This is a fun, simple sports romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The storyline will be familiar to sports romance fans – star player falls for team owner’s daughter – but the quality of Nicole Edwards’ writing makes this one special.

This is definitely romance and not erotica – and it is quite a departure from some of the author’s kinkier stories. This is a more vanilla read. It’s a playful, sweet, and easy story with characters I quickly fell in love with.

I read it on a hot beach and it makes for a perfect holiday read. This isn’t a complicated or angsty book and there isn’t much that’s especially original about it – but I loved the banter between Stone and Savannah and I loved the way they fit together pretty perfectly.

M/F Sports romance

This is a typical sports romance story. Stone is a high-profile quarterback who is helping to bring a lower team up to the Super Bowl again. He is cocky and a smart player. He lives for the game. But when Savannah catches his eye, he'll do what he can to make sure that he is what she needs.

Savannah is living in the shadow of her father. Despite her intelligence, her dad sometimes uses her for her looks rather than her degree. When she lets her hair down for a night, it seems that the connection that was made won't let go.

Savannah and Stone have to navigate a working relationship and a private relationship. It is a sweet story that follows their choices and how they navigate. For people who have read Edwards' books before, this is definitely not erotica but more of a true romance. Stone and Savannah's chemistry is still hot, but they have a more organic relationship.

Overall, this is a quick read that is not angsty or full of turmoil.

Savannah doesn't mind working for the family business, her father owns the Dallas Wranglers football team. She's just glad that she's able to be do her job mostly behind the scenes, leaving the public faces of the team to her father and brothers.

Stone has only signed a one-year contract but with the Wranglers on a winning streak and the odds of making the playoffs getting better after every win, her father wants to know what it will take to get him to sign a contract extension. The problem is, Stone isn't sure if he wants to continue to play the game. He's had a great career and the Super Bowl rings to prove it. He wouldn't mind one more to add to his collection, but he's not sure if he's willing to put his body through another few years of torture for a chance to win a couple more rings.

The more Savannah learns about Stone, the more she likes the man off the gridiron. He's smart, funny, and seems to really like her. Not just because she's the boss's daughter but maybe in spite of it.

I enjoyed reading about Stone and Savannah and the way their romance played out over the course of the book. The book took a familiar storyline (sports romance) and made it new again.

Nicole Edwards is one of my favorite authors and she has knocked it out of the park with Bad Business! Jason and Savannah are amazing together and the story line is very well written.

This is a hot, sports romance that, while second in the Bad Boys of Sports series, easily reads as a standalone. I feel like so many sports romances I've read lately read more as "New Adult" (heck, even Young Adult, in some cases) but not this one. Stone and Savannah are "real" adults that act like it instead of teenagers. Thankfully, there was no "over the top" drama – although it certainly could have gone in that direction. Savannah was smart, confident, incredibly likeable and I found her very relatable (well, except for the part about her father owning an NFL franchise). And despite being labeled as a "playboy" I didn't get the manwhore vibe from Stone's character which can be a bit expected in a sports romance these days. There is amazing chemistry between Stone and Savannah and did I mention it was HOT??

This was my first book by Edwards, but I'll definitely be searching out others.

Thanks Netgalley for a copy to read and review.

Hot cover alert! Very smutty but sexy book. I had a great time reading it. Very fluffy, fun and enjoyable. The characters Stone and Savannah had sizzling chemistry. Very hawt!
Second book in this series but stand alone. Quarterback Stone was a great book boyfriend. The first scene when he turned down the hot chick in the bar had me loving him big time. Savannah's sweet and snarky humor got a few laughs out of me but mostly it was Stone just being a bigger man. Where are the men like this at? Five excellent stars of entertainment! I loved it!

Bad Business by Nicole Edwards is the whole package: steamy romance, a good plot and humorous interactions between the main characters. The H and h meet and the story takes off! I especially love the verbal sparring and the efforts made by these characters to get the last word. The story revolves around football but is not about football. There is family drama that causes some moral dilemma but is resolved satisfactorily. Of course, there is the HEA ending.
This book is intended for adult reading.

There’s something about sports romance that makes for some the hottest reads; I’m claiming it’s the stamina our heroes tend to have. Edwards next Bad Boys of sports is filled with its moments of sexy times but it’s also a feel-good romance. With little drama and a focus on a forbidden romance that both our hero and heroine continue to fight, Bad Business was a fun read.

After a wild night with with the hottest woman Stone’s ever met, our football star is coming to terms with his future retirement. Turns out his lovely lady is his boss’s daughter. With an unclear future, an affair with Savannah could be a huge distraction. But this action man knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. His charming pursuit of Savannah is romantic and sexual all at he same time!

Savannah’s not one to break her own rules. But a night with the rumored ladies man of her father’s football team becomes an opportunity she can’t pass. Stone is charming, funny, and these two click like you wouldn’t believe. An undeniable chemistry links not only their sexy life but their ability to carry on conversation with witty and sarcastic banter. As danger of their affair is set to leak, this sports office trust leaves readers fulfilled with an age old question: is love worth everything? (P.s. it so is)

Savannah Andrews is not the kind of woman who mixes business with pleasure, especially when it comes to professional football players because she sees them as nothing but trouble, but when veteran quarterback, Jason Stone, takes over her father’s team, the Dallas Wranglers, she quickly learns that he’s not the typical cocky QB and that her first impression was way off base.

But regardless of Savannah’s attraction to Stone, crossing the line when it comes to their professional relationship is not something she wants to do, but that might be an inevitability once their paths collide, leaving them with a difficult decision to make…give in to their desire or draw a line and not allow their bodies and perhaps even their hearts to overpower their heads.

I love that this series is titled the Bad Boys of Sports because it makes readers assume that the heroes will be nothing but manwhores whose bad behavior overshadows their athletic ability, but that is so not the case with Jason Stone, because even if he has to prove himself to the woman he desperately wants, the only time he’s a player is when he’s on the football field and that’s the reason Savannah has such a difficult time staying away from him even when it could change not only the dynamics of her career but also her relationship with her father since he’s the one who signs both of their checks.

Nicole Edwards, once again, creates a steamy sports romance that is a great mix of lust and passion; it’s an insider’s look at how a professional sports team operates and it also illustrates how the determination of an athlete translates into an alpha male who will fight for the woman he wants in his bed for more than one night.

Stone and Savannah share a hot night together. What will happen when he finds out her dad owns the football team he is playing for? Fast-paced romance with great chemistry and plenty of steam. An entertaining read.

This was really good. I loved the characters and the fact that there were no silly misunderstandings, when there could have been. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series.

I really enjoyed this book! This is a first for me from this author, and I love finding someone who can keep my attention from the start. The writing flowed well, and I thought that Jason and Savannah were great together. They had great chemistry, and very little drama. I thought that it might blow up worse than it did, but I was glad that it didn't. While this centers around a football player, there isn't a whole lot of actual football, so if you're not a fan don't worry. I would have liked a little more interaction with each other's families. They both seemed like family was important, but we really don't get to see them with the other's family. All in all, this was a great story, and I hope there is more in this series!

Totally loved this sports romance!! The heat between Savannah and Stone is scorching. I also enjoyed that their relationship, though started out as a bang, took time to grow and strengthen. This was a very believable romance and great writing.

While it didn't have the what that some of Nicole Edwards books have I thoroughly enjoyed Bad Business.

The characters are sweet and vulnerable. I was definitely routing for these two to get their happy ending.

Jason Stone has won three super bowls and is on the road to his fourth after being traded to the Dallas Wranglers his hometown team, what better way to win and retire. Savannah is the owners daughter who also happens to be the executive Vice President and head of Public relations for the team. One night they see each other in the club Savannah knows who Stone is but he doesn’t know who she is. They have one crazy night together and don’t exchange names. She is all he can think of but he doesn’t think he will ever see her again until he finds himself at a party at her fathers house.

Nicole Edwards doesn’t let us down. This story is hot and steamy and draws you in from the beginning. Stone is a total alpha male, hot, sexy and sweet. Savannah is an independent women who is used to being in control but finds she likes when someone else takes control in the bedroom. The chemistry was off the charts! This is another must read from Nicole Edwards!

Two commitment phobic professionals stumble into ❤️❤️❤️!!!

In this amazing book you’ll be taken on an incredible love story. Both Stone and Savannah believe love isn’t in their future so after one night of passion they are still thinking of how amazing it was.

Surprise she’s the owners daughter and he’s the star quarterback of the football team they own. But what happens when these two people find out that time together is great and so is the steamy sex they share.

Authors Blurb:
Stone: Football is more than a game to me. It’s my calling. Becoming the Dallas Wranglers’ starting quarterback before I retire is a dream come true, but with a few wins under my belt, suddenly everyone wants a piece of me. And even though being in the spotlight has its perks—beautiful women, star treatment, more beautiful women—what really gets me sweating is the watchful gaze of my sexy-as-hell PR coach, Savannah Andrews. The catch? Her father is kind of my boss. . . .

Savannah: In my family, football is big business. When your dad owns an NFL franchise, you learn a thing or two about schmoozing, and from what I can tell, it’s not a skill in Jason Stone’s playbook. Sure, the veteran quarterback is literally larger than life. With broad shoulders, muscles on muscles, and a mouth made for kissing, he may be one of the hottest men in the league—and I should know. I’ve turned down enough players to start my own all-star team. But those guys just wanted to get close to my father. Meanwhile, Stone is getting temptingly close . . . to me.

I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks you Netgally for letting me read and review.

There was something very sweet about this book, which wasn't what I was expecting. Don't get me wrong it was hot, hot, hot. Jason and Savannah meet at nightclub and immediately they just click. She knows who he is, He's the quarterback for her father's football team. Nothing good can come from hooking up with him. Jason has 3 Superbowl wins and is looking for his 4th. He's isn't looking for a quick hookup but when he sees Savannah he is more than willing to let things happen. From the very beginning it's just easy for them to talk and tease each other. But of course things get a little tricky when Jason realizes who she is. There wasn't a lot of angst in this story.

I loved this steamy romance between a ready-to-retire NFL quarterback and the team owner's daughter, who is not the least bit awed by his stats. Savannah is a refreshing character, not just to the reader but to Jason Stone as well. He's so used to girls wanting the player and not seeing the man he is, so when Savannah makes him actually work for it he's pleasantly surprised and instantly charmed.

Stone isn't the typical player adding to a string of one-night-stands. He's been around the block enough to know what he really wants, and that motivates him to put in extra effort to convince Savannah to give their relationship a shot. I liked how the author didn't feel the need to conjure up drama just for the sake of it. Savannah and Stone's relationship feels authentic and natural, with familiar problems plucked from real life. I loved the HEA, and his decision in the end was unexpected but felt exactly right for the character. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Favorite Quote: A blush reddens her skin from her chest to her cheeks, but she doesn’t move. “I’m gonna worship you,” I tell her, kissing her jaw. “And when I’m done making you come all over my face, I plan to fuck you until neither of us can breathe.”

I like sports romance and combine that with a player getting involved with the owner’s daughter and the blurb for this book spoke to me. But when I read it, it didn’t speak quite as loudly. The chemistry between the characters was what kept me reading.

Savannah is the VP of Public Relations for the football team that is owned by her father. She’s smart and beautiful and capable. She’s out one night at a club with her friend and starts talking to Jason Stone, the new QB for her team. But he doesn’t recognize her and she doesn’t tell him who she is. She treats him like a normal person, he loves it, and they end up having a one night stand. I kind of thought we might end up with an unintended pregnancy, but we didn’t.

Jason Stone, goes by Stone is a run of mill, slightly older quarterback. He is a great player, a little cocky, but not OTT with it, a great son, and all around decent person. He’s 34 and hs decided that he wants to retire after this season. He was a decent enough hero.

Savannah’s dad is hell bent on resigning Stone to the team. Stone has been instrumental in the team’s winning season and the dad wants that to continue. So naturally he recruits Savannah to befriend Stone and “shadow” him to find out where his head is at about retirement and try to sway him to stay on longer. This happens after the one night of sex and the dad does not know that the heroine and hero have intimate knowledge of each other. Stone’s whole shtick is that he can’t trust women to like him for him so this thing with Savannah basically going to set us up for a big misunderstanding. I rolled my eyes about this. The big misunderstanding led to some conflict that was not actually conflict.

THEN at the 40% mark we are introduced to more conflict by way of a nosy, douche-bag reporter who serves absolutely zero purpose but contrived conflict that is weirdly drawn out through the rest of the book and resolved very quickly. I really dislike when that happens. If you are going to create conflict, please make it semi believable and make the characters actually deal with it.

Even though Stone is a fancy football player, they dine out at places like Chili’s and Texas Roadhouse. BTW Texas Roadhouse makes not one but two appearances in this book and neither time does the author mention the rolls. Seriously, have you had those rolls and with cinnamon butter? I don’t know how you can write a book, send your MCs to TRH and NOT mention the rolls.

I probably would have DNF’ed the book if I wasn’t in to the chemistry between the heroine and hero. That was the best part of this book. I thought they got along well and had some super sexy times. They have a nice rapport with each other. They are both competent in their jobs. They progress from one night stand, to helping each other with work stuff to sexy times and really developing feelings for each other. I believed in their love for each other, it was just the conflicts or lack thereof that really brought the story down for me. It is second in a series, I haven’t read the first one and felt like I wasn’t missing anything. There will probably be more, but I won’t rush to read them.

Bad Business by Nicole Edwards is the second book in her Bad Boys of Sports series and it was a fun and sexy sport romance.

Jason Stone is beyond excited to be the starting quarterback for the Dallas Wranglers’. Its his dream come true, but now he finds himself under the spotlight and in need of some PR skills help. He is ready for this and loves the spotlight and all it brings, but he was not ready for Savannah Andrews.

Savannah’s life has been full of football. Can’t really help it when your dad own a football team. Her job has always been PR and PR prep. And with all the football players in her life, she has learned a thing or two about keeping them at a distance. That is until Stone. Stone does not seem to want anything from her, only her.

Stone was a nice surprise as an athlete. He was sensible, smart, sexy and could be sweet. Savannah was determined to keep things professional with all the players on her dad’s team. But one look at Stone and she was a goner. As they spend more time together, they get to know each other. I loved how they interacted with each other and how light their relationship was.

I love reading sports romances and Nicole Edwards’ Bad Business fit right in. It was steamy, sexy and so much fun to read. It was not full of angst and drama, but sweet and charming.

Happy reading!

I have read almost all of Nicole Edwards’ books and this one ranks right up there with the best of them. She can write any genre, m/f, m/m, ménage. Stone and Savannah are two characters where their chemistry jumps off of the page. But Savannah doesn’t give in to football players, especially with her father owning a team. Stone isn’t likely to take no for an answer.
