I enjoyed this quick read and linked story to Jillian and Avery’s story. Jillian’s partner Suzanna has had bad luck in love and her neighbor Jake - out of the military and not looking to settle in town let alone in a relationship - isn’t a good bet but they do have great chemistry. They start with friendship and his interest in staying in Marietta and with her grows. A fake romance to keep her family off her back during Christmas (and to stop his buddy from trying to set him up) turns real even as he continues to deny it. The truth of course comes out. My only criticism is that I think the end tied up too quickly and too neatly.

This was a sweet book. I liked all the characters and the flow was right on. Glad I read it for my Christmas break.

Suzanna and Jake's romance set in Marietta, Montana. As typical here, both have issues to overcome and solve before the HEA. Overall, I enjoyed it, as I have many set in this little mountain town, but not my favorite. Felt it could have been a bit more in depth on the issues, and I wish there would have been more with the dog Rufus and the cat Pixie. Still, even with my minor problems with the story, I enjoyed it and wanted to see the HEA. Would still highly recommend.

This is a laugh out loud Marietta festive romance, one in which a neighbourly helping hand leads to a pretend romance with the potential to become real!

Suzanna Simms hasn’t told her parents that her latest romance ended months ago but now they’re returning to Marietta for the festive season so she’ll have to be honest with them - or will she? When Suzanna’s mother arrives early and meets Suzanna’s neighbour, Sergeant Jake Hamilton, she assumes he’s Suzanna’s boyfriend - and Jake doesn’t correct her! This leads to family festive events and a life-changing kiss under the mistletoe for this couple where reality may be far too hot to be pretend!

This is a heart-warming, festive romance - complete with a cat and a dog to help move things along. If you’re looking for a fun, festive romance, look no further - this one is delightful!

I requested and received a copy of this novel, via NetGalley. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.

A soldier, a dog and a cynic set out to steal your heart and tickle your funny bone. What it lacks in originality, A Mistletoe Kiss makes up for in heart. The humor is all encompassing and the romance leaves a nostalgic feeling in the soul.

A Mistletoe Kiss by Jennifer Faye, book two in the Tangled Charms series. The story between Suzanna who gives up love and Sergeant Jake Hamilton who moves next door to her. He doesn't want anything permanent and has his own issues. I enjoyed the storyline and dialogue between these two plus the added bonus of their pets Pixie (the cat) and Rufus (the dog). A fun and heart-warming story. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series and more by Jennifer Faye.

Once again Ms Faye gives us a romance that is not only sweet, but also touching, heartfelt and entertaining.
Suzanne Simms has been jilted and dumped twice and she has decided this year she is not going to do much celebrating for Christmas, especially since her parents are no longer living in town. She has also decided not to get involved with anyone , at least for a long time. Sergeant Jake Hamilton, her new neighbor, has no interest in falling in love. either. He feels he hasn’t really felt love in his live. They meet when he rescues her cat, and forge a friendship.
When Suzanne’s parents decide to return to town, she’s in a bind. She has yet to tell them her last boyfriend left her . Jake comes to her rescue and proposes he become her pretend boyfriend. Somehow, the attraction grows and both deal with it differently as things get complicated. Especially since her family really likes him.
Besides the plot that is entertaining and touching, there is more to the story. It’s about trust, overcoming fears, and finding someone who will love you as you are. The author also reminds us that many returning troops suffer from PTSD, as well as the fact that our experiences as a child will affect us as adults. Last but not least, that Christmas is magical, a time for new beginnings and a time to spend with family and friends.
I was gifted this copy by Netgalley and Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

This was such a fun story. Suzanna Simms has given up on love. But, when she finds out her family is coming to town for Christmas, she is in a panic as to what to so. She doesn’t want her family pitying her after another breakup. Everyone in Marietta remembers when Suzanna was dumped on her wedding day.

Sergeant Jake Hamilton is in Marietta to help out on of his friends after he is discharged from the army because of an injury. He is staying in the rental next to Suzanna and they become friends pretty quick. So, when Suzanna’s parents show up early for Christmas and assume he is her new boyfriend, Jake plays along. Things soon get out of control and they find themselves with feelings neither of them expected. But, Suzanna worries as Jake mentioned after Christmas, he would be leaving town. Should she really get involved with someone who is going to be moving on so soon?

I really enjoyed this book. There is so much more to the story than just romance. There is family fun, learning to trust in love again and Suzanna’s fear of dogs. Jake has a Saint Bernard named Rufus and Suzanna is terrified of him at first, but eventually learns to trust him. I could relate to this part because I also have a fear of dogs after being bit on the face when I was a little kid. And ironically, it was a Saint Bernard. I think Rufus and Suzanna’s cat Pixie made for fun reading with their silly antics. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good clean romantic comedy.

Sergeant Jake Hamilton is looking to be low key, after getting out of the service. He settles in small town American to work construction with his buddy. His next door neighbor is Suzanna Simms . She is afraid of dogs, he owns a GIANT dog named Rufus.

You know the saying..... opposites attract!

I enjoyed ready this amazing love story, A Mistletoe Kiss by Jennifer Faye, book two in her Tangled Charms series. I remember being at the point where I gave up on finding on Mr. Right because of running into too many Mr. Wrongs. It was shortly after that when I met the guy who became my husband. This is what happens to Suzanna Simms, co-owner of Tangled Charms when she runs into her new next door neighbor Sergeant Jake Hamilton. Suzanna was doing fine until she learned all of her family was returning to Marietta to celebrate Christmas. Suzanna’s family mistakenly assumes that Jake’s her new boyfriend, which he agrees to pretend to do. Jake never thought he would fall in love, but when he finds Suzanna’s kisses are sweeter than the cookies she bakes for him, he knows he’s in trouble. This Christmas charade gives these two a chance to discover more about themselves and the love they both desire.

I really enjoyed this sweet love story and had trouble putting this book down, reading this book in one day. Jennifer wrote a wonderful story that drew me in, making me forget the world around me and not let me go until I turned the last page. I highly recommend this book to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Suzanna is so over love gone wrong – for her that she hasn’t even mentioned that her latest boyfriend had taken a hike without a goodbye to her parents. Her mother might still have the idea that all is well in love-land for Suzanna but that is far from reality, and she’s just not ready for another ‘pity poor Suzanna party’. So when her mother shows up at her apartment unexpectedly, and sees Suzanna’s sexy next door neighbor standing way too close, well can’t really blame mom for getting the wrong idea. An awkward situation sure, but did Jake really have to step in to save her by claiming to be her new boyfriend? And was it a even crazier idea to continue this pretend relationship throughout the holidays with her entire family? Probably. But they were in it now and they’d have to wing it and cross fingers from here until after Christmas. But what if pretend becomes something more?

A Mistletoe Kiss is a fun pretend boyfriend romance that will charm your heart quite easily. Jake is a loner and doesn’t stay in one place for long. His childhood, his military history, just life in general seems to work out that Jake is alone except for his big goofy dog Rufus. He doesn’t feel he’s cut out for the forever kind of thing but Suzanna’s changing his mind. Suzanna’s been dumped at the alter, left without a goodbye and ready to just step away from the romance scene. That spark is there with Jake, but they both know this is only pretend, right? I had such a good time with this story. Realistic characters, a solid story and that touch of Christmas magic make this a story that I’d happily recommend to any Romance reader.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

A Mistletoe Kiss is the second book in the Tangled Charms series. When Suzanna's family returns to Marietta, she realizes she is going to have to admit that she once again failed at finding love. But they meet Jake, her new and temporary next door neighbor, and mistakenly assume he is her boyfriend. Jake figures he can go along with it, and when they are caught under the mistletoe, the sparks fly. Will Suzanna and Jake's secret be discovered? Will they find true love? I really liked this story. It has that good-feel that you want in a great romance. I definitely recommend it.

"Received an Advance Reader Copy in exchange for a fair review"
I loved this story, read it in one setting. The writing style is superb, filled with humor and warmth, both main characters are charmingly flawed, the dialogue is excellent. I found myself laughing several times. Really enjoyable.
Jake is a great hero, a bit scarred by his past, a loner because of life circumstances, but not too much tortured. A bit guarded, but very tender. His traits as a former Ranger, recently medically discharged, and an artist, are wonderfully blended in a well-rounded character. His relationship with his dog, Rufus, is something hilarious and heartwarming to read.
Suzanna is a great heroine too, a woman with some emotional baggage and a sweet furbaby, Pixie. Her fear from dogs was so realistic.
The small town feeling at his best (and worst) and what a wonderful depiction of caring and meddling people in a story with a great Christmassy mood.
