I adore this series and really enjoy both the setting as well as the characters. M.L. Longworth captures the delicious Aix-En-Provence capably and these books are fun for both the food and travel lover in me as well as the mystery lover. I also particularly appreciate that her characters evolve over time, as does their relationship. This is much more than a whodunit on repeat as some series can become. Those who have loved earlier volumes in the book will enjoy this installment every bit as much- it does not disappoint!

One of the best things about this mystery series is the setting in Aix in Provence, with its lavender and grapes. Marine Bonnet and her husband, Verlaque, become involved in a case of a missing person that has been reopened. The missing person is the wife of a famous author, Valere, who moves into an old Provençal house that seems haunted. I like the interplay between Bonnet and Verlaque, and the reappearance of the Pauliks. For those who enjoy this series, as I do, I would recommend.
