shelly Hampton has known nothing but lost every since she lost the last members of her small family…her father and brother. But with the holiday’s just around the corner, the loss is felt ten folds. Until a snow-covered stranger appears claiming that he found her. Even though Shelly is sure she never met this man before in her life…she can’t help wondering why this total stranger; twice now saved her life at the cause of his own.
Who is John Smith really, he is far more than a normal man; he’s able to move faster than any person has the right to be and strong than a normal person. But, what separates John Smith from your normal human being, is his ability to die and come back to life. John Smith was one of the Lazarus test subjects, with his only memories is of a woman. Who is she, and is the memory of her is the only thing that he can remember of his life. Staying away from her isn’t an option when he comes to realize that she is the only one keeping him linked to reality.
Stay With Me, an intriguing love story that will captivate all readers.
Each novel in the Lazarus Rising series can be read as a stand-alone. However, to partake in this interesting adventure, I will highly recommend reading this series from the beginning.

Yet another story about those who were part of the Lazarus programme this time not only do we get to know new characters but it's set at Christmas so lots of lovely warm feels as well as suspense.
John is very different to other survivors we have met in this series as he has very strong memories of a woman who means the world to him. He's followed his instincts and tracked her down but the woman in question not only doesn't know him but from their first meeting it's obvious she's in serious danger !
Shelly hasn't a clue who the big buff scary guy following her is but things just keep happening when he's around. Having recently lost her brother Shelly is alone but John clearly is as lost in his own way as she is. Someone is definitely up to no good but just who can Shelly really trust?
I loved John and his strong feelings for Shelly right from the start but as you would expect from an author of this calibre there are lots of twists along the way to entertain the reader. A strong romance that leapt off the page but with an excellent plot that allows this reader to speculate about what might happen next. Plus of course it's set at Christmas so a lovely warming read on a cold night !
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair.

Sometimes you just read a book or series and know it will stay with you long after the last page and book is read. That is how I feel about Cynthia Eden’s suspense thrillers!!!

Stay With Me is the third instalment in the Lazarus series and I loved it! A handsome stranger, a woman who has faced too much, Shelly and John’s encounter is just the beginning. Both characters are stronger than they realise and with danger around the corner they will need to draw on it all. The character dynamics and well written storyline make this a great read and one I will be recommending to readers.

STAY WITH ME is a Christmas-themed novella in Cynthia Eden's Lazarus Rising series. Although there is a couple all snug together in a cozy cabin in the woods, violence erupts every so often in STAY WITH ME to dampen the warm holiday glow. STAY WITH ME melds two of my favorite movies -- THE BOURNE IDENTITY and the classic Hitchcock film SPELLBOUND. When John Smith comes face to face with Shelly Hampton, he doesn't even know his own name, but he recognizes that she is vital to him in some elemental way.

Shelly is a sympathetic heroine, and it's easy to understand why she initially finds John so unnerving. It wouldn't be believable if she unreservedly embraced John's intensity and wild claims immediately. Shock gives way to empathy for Shelly, when she begins to appreciate John's predicament of having no memories except for a visceral reaction to her. She can relate to this stranger who finds himself all alone in the world because, after the recent murder of her brother, she is too. As John and Shelly alternately dodge assassination attempts and scope out Christmas trees, they grow closer and their passion for each other increases. True to form, Cynthia Eden keeps the characters off balance and readers on their toes by using misdirection and keeping the identity of the villain a secret until the end. The motive, like the identity of the unknown assassin, remains a mystery until the last possible moment, thereby building the suspense for maximum effect.

STAY WITH ME is a spicy holiday tale served with a shot of adrenaline. The setting of a small town in the Blue Ridge Mountains makes for an idyllic spot for a romantic getaway, and a chillingly isolated hunting ground for a killer. It's great seeing cameos by characters from other books in this series. I eagerly await the next installment in Cynthia Eden's Lazarus Rising series.

A big thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I almost always love Cynthia Eden's books and this one is really good! I rate it a 4.5. This is part of a series but it reads well as a stand alone book. This has a bit of a complex plot but it's still heartwarming. Sometimes you just need to follow your heart. She's had a rough year and just wants to heal. Lived it. I think most romance readers would enjoy this book.
