It was a true delight to catch up once again with Jacobia (Jake) Tiptree and her friend Ellie. I have followed them from their first adventures when Jake moved to Eastport and being to rehab her old house. Now the house is finished and she and Ellie have opened a bakery, The Chocolate Moose, where Jake finds the body of local pest Matt Muldoon face down in a bowl of chocolate. With all signs pointing to Ellie as the culprit the intrepid duo is sleuthing and putting themselves in danger once again. In addition Jake is also dealing with her father who is recuperating from a heart attack and her missing son Sam. With lots of twists and turns in the plot and great descriptions of life in Eastport, especially during a hurricane, this is one not to be missed.
