I usually really love sport romances. Though football isn't a game I watch, nor is it one I understand, it didn't matter in this book. The story itself was good. Though it is a bit repetitive, seeing it more than once in this genre. That didn't bother me, though. I didn't care for the writing style. I couldn't connect with the characters at all and the story fell a bit short for me. There were steamy sexy moments, but even they were kind of thrown off by the lack of connection in the story.

This was a fun and entertaining read! Bad boy football player meets sweet PR girl that's actually the owners daughter. Fun banter, little romance, and a smidge of football makes for a good afternoon read!

As always, I appreciate the opportunity to review.

I have been really enjoying this series. Nicole Edwards has a way of telling a story with lots of steam. If your looking for a good sports romance this is for you.

Jason is a dedicated player who is hoping to retire after the season. I was pleasantly surprised with his character. I thought he would be very cocky and not likeable. Savannah has grown living and breathing football with her dad being the owner of the team. She doesn’t normally fall for the players but something about Jason has her interest.

These characters and their chemistry worked well. This was a fun sports romance and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Fun flirty football read! The main characters are easy to cheer for. I would definitely read more books by this author.

Nicole Edwards at her best! Bad Business is a the 2nd book in the Bad Boys of Sports series but can be read as a standalone but I feel you should read the 1st book in the series because this series is a must read and will not let you done. Its gives you everything you look for in a romance and everything Nicole is known for and more......AND Jason Stone is a Bad Boy you will LOVE!

Jason Stone may have been a player when he started his sports career but he isn’t now that his career is really going. He has seen what gold-diggers are out there and has been around too many times to know he was a true woman in his life and wants nothing to do with those fake out there. When he meets Savannah for the first time, he knows he is someone he wants to know more about for she is true and real, not fake. Savannah has grown up in the business since her father owns the Dallas Wranglers. When she realizes she has caught Jason’s eye, she isn’t sure what she thinks about that at first. Players normally don’t catch her eye but something about Jason makes her look twice and think twice as hard. She is attracted to Stone, but feels that she shouldn’t pursue a relationship with him because she’s the owner’s daughter. Let me say this is a very sexual story and has a lot of intense chemistry between the H/h. I loved the premise of the story but something about the main characters rubbed me the wrong way. I am not sure what it was but they were annoying at times. I wanted to like them but they just came off as entitled and unlikeable. I tried to overlook it but it was hard. I liked the storyline and I enjoyed the secondary characters but it was hard to connect with the characters. I enjoy Nicole Edward’s writing normally but this story did not connect with me like she normally does. Overall, this was an ok to good story so I will just rate this as an ok story and look forward to her next book.
My Rating: 3.9 stars *****

This is the 2nd in a series. I did not read the first but I don’t think I missed anything as a result. This one read like a stand alone for me. I loved Jason and Savannah. Their romance was so good. It was a really good sports romance with strong, realistic characters. I like that the story felt real and the hero/heroine felt like actual people. The author didn’t create drama and chaos just for story interest. It was just two mature people falling in love. I really enjoyed this one and plan to go back and read the first in the series.

This was another fantastic story by Nicole Edwards. I love a good sports romance and this one absolutely fits the bill. Jason Stone, aka Stone, the Quarterback of his team is out for a night of fun when he meets a woman who quickly gets into his head and under his skin. He soon learns his mystery woman from that night will be around more then he imagined. Especially since her father owns the team he plays for.
Savannah is used to football players saying they're interested in her, but really being interested in her football connections. But the moment she meets Stone, she notices how different he seems. And the more time they spend together the more she realizes this may just be the guy who's actually interested in just her.

I honestly loved Stone. He and Savannah had great chemistry and I loved how his bad boy reputation had a really mature spin on it. Nicole Edwards just did an amazing job with this leading man and he's going to be one of my top favorites in sports romance. Confident with a good head on his shoulders. Kind and respectful, especially to his mother. I'm definitely in love.

I easily lost myself in this story. It was well written with a great flow, awesome and well developed characters, and the icing on the cake was the moment when everything could have gone wrong and people could have overreacted but finally a main character handled their problem like an adult. It was a perfect reading moment.

This 5 star romance is one I very highly recommend.

Jason Stone was traded to the Dallas Wranglers NFL team as a free agent on a one year contract. Savannah Andrews is the daughters owner who is given the task of getting Stone to sign on for two more years. I loved how this women held nothing back. The banter between these two was sweet, funny, crude, and absolutely spectacular. It is what made this a five star read for me! I never knew what to expect and was pleasantly surprised at each encounter through out the book. This is the second story in this series and even better then the first (even though you don’t need to read them in order). If you are looking to read a great sports romance - don’t wait any longer and start reading this one - you won’t be disappointed.

I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book

I really liked this book, it was very good. I loved Stone and his family. I loved how Stone was at this time in his life where he knew what he wanted and was not afraid to say it.

Savannah was an interesting character because she had so many things going on in her family... all while trying to balance what was going on at work and her relationship with Stone.

Overall this book was really good. I cried and I laughed and I loved every second. I may not have read an Nicole Edwards book in the past but I will be on the look out for whatever else she has in store.

Although I wasn't entirely sure why they had to keep their relationship secret/under the radar, I otherwise enjoyed this fun and breezy sports-themed romance.

This was my first Nicole Edwards book, and I really enjoyed it. I didn't realize this was the second book in the series, but you can read it as a stand alone book. Now I want to go back and read the first book. This may be a sports story, but there wasn't anything in it that I found confusing or unclear. The chemistry is very well done and I just couldn't stop turning the pages.

3.75 ★ - Fun and Sexy Read

I don’t read very many sports romance books, but this one definitely did not let me down. Bad Business by Nicole Edwards is the second book in the Bad Boys of Sports series that can be read as a standalone. It’s fun, sexy, entertaining and swoony.

Jason Stone is the new star quarterback to the Dallas Wranglers and three time Super Bowl champion who’s planning to retire in his hometown. He’s successful, sexy, handsome and incredibly charming. He’s got an awesome career and a long list of gorgeous women who wants a piece of him. However, Jason has his eyes and heart set on the sexy bombshell PR, Savannah Andrews. Only problem – her father is his boss.

Savannah Andrews is the daughter of the Wranglers owner and has learned a thing or two about the dangers of falling for football players. She knows they’re nothing but trouble.. yet she can’t resist letting Jason Stone get close to her… dangerously close.

This book was fun to read, but after reading several chapters, I actually put it aside for a while. Not the author or book’s fault. Sometimes, I just get into weird moods and I just wasn’t feeling the story. However, once I picked it up again, I was quite surprised to find myself intrigued with the story. There were a few slow parts, but overall the pacing was great. The steamy parts were spine-tingling awesome and the light drama/conflict made the book more interesting. I would have wanted some more angst or a bit of push and pull or even some action.. but overall, it was a delightful romance story.

Savannah and Jason were wonderful characters. I enjoyed them together and loved how they were strong and amazing in their own ways. Savannah was a great lead — confident, hard-working, beautiful, and smart. Jason was pleasantly sweet and just a really great guy. I adored his relationship with his mother and thought they were just the cutest. There’s something so endearing about men who are close to their moms.

I absolutely LOVED the chemistry between Jason and Savannah. It was electrifying and wickedly HOT! Their relationship also had that forbidden love vibe which made all their interactions a bit more exciting and so fun to read.

Bad Business by Nicole Edwards is a lighthearted and playful romance story. It has charm, humor, some drama, and ridiculously steamy scenes! Definitely will be checking out the other books in the series.

Stone has it all money, fame, and ladies, but he seems a little bored of it all. He is not sure what to do with himself.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. Savannah is the VP for PR of the Dallas Wranglers. She doesn't mix business with pleasure and what she assumes is a one night stand turns out to be more than she expected.

Much like book one in this awesome sports romance, Bad Business was a great read. I loved Savannah and Stone and their chemistry was perfect. I can't wait to read more from The Bad Boys of Sports series!

Bad Business is the second book in the Bad Boys of Sports series. These are not connected books except that they are bad boys! Nicole Edwards is one of my go to writers. I just read everything she writes, no matter what. Her writing is so versatile and I always know she's going to entertain the heck out of me from start to finish! Bad Business is the bad boy football quarterback and the sexy daughter of the his boss. Jason Stone is as hot on the field as he is off. Savannah thinks he's a player, but he's so sexy she can't seem to say no. She puts up a good fight, but in the end being his PR rep pushes them together for work and that means…more alone time. Hot, sexy, sweaty alone time. But is a relationship good for his reputation? Is his attraction for Savannah worth the risk? I love me some Jason Stone! He's strong, sexy, funny and a good baller. He's not afraid to tell her and show her how he feels. I'm loving these bad boys of sports!

I've turned into some sort of hormone-driven hussy, but I can't help it. Seriously. I'm so overwhelmed.

"Ah, damn. I've been waiting to hear you say that."

Truthfully that's all that matters.
Well, besides winning the Super Bowl.

That matters, too.

Great book! Fast paced story, with a solid romance and good plot.
I read it in one afternoon.

I follow the author, and I highly recommend you do the same

jason stone has basically accomplished everything he ever dreamed of during his nfl career. but now he has a chance of bringing the lombardi trophy to his hometown. he's focused on the here and now. playing the game one day at a time, not thinking about what tomorrow will bring. because he's pretty sure that he's walking away after this season.

when savannah's father asks her to take a special interest in stone and manage his pr appearances for the team as well as encourage him to sign another contract for a couple of years, she's conflicted. it's bad business. because she's spent one incredible night in jason's arms and she can't stay away from him. but his future plans affect her too.

at least those involved with whether or not they're spending their lives together do. which takes them a long time to admit, but they are pretty much all in from the get-go. i like that when savannah admits that her father asked her to get close to him, stone doesn't fly off the handle. he acknowledges that he may have agreed to be handled for the sole purpose of spending time with her. and that whatever brought them together was worth it. because what they share is pretty spectacular.

i enjoyed this story a lot. stone is a really great lead and his chemistry with savannah is off the charts.
