I love true stories that give encouragement to children (or adults) to persevere and not give up. This is an uplifting story about a boy and his dog, with the boy supporting the dog rather than the opposite as is true in most stories.

This book brought me to tears. I am such an animal person and my dog means so much to me. I cannot imagine the strength of this little boy. He was so strong for his fuzzy best friend. I highly recommend this one.

This is an interesting story of a dog that didn’t give up. Grizzly was a large dog that got wobblers disease. He was paralyzed and and to learn to walk again. It’s a real life story of a family and a dog that fought hard for a running and playing friend. I love the sentiment in the story, but it is long and drawn out. It reads like a six year wrote it. However, the reader wants to know what happens in the end so they will keep reading. I love that they include pictures of the real Grizzly at the end.

I was not expecting such a heartbreaking story. I’m glad that Grizzy ended up with this particular family. I appreciated the happy ending, but the e-galley was tough to read. Overall, it was an ok book.
