Killian Stone (AKA Our prince) is the CEO of his familys empire. I say empire because that is exaclty what it is. His brother is a mess up and he has to hire the company that Claire (Cinderella) works for. Claire's dad is engaged to her boss (AKA Future Step mom) who has an AWFUL daughter, Margaux (AKA wicked Step Sister) who treat Claire pretty badly. The Step sister calls "dibs' on Killian buuuut he has no desire to be with her. He sees Claire and is done for.

I loved the book. It showed so much love. I would like to thank you guys for letting me read it.

No Prince Charming by Angel Payne, Victoria Blue is Book 1 in the "Secrets of Stone Book 1". This is the story of Claire Montgomery and Killian Stone. Their story has a Cinderella type theme with a modern day read. Killian wants Clair from their first meeting...Claire feels the same too. But theirs is supposed to be a working relationship and besides her step-sister has laid claim to him. Claire's step sister has even went so far as to use blackmail it seems, but Killian wants Claire.
This was an exciting and hot read. Their story will continue to another book but we do have a gentle ending to get us read for that.

Loved it. Great steamy read. Loved the dual point of views. Very well done!

A good role in the hay romance, this quick read is in line most of its genre. A plus is the descriptive sex scenes are not repetitive.

Overall I found the story to be written rather well with an unique plot.

Angel Payne is a favourite author of mine, so naturally I was eager to give this book a go. However, I did struggle to understand the lack of trust between the two main characters and their constant need for secrecy. For me personally, it just didn’t make sense.

Unfortunately, neither secret seemed worthy of the ongoing conflict between these characters throughout the entire book, and the authors attempt to drop subtle hints without actually saying anything, was substantial flaw in my opinion. That said, I would recommend this story to anyone who likes a take no prisoners Alpha male, who pursues his target without pretence or apology.

Why doesn’t ready include a contingency plan for Killian Stone?

No Prince Charming is a steamy, modern day Cinderella story, where Prince Charming is a dirty-talking alpha male and Cinderella is quick witted and sarcastic. I loved the writing, characters, and this take on a modern Cinderella. If you enjoy fairy tales and alpha men, you'll love this one!

Apparently this is a re-issue. One that I read back in 2015 according to my goodreads profile. I did not read it again. I do recall that I enjoyed the book very much.

This did not do it for me at all! Which is a shame because the blurb sounded amazing!
I couldn’t connect with the characters or the story. I never understood why Killian was so taken with Claire. They never went over that part for me so the whole relationship felt like lust instead of this deep connection.
I really wanted to like it, but I just really skimmed through it.
Overall it just wasn’t for me.
