On Hart’s Boardwalk is an On Dublin Street & Hart’s Boardwalk crossover novella about Nate & Liv from Before Jamaica Lane. They’ve been together 14 yrs., and married almost 10. They have two beautiful daughters, and a gorgeous home in Scotland. They should have the perfect life, but between being busy with kids and careers, their lives have become routine. Liv hardly recognizes her husband anymore. Where’s the attentive, affectionate man she fell in love with? Lately she feels like he’s slipping through her fingers, and is questioning if he still wants her. They still have a physical relationship, but the passion & emotional connection are gone.

Nate learns his wife is unhappy and feels he’s disconnected. Wanting to show her how important she is to him, he plans a romantic ten day anniversary trip for just the two of them to a small boardwalk town called Hartwell on the Delaware Coast. He plans to spend the time reminding Liv how much he loves her, and reigniting the fire that’s always been between them.

I really loved this book and this couple! They are so in love, & Nate is one delicious Scot! As they reconnect in this sexy novella, they are absolutely insatiable for one another. This time alone is just what their relationship needed. As they find their way back to each other they fall in love all over again.

On Hart's Boardwalk is a crossover between the author's On Dublin Street series and her Hart's Boardwalk series. It is a novella. The narrator is Olivia from Before Jamaica Lane (On Dublin Street book #3). Before reading On Hart's Boardway it is a must that you've read Before Jamaica Lane. I've also read the two books in the Hart's Boardwalk series. And while it's not mandatory to have read these first it is helpful as various characters from the two books appear in this novella.

I knew that the characters from Before Jamaica Lane were in this novella. But I thought that the characters from the Hart's Boardwalk series would be featured more prominently. Really only Bailey has a decent part in this story.

For many readers it has been years since they read Before Jamaica Lane. But I only read it this week in anticipation of this novella. This story is set 10 years or more after the book. It was interesting to see what Liv and Nate were up to. Although since I just read the main book it wasn't the same for me. I didn't miss them. It was just basically getting an extra story. They were definitely having problems in this novella, which made me sad.

Also I was really under the impression that this would be more of a crossover with the Hart's Boardwalk series, especially given the title of the book. This is really a novella to update readers on Liv and Nate, with very little update about Jessica, Bailey or the characters that we love from the Hart's Boardwalk series. I think because that is the series that I am more familiar with ... that I was a bit disappointed to not get more in this novella.

The novella is very sexy (more than was needed for me). It shows what Liv and Nate are like ten years later, which is fascinating. I did like hearing about their life now and about what all their friends were up to. If you love the On Dublin series then this will be a good novella for you.

Nate and Liv have been together for 14 years, and married for 10 of those. They have two beautiful children and Liv is just as in love with Nate now as she was when they first got together. The problem is that Nate seems to have lost his love for Liv. Since one of his friends died suddenly Nate has pushed Liv away and when Nate finds out how Liv is truly feeling he plans a trip to Delaware. At one time, Liv had told Nate of vacations taken near Hartwell, Delaware and Nate wanted to recreate that joy for her. He wanted to make his own memories, however, so he chose Hartwell. They have a great location and it’s just the two of them, but can they work through the issues that have been haunting Liv for the past six months?

This was a pretty great novella. I’ve been reading the Hart’s Boardwalk series so when I saw a novella for that series I was excited. I had no idea I’d get the wonderful double whammy by getting the On Dublin Street series cast of characters as well as Hart’s Boardwalk characters.

Nate and Liv got their HEA in the novel Before Jamaica Lane, and if you read that you know that these two are incredibly hot together. Their sex play in this book was no different but the even better than that was watching two people in love communicate and find the core issue to their problems. It was well written, and Young didn’t slack on giving us the nitty gritty of their relationship – arguments and all.

On top of the greatness of that part of the book we also got to see, as I said, all of the characters from On Dublin Street as well as Hart’s Boardwalk. I loved reading about the ODS crew and hearing a little about their families now that it’s been years since their HEA’s. HB is a newer series but it was still fun to catch up with those characters as well.

Overall I thought this was really good. The love, friendship and feeling of contentment it left me with was incredible and I definitely recommend this one.

All romance fans love a happy ever after, but what happens with the couple ten years down the road? Did they achieve everything they set out to do? Are they still madly in love, crazy about each other? How have their lives changes?

Samantha Young expands on the lives of Nate a Liv in On Hart’s Boardwalk, novella #6.7 of her On Dublin Steet series. The two protagonists made for a fun, sultry and touching read in Before Jamaica Lane, but two children, their respective careers and ten years later, impulsiveness is impossible and doubt has been creeping in. But Nate has a plan which involves traveling to the other side of the world and prove to Liv just how much he’s grown to love her over the past decade.

It’s not often readers get to see into the future of their favorite couples. Of course there are books with epilogues that serve this purpose, but they’re often short and meant to give a glimpse without overshadowing the main story. Oh Hart’s Boardwalk provides the angst over the routine and disconnect experienced by a lot of couples over time but it also gives us the new adventure the couple embarks on in order breathe new life into their relationship with a lot of swoon worthy moments along with delicious sexy times.

Young does a wonderful job of giving fans more of their favorite couple while making the story a standalone for new readers to enjoy. If you loved Nate and Liv, you’ll fall along with them all over again and if you’re a newcomer to the series, you’ll meet two wonderfully flawed yet appealing characters, be able to relate with their couple’s issues, get to see how they overcome them, and most likely want to read their entire story.

On Hart’s Boardwalk is novella #6.7 of the On Dublin Street series by Samantha Young. It is a standalone contemporary romance, with a happily ever after and epilogue.

I always enjoy revisiting my favorites, and On Hart’s Boardwalk allowed me to do just that. Crossing over everything I love about the On Dublin Street Series with Hart’s Boardwalk made me insanely happy. Nate and Liv have hit a point in their marriage where they need to dig a bit deeper, and love a little harder to save what’s important to them. A trip to a quiet seaside town is just what they both need to re-center and reconnect.

Samantha presents us with a short novella that felt like it contained the weight of the world. My heart bled for these two. I was on the edge of my seat yelling “get it together” and “don’t you know you love each other”. This was a great read for lovers of both series. We get a taste of both worlds and be warned that you will 100% want to pick up the On Dublin Street Series and start at the beginning all over again.

Anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows there is ups and downs. Young captures the essence of one of these downs between one of our favorite couples Nat and Liv. But she doesn’t only do that, she also includes a bunch of characters from both her On Dublin Street series and On Hart’s Boardwalk series…a win, win all around.

Young doesn't just hit an emotional cord, she plays a symphony with words weaving you deeper into both the On Hart's Boardwalk and On Dublin Street worlds. I flat out loved it and was amazed by everything that took place in a novella length telling.

I receive this ARC copy of On Hart's Boardwalk from Berkley Publishing Group - InterMix. This is my honest and voluntary. On Hart's Boardwalk is set for publication March 20, 2018.

Hitting 40 sucks. I am going through it. Then adding marriage and kids to it, doesn't help at all. This read was a close to home read. I thought it was going to be more fun and light. It was a little darker than I thought it would be.

I heard about Nate and Liv in their original book so I was definitely interested to see how this story would go. At first I was taken aback with Liv in the opening but decided I had to see where this story went and it was definitely not what I thought and points to Samantha for that! Being older with kids, life tends to get in the way and then you look and time has flown right by you and you realized you missed things. This story really spoke to me because I too am coming up on a birthday milestone and I can truly understand how Liv is feeling! You start to think "I am no spring chicken, my body is out of shape", and you feel insecure to a point. I felt everything that Liv was feeling, Is my husband still attracted to me like when we first met? Well , to say her husband, Nate is, is an understatement. He plans a trip for her birthday and they go back the town they both fell in love with to spark and reignite their fire! Sexy scenes and heartfelt romance you don't want to miss and The discoveries of the romance that has always been there were so perfect. I loved the story and of course loved these two characters! Great job Samantha! This is a must read!

On Hart's Boardwalk is part of the On Dublin Street series, but we think you could read it as a standalone. This short novella packs a powerful punch!

For fans of Nate and Olivia, get ready for a treat- we get to see them in all of their glory as they work through some issues that most married couples deal with! We loved this novella!

Who knew there was more goodness to come from the On Dublin Street series? I hadn't thought of this series in quite a while, so when I saw this come up on NetGalley, it tweaked a little nostalgia for me and I thought I'd give it a try.

I loved the little look back at Nate and Liv. I loved how Young didn't make everything perfect for the couple and showed that there were challenges in their marriage. I also loved how they were committed to making their marriage work and that they didn't get it exactly right immediately. What I wasn't crazy about was the infusion of the Hart's Boardwalk series. I haven't been wowed by that series and the inclusion of the setting and the characters seemed heavy-handed. There was also one section where Young had all the couples from the ODS series together and there was far too much time spent reminding the reader of the familial connections between all the people in the room. It was dizzying to read.

In all, this was a nice sexy little visit with two of my favourite characters from that series. For those who enjoyed this series and also enjoy where-are-they-now books, this would be a good one to try.

Holy crap, this novella pulled on my heartstrings. This is the story of two beloved characters from the On Dublin Street series, Olivia & Nate. Honestly, I forgot how much I missed the On Dublin Street gang right until I picked up this book and was thrown back into the world where everyone is still there and just as you remember them (though a little older).

Samantha Young has created characters that stick in your mind and make you never want to leave them. They make you smile, cry, laugh and want to scream at times. I love the character development & just the writing style is a refreshing take on the romance genre.

When you pick up a Samantha Young book, you know you're in for a treat. This is why she quickly became my favorite romance author. Her books are well written & the plot lines are always intriguing.

Hands down, this is a great novella & I cannot wait to read what she has next.

**I received this in exchange for an honest review but I'm about to preorder it on B&N because I know that I have to own it.**

I don't think I've talked about it enough, but Samantha Young's On Dublin Street is one of my all-time contemporary romance series. I have such fond memories of reading those books and discovering the OTPs that lay within. So, I was very happy to hear that she had written a novella, years into the future, featuring one of my favorite couples from the series. I loved this glimpse into Nate and Livia's relationship. They are both busy with their jobs, have two lovely daughters, and are leading a rather monotonous life. To make matters worse, Livia feels that Nate just isn't present in her life anymore as she would like. After the death of a friend, he's receded into himself, and doesn't open up to her. I'm not going to lie, it was a little hard to read about Nate and Olivia having marriage troubles, but it was also incredibly realistic. Let's face it, what marriage is ever 100% happy 24/7? So, I appreciated this look into the life after a happily ever after. Nate and Livia have to work hard to restore their marriage, and the first step towards that is going away from home to Hart's Boardwalk. This is the setting in Samantha Young's newest series, so this novella was a crossover. Besides loving reading about Nate and Livia mend their fractured marriage, I also loved meeting some of my favorite characters from that series. I particularly loved seeing Bailey and Vaughn! Anyways, this is a short novella, so I won't give everything away, but know that it's an emotional, beautiful and sexy story, just as every other book by Samantha Young.

This is an On Dublin Street novella who's purpose seems to be to introduce readers to the author's On Hart's Boardwalk series. A readable story, but a bit too much of the storyline was based on miscommunication for me. I've read and enjoyed all the books in both series.

It is also great to get more On Dublin Street although I did not like that book started with Olivia having doubts about her marriage to Nate because he seemed distant. It took a little too long for them to finally communicate. However, I enjoyed the romance and getting to revisit some of my favorite characters.

I loved Samantha Young and the whole On Dublin Street gang. This novella is about Nathan and Olivia and a bumpy patch that they've hit. It has some real raw ugly moments of self doubt but it's a beautiful story and I adored it!

This book scared me. I mean it's Nate and Olivia, I LOVE them, I didn't want anything to shake up the happily ever after I had made up for them in my head and that we had gotten from the bits and pieces we saw in other couples books. I knew that Samantha wouldn't steer us wrong but, I worried about what they would have to endure in this book. Reading the prolouge of the book didn't help, I was scared sh$#less but, I kept going knowing the reward would be great. And boy was it.

This couple is special, there is a reason why when asked most would say their book was their favorite of the series. There was just something about their friends to lovers story that just touched all of our hearts. Their connection, though stilted through most of this book, was still there shinning through the pages and making you aspire to having what they have with your own significant other.

Emotions ran high in this book and forced you to feel them all as if they were your own. The insecurity, desperation, fear, love, lust, and trust were all there out in the open ready for you to feel, consider, and appreciate. Even though Nate and Olivia's story isn't new it was like you were experiencing them coming together all over again.

My only complaint is that I need MORE. More from Nate especially. His issues in this book were the forefront of the story and while I saw what he was going through I didn't feel like I understood them as much as I needed to. I wished I could have delved into his head just a little more and truly got to experience things from his side of it.

After reading this I feel this need to revisit all of our friends on Dublin Street and am eager to learn more about our new ones on Hart’s Boardwalk.

If you've read Samantha Young's On Dublin Street series you're not going to want to miss On Hart's Boardwalk. In it, Nate and Liv have been together 13 years, celebrated 10 years of marriage, have two adorable daughters, and are in a marriage plateau. I've been married 12 years and have three children of similar age and let me tell you, parts of this were painfully relatable. Being married to someone you're completely head over heals in love with doesn't mean it doesn't have it's challenges. On Hart's Boardwalk faces those challenges head on in a sweet, sexy, Nate and Liv way. You'll be glad you picked this one up.

"I wanted him to be beyond all reasoning and take me how he wanted to take me. No thought. No care. Just fuck me like he couldn't breathe another second in this world if he didn't."

"I can't lose you, babe. You'd take my soul with you."

More On Dublin Street? Sign me up, please! On Dublin Street is one of those series that I can never get enough of and will never, ever tire of. So, when I heard that Nate and Liv were getting a novella, I couldn't wait to dive into it.

Nate and Liv have the life they've always dreamed of: perfect family, loving marriage and busy jobs. But, somewhere along the way, these two started to drift. The idea of being disconnected terrifies Liv and makes her doubts. So, when Nate surprises Liv with a romantic anniversary getaway, this might just be what these two needed to reignite their fires...

On Hart's Boardwalk was a quick and easy read for me. Since it is a novella, I had no problem devouring it in just a few short hours. From the moment I picked this book up and started reading, it felt as though no time had passed. I easily fell into Nate and Liv's story. One of the things that I really loved about Nate and Liv was how easy they were to relate to. The problems and fears were real and are close to what a lot of couples go through. Romance isn't always hearts and flowers. There will be tough times, and I for one really enjoyed seeing how Nate and Liv would tackle the heard times.

On Hart's Boardwalk was well written and entertaining. I loved how it mixed the On Dublin Street Series with the Hart's Boardwalk one. I thought that the two blended very well together and I enjoyed visiting with the characters form Hart's Boardwalk.

On Hart's Boardwalk might be a quick read, but I promise you, Samantha Young does not disappoint. In this novella, she has managed to give us a heartfelt and realistic story that is filled with heart, love, angst and fight. It hit all the marks for me and left me begging for more. On Hart's Boardwalk is a wonderful quick read to spend the afternoon getting swept away in.

I don't even know where to begin with this novella. Samantha Young shocked the hell out of me with On Hart's Boardwalk, my chin was on the floor, literally, from the very first page. For fans of Liv and Nate, my all-time favorite Samantha Young couple, you're in for a deliciously romantic treat with this short story. But brace yourselves because On Hart's Boardwalk will carve your heart into broken little pieces before piecing it back together once more.

This novella is intense. I started reading it late at night and that was a mistake. I couldn't sleep. I woke up desperate to dive back in and finish it. It literally felt, at first, like claws reached out from the page and squeezed my heart. It hurt SO DAMN BAD. I couldn't even believe what I was reading at times. Other times, I couldn't shake the smile off my face. I caught myself giggling. I caught myself wiping away tears. I had to fan myself because of how steamy it was, the sexual tension a delicious slow burn for much of this short story. And I found myself in awe, that after all this time, Samantha Young could still pull me right back into the world of Nate and Liv and remind me of exactly why they're my favorite couple.

For fans of the Hart's Boardwalk and the On Dublin Street series, you're truly in for a double treat as Young creates an adorably sweet marriage between both series, bringing Nate and Liv to the quaint ocean town where they meet new friends as they try to bridge a gap that's formed between them. Whether you're familiar with these characters or not, your heart will soar. And it will ache. I'm not typically a fan of novellas but this one was just everything to me. It was not only a much needed reunion with two beloved characters, it was an all too authentic look at the ups and downs of a marriage. I know a lot of readers hate it when authors mess with a character's HEA, but this novella was perfection, in my opinion, an honest depiction of the phases of a marriage and it struck a deep chord within me as I read. It's beautiful and brutal and I both loved and loathed all I was made to feel on these pages. It was just perfect and I can't help but think that Samantha Young is at her absolute best when she delivers such heavy, intense, complicated love stories between her characters. I love light and sweet every now and again but THIS, this absolutely heart wrenching type of story is what I love most.
