First book in the new series the reader is treated to Melody and Daveen's story on how they find common ground throughout all misunderstanding and past. Enjoyed this story and characters and looking forward to book 2.

Ebook from Netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I found this to be a quick read, and, a cute story. It reads well as a stand alone-first in a series. Melody messed up and trusted the wrong guy, so paid the price by having riches and then nothing. A little different storyline. I think most romance readers will enjoy. Let me know what you think.

Enjoyed reading Daveed and Melody's love story. Melody is at her lowest with nowhere to go. Daveed impression melody is not good but after spending time together he sees a different side of her. Story about second chances in life and stereotypes. Good read

Realizing that she’s not only made a colossal mistake but a complete fool of herself, Melody goes to the only place she can think of… the man she was to marry before she ran off on this disastrous adventure of hers. She’s been dumped, disowned and left to fend for herself in a world she’s ill-equipped to handle right now. Heath is her only hope right now, and he’ll probably turn his back on her, too. But she has to try. The last person she expected to find opening Heath’s door was his friend, Daveed – a man who couldn’t possibly dislike her more than she dislikes herself right now. Yet with the opening of that door Daveed and Melody start out on an emotional journey neither one expected to take… with the other.

In every relationship, especially one in trouble it’s often easy to forget that there are two sides to any situation no matter how bad it looks from one side’s view. This is something that Daveed had to deal with as he got to know Melody, hear her side of events and discovered that he couldn’t continue his dislike of her for somewhere along the line she became far more important to him than he realized. Life is full of complications, and Daveed is about to experience those complications first hand. Now he has to make a choice for tradition or for love.

I enjoyed A Sheikh For Christmas. The thread of the ongoing troubles appears to be flowing through all the stories of the series. I happen to enjoy those threads that weave a larger picture and I’m looking forward to discovering where they lead. It’s not easy to reinvent yourself when life tosses you to the curb, but Melody has the strength and determination to do just that. Oh, she may be down but she’s far from out. Daveed is that combination of old world charm and lethal force that makes him a perfect hero for Melody. They have issues to be dealt with, but at the core is something neither expected and now cannot do without… each other.

I would recommend this one to any reader who enjoys a possible enemy to lover feel to a really good romance. Now to wait for the next story and dive further into the underlying mystery.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

I'm a sucker for a Leslie North romance book. This book however is just what the romance goddesses prescribed for me to read this holiday, it's a sweet romance, has a steady flow of pace and you have two very different people who find out that there's more to each of them beneath their assumptions. Daveed knows Mel as the girl who left his best friend Heath and took off to Tahiti with another guy. What he's not prepared for is having her stay in the same condo with him and him realizing that he took one side of the story to be true without listening to her side.
I received an arc from NetGalley an yesterday and had to dig in.

Daveed and Melody teach you that you can’t choose who you love. They both have struggles in trust and what they feel is right.

What happens when your best friends ex comes knocking at the door?

The author wrote this book with much love. You can feel the passion in her writing.

Another feel good Leslie North novel! Out with the arranged marriages and in with the ones that include hearts filled with love. "A copy of this book was supplied by Relay Publishing via NetGalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion." A book to be read with the glow of a fireplace or in the view of the twinkling Christmas Lights."

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
Melody was a total mess.
She gave up her fiancée for a fling w/ an actor.
What is she to do ?
Daveed was there for moral support + to help one of his friend to find his sister.
Never in a million years, he thought that he would be offering shelter to Melody.
Now that they are in close quarters, they don't know what to do w/ each other.
However, they cannot deny the attraction that has been growing day by day.
Will they give love another chance?
Loved the storytelling + the characters!

A Sheikh for Christmas, was wonderful. New York during the Christmas holidays was described perfectly. For a minute I worried that Daveed and Melody wouldn't be able to work out their differences. But I guess it wouldn't be a romance story if that were the case.
