This is a mind-blowingly good book, and Bob Goff is someone that I want to spend time with every week; chatting for lunch or just hanging out- and I find Dad Jokes genuinely funny so I think it would work. By the sounds of it, he's pretty happy to meet and chat and get to know everyone in the world, so if he ever heads down my way it could happen.
It's a deceptively simple book, too. Easy to read, in chapters that include anecdotes that you can read really quickly, Everybody, Always could actually solve all the world's problems if we just took the advice offered within it. But it's not dry and ponderous advice. It's liberating and joy-filled advice, that intuitively we all want to do anyway (love people, be friendly, build bridges and be like Jesus), but we let stuff get in the way. Bob Goff meets us where we are, demonstrating his own limitations, but also his own desire to do his best, and helps point us in the direction to give us the passion to do the same.
