I think young readers need more books like this! Books to bring them to imaginary places but at the same time, learn how to deal with underlying bigger issues. A great addition to a classroom library and one that can spark much conversation.

This was a cute book. I think it would be best for those just beginning chapter books since it reads sort of young.

Engaging new chapter book series with dynamically sized characters and epic adventure! With humor and an engaging plot this book delivers.

There is so much to love about this book! The first is Hugo, a young Sasquatch spends most of his time living in a cave and longs to experience the freedom of life outdoors. While being taught to hide from humans, Hugo does not follow instructions and ends up laughing at Boone, a human boy who dreamt of meeting Bigfoot. This gets Hugo into trouble, but it also deepens his yearning to interact with humans.

What happens next is adorable and heartwarming. This novel deserves a place in elementary and middle school classrooms as it has a plot that will interest avid youngsters and struggling middle-school readers alike.

A rather cute, if largely expected, tale. Predictability is rather common in early readers. THese kids are still working on comprehension so stories can't be too complex. It's nice to see a little creativity, though. Having the story told from the perspective of the Sasquatch helps.

This is a nice little book about making friends that are different from oneself. i'm looking forward to where this series goes next, since it looks like the two friends will be making more friendships of the cryptozoology kind!

Big Foot, Little Foot was a fun, quick read about friendship, loneliness, taking chances and trying new things. You never know what you can accomplish until you try!
Boone is a little boy who lives alone with his Grandmother in the woods and he thinks he sees a Bigfoot one day. is a Sasquatch who just wants a friend after everyone else disowns him after being spotted by a human. He attempts friendship with a boy named Boone, but quickly offends him and isn't sure what to do. Boone and the Sasquatch quickly discover, that you never know what you can do until you try!
Kids will love this fun tale with short chapters, fun illustrations and easy to read pages.

This was a cute concept for a book and I think most kids would enjoy this.

This book starts off really slow and feels like it's all filler just so we can reach the middle-end sections.


This book hits on bullying and needing to find a friend. Siblings who don't fully get along with one another. A child being (momentarily) a disappointment to his parents.


I enjoyed it after he accidentally meets a human during the sneaking class.

Cute-ish middle grade fiction about a kid making friends with a 'squatch. Kind of meh - didn't love it but didn't hate it. I would check this out from the library for my boys when they're older, but probably not actually buy it.

Big Foot and Little Foot is a sweet story about a boy and his sasquatch friend. Hugo is a Sasquatch who is going to school to learn the sasquatch ways. I loved the premise of this, and thought it was hilarious to think about a sasquatch school and all the things they teach to their young. Really entertaining, quick read. Great for middle grade explorers.

This is a delightful story of two very different friends finding common ground. Young readers will enjoy the humor and imagination. This book would make a fun classroom read-aloud.

All of you long time readers know how I feel about Cryptozoology. For those new folks, I adore it. A story set at the Academy for Curious Squidges which educate young Sasquatch? Um, yes! It only makes sense that there would be a school and rules for hiding from humans. One day the class is outside Hugo accidentally meets a human boy and then secretly they become friends. They learn that maybe they aren't so different from one another.

I would read this book aloud all the way up to middle school age and older if they want to know more about Sasquatch. :)

Big Foot and Little Foot is a cute story for children showing the importance of not judging someone without actually getting to know them.

Hugo is a Sasquatch who has heard terrible things about humans, but when he finally has a chance to see one up close, he risks everything for that one peak. He is soon has a secret involving Boone, a child. As Hugo grows closer to Boone, the reader wonders what the rest of the Sasquatch will do if they see one of the humans they fear so much. Hugo and Boone have to work together to stop the stereotypes plaguing both sides.

Once you get to know someone, the differences don't seem as big, even if you are a Sasquatch and a human.
