Bad Business by Nicole Edwards is a good fit for readers looking for a lighthearted and fast-paced romance that explores the dynamic between a football player and his PR coach, with a focus on the challenges and rewards of their relationship.

I enjoyed this one from beginning to end. Both Stone, the star quarterback for the Wranglers who has come back to Texas for his last year before retiring to bring this struggling team to the top, and Savannah, the VP of PR for the team, oh and the owner's daughter were destined to be together. When their eyes met at the club after the game and even though Savannah knew who he was, he did not know her, he sought her out. Names were not exchanged but they ended up spending the night together and it was the best night either had spent in much too long. When Savannah is given the job to get closer to Jason to find out if will sign on for another year and to work the PR angle, they are introduced at the party given by her father, the owner. To say Stone is surprised to meet her would put it mildly but he is not going to let her being the boss' daughter stop him from getting closer. Mixing business with pleasure or is it the other way around until those lines are crossed so many times it is hard to keep it straight. These two were truly destined. Both down to earth and passionate about what they want, what more could you ask for.

Stone is the hot QB living his dream deciding if he is his last season in the NFL. Savannah is the PR go-to for his team and was sent to help him. Stone and Savannah hit it off and have someone they can 'real' with. Something that both have longed to have in their lives.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This book was just okay. The characters were okay but I just could not connect with them enough to like them.

When a woman wants to be with a football player for anything other than his career what will he do? One hot night, a ton of secrets make this slow burn a great read.

BAD BUSINESS - Nicole Edwards

#2 in the Bad Boys of Sports romance series

QUICK and FUN - 4 stars

Plot - 4 stars - Jason (Stone) is the veteran QB who has been hired by his hometown team to take them to the Superbowl. He's a success professionally, but now he meets Savannah and realizes that he hasn't got all he wants on a personal level and she's it for him. Since she's the team's owner's daughter, things get a little complicated.

Writing - 4 stars - Edwards caught my attention right from the first page. I loved Savannah's character right away as she kibbitzed with her friend Allison. And her instant attraction to Stone made sense since he's the tall, dark, and handsome new member of the team. Her conflicted feelings were also believable because of her job with the team as well as her father being the boss. All in all, the set-up was great.

Characters - 4.5 stars - This is where the story shone for me. Stone is definitely a hot and professional hero, and I particularly like that he's in his 30's, mature, and ready to reach out on a personal level. He's very close to his family, and that's always a big turn-on for me. Savannah is an independent "control freak" who finds herself out of control around Stone, for the first time in her life. Their insta-lust is obvious and predictable, but I found myself definitely rooting for the success of their long-term relationship.

Title - 4 stars - I guess this refers to the fact that it's probably not a good idea for the team's star athlete and the team's owner's daughter to hook up, without repercussions. Plus there's a brief mention of "bad business" referring to Stone's contract.

Cover - 4 stars - Although a fairly typical cover for this genre, I like the look of these cover models, and they pretty much represented the characters of my imagination.

Overall - 4 stars - Great book, well-written, with well-built characters and a believable plot. The format of beginning each chapter with an excerpt from an interview with Stone set the tone and refocused on the football aspect of the story. Stone's determination to work with his new team as well as his obvious talent as a team player/leader made him an admirable hero. And Savannah, a professional in her own right, was a good match for him. Their ease with each other was great, and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop. I really enjoyed following the lives of these characters and couldn't wait for the happy ending.

This sports romance will draw you in with its cute story line. Savannah is his PR but Stone is drawn to her. The problem is, her father is his boss and she is a forbidden woman for him to lust after but the heart wants what it can't have. Will he make his play and score a touch down or will he fumble the pass? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.

I didn’t particularly like Savannah or Stone. This story just kind of fell flat with me- starting with the main characters. I like to be and to laugh and connect with characters and I just never really did that with any of these.

A pretty entertaining read set in the crazy world of professional football and in my home state of Texas! The relationship between Savannah and Jason ks mature, with no unnecessary angst, and full of steam... great couple!

Bad Business is a sweet romance and a great read. You will get sucked into to Savannah and Stone's lives as the story is told in both POV's.
The writing is fantastic and the story flows seamlessly. It doesn't follow the typical romance formula, which is very refreshing.
Can be read as a standalone.

Cute story overall, just couldn't really get into enough to love it. I think it might be the trope is not my favorite but I know others will want to read it.

Enjoyed reading Jason and Savannah’s love story. There’s an instant attraction between the two when they met. Jason is starting with a new team. Savannah is the owner’s daughter. As they enter into a secret relationship that once revealed affects their career and their future. Engaging recommended read

Bad Business was a GREAT read!! I loved that there was none of the typical fall in love, break up for some reason, find each other again drama.

Nicole Edwards is going on my favorite authors list.

Bad Business is part of the Bad Boys of Sport series but can be read as a stand alone.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I can only go with 3 stars - I was really disappointed to find football errors in a book that revolves around football. The story was entertaining, the characters engaging, and the pacing was fast. Besides the football errors, I found the book poorly balanced in terms of story, character and passion. The sex scenes were plentiful, however I felt that they didnt serve to move the story along. This Nicole Edwards book just wasnt my favorite.

Nicole Edwards has done it again. Stone is the star of the football team X3 and Savannah is the PR goddess who also happens to be the team owners daughter. He doesn't know who she is when they first meet at the club and begin the back and forth that makes a relationship. Stone knows what he wants and goes after Savannah. Savannah and Stone have the perfect banter going on throughout the book. Sorry x scenes are great and need a little more kink that I am used to in other NE books. They do make the best awww moments. Nicole Edwards never fails to deliver.

There's not a lot that this author writes that I haven't liked and this was no exception. I thought it was humorous, laugh out loud at times and had heart. It left me feeling good at the end and I can't wait for the next one. The author did a splendid job at the storytelling.

5 Stars

I was pulled right into this story. They have laughs, lust, love, secrets, and forever.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Bad Reputation (Bad Boys of Sports, #1)

This is Savannah and Stone's story. Stone has it all. He is has gotten his biggest dream to come true but now everyone wants a piece of him. After one night at a club he thought he held something but when he wakes up alone he has to wonder. He wants a piece of some forbidden fruit. The daughter of his boss is a no no. But she is his PR coach. He had a taste and wants so much more. 0Savannah knows about football after all her father owns a NFL franchise. The players all want to get close to her father so she turns them down left and right but Stone is different. For one he can’t schmooze like the rest of the team. He wants close to Savannah not her father. But he’s a player and she is wondering if he’s playing her.

I recommend this book and anything by this author.

All sex, little substance!

Nicole Edwards is a new to me author. I found this book to be ok. I enjoy more character development, more relationship building, and more understanding and description on the impacts of what has occurred within the plot. This felt like a novel for the sake of sex, and although Enjoy reading sex scenes, when there is little else, I get annoyed.

Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review an ARC of this book and I am providing my honest review.
