I will never pass up an opportunity to read a Nicole Edwards book, especially an ARC that I get to read before the general public. Yet I went into this one with a bit of trepidation. Although I loved the last half of the first book in this series, Bad Reputation, I let it be known it was a slow starter for me. The author’s writing seemed off from her usual style and I wondered if it had to do with this series not being part of her self-published works. Well, I ended up loving this story so I had no need to worry.

The way Savannah and Stone (aka Jason) first officially meet is so fun. What I found the most appealing in that scene was, although the reader knows Savannah is more straight-laced and Stone is the wilder of the two, and the characters seem to know this fact, they really both play the opposite role. Still, there’s no question in Stone’s or the reader’s mind that Savannah is not your everyday groupie/hussy.

Stone is a swoon-worthy hero. He’s aggressive but able to compromise, he’s an alpha male but likes seeing Savannah take charge in life, and there’s nothing that means more to him than his family. He’s very protective of those around him. Best of all, he doesn’t jump to conclusions.

One of the very best things about this book would be a spoiler. Let’s just say, as an avid reader, there are so many scenarios that I predicted playing out as this story unfolded. It’s not that there’s some major plot twist, but the way the story plays out is a very pleasant surprise. I love when a hero and heroine can be adults and still be interesting.

It seems Ms. Edwards has found her groove with this series and now I’m anxiously awaiting what will come next. Oh, and one last thing. Although this is a series, this book can truly be read as a standalone. There is absolutely nothing you’ll miss out on or be confused about if you don’t read these in order. But you should still read them both because Ms. Edwards is a wonderful writer.

Savannah’s father owns an NFL franchise, the Dallas Wranglers. She along with her two brothers work in different capacities for the team. One thing she’s learned, is never get involved with a football player. Well she should have really listened to her own advice, except that Savannah is finding out there is more than football to their quarterback, Jason Stone. On a night out with a girlfriend, Savannah gets aquatinted with Jason, that ends up in his apartment. Now Jason wants more of her and not just for sex. Problem is, she’s starting to feel a lot for this man.
Jason is 34 and single by choice. It seems that the women he meets only want his wealth but not wanting to get to know the real him. Then Savannah, the PR employee for the team and daughter of the owner, makes him want something he’s never felt before. When they start this clandestine relationship, hiding from her family and the other players, Jason realizes he’s falling hard for this magnificent woman. Will it all blow up in his face or can they overcome the obstacles and have a promising future.
I loved this book, it is a must read!

What's not to love about the second book in the Bad Boys of Sports series by Nicole Edwards. Super hot football player who is brought down to his knees by the football team owner's daughter. I love seeing these cocky, arrogant men fully realizing what is important. Although by all accounts, Jason Stone is not your typical cocky guy. Gotta love a man who loves and dotes on his mom. Savannah is tasked with infiltrating his life and finding out, will he or won't he, retire. The owner want a few more years with him at the helm, but Stone refuses to see past the next game or comment on his future. But these two are steaming hot when they are within each others orbits. Will Stone be upset to learn what Savannah is really up to? Will Savannah survive the hit to her heart when the last thing she ever expected was to fall for a football player? Nicole Edwards knows how to bring steam to any situation and does it quite well in this book!

This was a funny, fast-paced sexy read. It’s not what I was expecting when I picked up this novel It is so much better.

Jason Stone is a veteran QB drafted to a new team with a losing streak. He is only focused and looking forward to winning another Super Bowl. Throughout the years, Jason has been called the “bad boy” of football. His reputation is well earned from all the women, booze and parties he has partaken of. He is 34 and a little jaded from the many years of women seeing him only as a paycheck

Savannah is a 29-year-old executive vice president and chief public relations officer. She meets Jason at a party hosed by her father. Both of them do no want to be there for different reasons.

Upon their first meeting, there is a connection, a spark. Their banter and teasing had me smirking and laughing. I enjoyed her best friend’s antics as well. He does not know who she is but she knows who he is. She has been a good-girl all her life but with him, she wants to be oh so bad. He does not intend to be sidetracked or attracted to the owner’s daughter. He is not expecting to have a one and done with her either, but he does. The only problem? He can’t stop thinking about their night together. He wants more.

This book had me turning the pages. The banter when they first meet is adorable and cute. He teases her and I was completely enjoying and loving the repartee. I loved the chemistry between Jason and Savannah. It is scorching hot. They both like control in their lives however during the intimate moments, Savannah relents and gives up all control.

I would have enjoyed a bigger look into the secondary characters like Savannah’s friend or even Savannah’s past with her mother. However, when all is said and done, this is an extremely enjoyable read.

Loved Stone and Savannah. They start out hot and heavy, but then the slow burn after that really hooked me. I loved the interview snippets at the beginning of some of the chapters. I could have used a little more angst at the end, but I still loved this book!

There’s no doubt Ms. Edwards is a great author and one of my personal favorites. I have more than enjoyed most of her books, but BAD BUSINESS lacked something I am used to in her previous books. Savannah and Stone meet at a club and their attraction is undeniable. Savannah knows their night together will change everything once the quarterback finds out she’s his bosses daughter. While I did enjoy Stone & Savannah together, their chemistry was off the charts and their banter often left me rolling on the floor, something was missing. IMO, I think it is the lack of conflict. While Savannah spends most of the book struggling with her inner turmoil over what her father has asked her to do, it’s out there one second and resolved the next. It felt like a let down after being such a large part of the story. Even saying that, it will not turn me off from the series or from reading anything else of Ms. Edwards.

This was a super hot read from a writer who knows how to write a super hot read! I really enjoy the snippets of the “Bad Boy” article that begins many of the main athlete’s (in this case Stone’s) chapters. Jason Stone is a well-rounded character in this book and I enjoyed him a lot! Savannah felt a little two-dimensional to me. The Grand Canyon sized chip on her shoulder bugged me...especially since I didn’t get the feeling she was patronized by her family (dad and brothers)...she seemed to have a decent hold on her role in the organization. Once the bs was out of the way, I liked Stone and Savannah together. They have an easy banter that is fun, flirtatious, and down right sexy! I’m looking forward to the next “Bad Boy!”

4 1/2 Stars! Jason Stone has just signed on to be the QB of his hometown NFL team. He already has 3 Super Bowl rings and is hoping to get his 4th this year ... and then he can retire. He doesn’t need any distractions ... that is until he has an amazing night with the nameless beauty from the club. Savannah knows who Stone is from the beginning as her dad owns the NFL team that Stone just signed with, but Stone has no idea who she is until he gets introduced to her at a team party. The chemistry between them is off the charts and they begin a secret affair.

Even though Stone is supposed to be the “bad Boy of football” ... he is far from it and I couldn’t help falling for him. And Savannah is so cute ... I loved the banter between her and her best friend - she is hilarious. And this book is steamy, steamy, steamy! I recommend this book for a feel-good romance!

Bad Business by Nicole Edwards was a fun sports romance. This was the first book I’ve read from this author and I can’t wait to read more!

Jason Stone has been playing pro football quarterback for 13 years and at 34, is ready to retire like his older brother, Jeremy already did. But Jeremy only has 2 Super Bowl rings and Jason wants to win his 4th. His final year, he has been picked up by his home town team the Dallas Wranglers and is guiding the fledgling team to the playoffs. Savannah is the daughter of the Wrangler's owner. She has worked hard working her way up in the organization and now runs the public relations department. They meet at a bar. She knows who he is and is not interested, but somehow their sizzling chemistry, and encouragement by her best friend Allison leads her to a one night stand. She Ubers out, before he wakes up, but he doesn't stop thinking about this mysterious woman. And then finally finds her at a party at her father's house. Her father wants her to get close to Jason to convince him to sign up for another two years. Jason agrees, because he wants to get closer to Savannah. Neither Jason and Savannah believe in marriage as Jason's father left when he was two and Savannah's mother left when she was 7. However, all their siblings are happily married. Might they have a future together? Might their parents have a future together in a future book?
While the series is called Bad Boys, Jason is not bad at all. He gives his all to his games, believes he is only part of a team and calls his mother every day. The characters are appealing, the story line unusual and the chemistry between the two main characters is sweet and hot. The dialogue is easy to read and witty and there is even a villain. A scintillating read, I was lucky to have procured an ARC from netgalley.com.

Savannah and Stone have a lot more in common than he thinks when they first meet. He is just moving on from brushing of a football bunny who wants his body and wallet in equal measure. Stone is no longer interested in one-night stands and wants more out of life. Savannah knows exactly who Stone is, but plays coy when they first meet. Stone is intrigued and they both acknowledge that they have chemistry. Savannah bolts like a spooked mare and tries to hide her identity from Stone for as long as she can (which was a bit ridiculous to be honest). Stone's reaction was not what I would have expected and so begins their push/pull.

Savannah was a complex person. She works for her father and with her brothers and is in charge of PR for their football team. Stone has been signed on as their new quarterback and is in pursuit of this 4th Superbowl ring. Savannah claims to be immune to his charms, but her body does not quite agree with her assessment. Both of them did fight their attraction, although the angst was low. I don't want to give away the story line so that is all I am going to say on that.

I did like this book and found it be a quick, easy read. Their chemistry was able to come through and did not overshadow the book. Their personalities were likable and not overdone. The sports descriptions rang true and was a nice complement to the story. Overall a good read.

I was given an ARC by NetGalley for my honest review.

Bad Business is the second volume in Edwards’ Bad Boys of Sports series, which began with the fun and lighthearted Bad Reputation. With this sexy and sort of forbidden office romance between Savannah, the Dallas Wranglers’ head of PR and daughter of said NFL franchise owner and Jason Stone, recently acquired starting quarterback, Edwards pens a flirty yet mature and sexy love story.

Jason Stone may have been a bad boy during this early years in the NFL however, experience has shown him that most women only want his fame and fortune and finds it incredibly alluring when he meets a seemingly unimpressed temptress at a club and spends the night with her wanting to see her again but not knowing if he will.

Growing up among football players, Savannah was usually immune to them but the easy banter and absolute sensual focus that came with Stone made her take a risk even knowing that he might resent the fact she didn’t reveal her identity from the get go. But they both handle their secret budding relationship with a maturity that made it that much more appealing as their pull and connection jumps out of the pages.

The story flows with ease, delivering a fun, sexy and entertaining read. I can’t wait to see what Edwards comes up with next.

Bad Business is book #2 of the Bad Boys of Sports series by Nicole Edwards. It is a standalone romantic comedy, told from both points of view with a happily ever after, no cliffhanger.

So the bad boy isn’t really a bad boy, but a really great guy. Stone is a star quarterback for Dallas. He got there with a lot of hard work and dedication to a job he has loved his whole life. So, when he sets his sights on a goal, in this case the owners daughter, Savannah, there is not much she can do to stop him. She also is a hard worker, dedicated to her job and even with the conflicting circumstances she finds herself in the chemistry between these two is to hot to deny!

Bad Business is an exceptional sports romance with a swoon worth quarterback and the woman who will change his life. It's wonderfully written and the story moves along at a nice pace. There is little angst with lots of steam making it a fun relaxing read. There is one thing I want to ask of the author! Please oh please give Allison a story!!

Jason Stone comes to the Dallas Wranglers with one goal - take the team to the super bowl. Seriously considering retirement this might be his last chance to win another championship. The owner of the Wranglers wants Jason to sign a contract extension and asks his daughter Savannah to get close to Jason and feel him out. Not sure he means the way she gets close to him!!

I highly recommend this one.

Jason Stone has just recently signed with the Dallas Wranglers' as their quarterback. Growing up in Texas, playing for the Wranglers' has always been Stone's dream and since the team hasn't been doing well the last few years, he hopes he can turn things around a be the local hero.

Ten weeks into the season and Stone has the team with an 9-1 record. After their latest win, the team heads to their local hangout. The place is packed with young, sexy girls interested in their money, but Stone is tired with these types. He wants a woman that he can have a real relationship with....and that's when he sees her up in the VIP area. Stone doesn't know that she is Savannah Andrews, the owner's daughter and the teams PR person, but he likes what he sees. Someone older, not dressed slutty and carrying herself as successful. Savannah's best friend, Allison is goading her into something with Stone. Stone and Savannah play a little cat and mouse game. He thinks she doesn't know who he is and she certainly is not about to tell him who she is! So after spending some time together talking, these two end up leaving together and having an explosive night. What neither of them expected was the chemistry that they shared. Stone wakes up to find that his mystery woman left.

Imagine Stone's surprise when he is finally introduced to Savannah by her father. Her dad really wants to sign Stone up for a longer contract and has asked Savannah to be Stone's shadow and follow him everywhere, not knowing their history. Stone is shocked but loves the idea of being with Savannah so much. Over time, these two start to realize that their feelings are stronger than just a casual fling but it is getting harder trying to keep their relationship under wraps. For two people who did not want a serious relationship, they changed their minds pretty quickly.

I just adored these two. Stone was such a great hero. Strong, sexy and he loved his momma! Savannah was strong willed but just couldn't help falling for Stone. The story these two went on to get to their happy ending was fun, sexy and so entertaining. Overall, I really loved this story!

Savannah Andrews has heard stories about the famed Jason Stone, and remained adamant that she would never fall for a guy like him... then she came face to face with him and learned for herself what the man behind the stories was all about, and she was instantly smitten. As far as the rumors of his looks and prowess in the bedroom he definitely lived up to the hype surrounding him, but he also had an unexpected softer side to him, one that apparently she was the only one lucky enough to see, other than his family. But, there was a part of her that was always hesitant to get fully invested, constantly reminding her that he wasn't a man that could handle attachments or do forever, so she made a vow to not let herself get too attached. But the more time she spent with him the harder it was to convince herself not to dream about a happily ever after...

Jason Stone lives for the game, he wakes up every morning focused on football, and his job to get his team to the big game at the end of the season, which leaves little room for distractions... namely beautiful women wanting more than he can give them. But then he meets one that sneaks past his radar and quickly makes herself right a home in his heart, and he isn't quite sure how to handle it. He has never really pictured the forever kind of thing like his brother has, for himself, it's always just been football, and doing what he loves. But after one passionate night with Savannah he knows that once isn't going to be enough to quench the undying thirst he has for her... but that means making room in his life for someone else, and he has never been down this road before... question is can he handle the challenge?

Bad Business is an intoxicating mix of naughty and nice, it has moments that you have you feeling the heat, and moments the will put the squeeze on your heart... it's downright amazing!! This first time read had me completely mesmerized from the very first paragraph, Ms. Edwards wonderfully crafted characters wandered onto the page, the playful banter ensued, they had me smiling, intrigued, and not wanting to walk away until I had devoured every last word! I am a sucker for a well written sports romance story, that comes equipped with a slightly cocky and oh so sexy alpha running the show, and I am happy to report this one had that in spades...translation I LOVED IT! Highly recommend you get your hands on this one, Mr. Stone is sure to leave you highly satisfied!!

Don't let the title of the series fool you. I've been pleasantly surprised to find that the Bad Boys of Sports are actually really good guys and I love it!

Jason Stone may have been a player in the start of his career, but he's been around the block long enough to know when a woman wants him for his money and fame. And he wants nothing to do with that. When he meets Savannah for the first time, he finds it refreshing that she isn't impressed by who he is.

Savannah has grown up in the business since her father owns the Dallas Wranglers. When she feels obligated to attend a celebration over the teams win, she catches the eye of Jason Stone. She isn't normally tempted by the players but there is just something about Jason that keeps drawing her eye.

I loved these two together. There is usually a characteristic about one or both of the MC's I don't like but I can't say that about Jason or Savannah. They were mature and treated the budding relationship in a mature manner. When Jason could have turned against Savannah for something that she had to do, he didn't. I love the fact that the author kept this interesting without taking the excess drama route.

If you love sports romance, I highly recommend this series. ARC provided by NetGalley.
