Finding the perfect match is not easy for a lot of people. This is something Sophia has been having a great deal of problems with as well.  But why? Has she been looking in the wrong places or has she been focussing on the wrong things?

Of course you are always rating the looks of the person in front of you first and when there is not that zing straight away you often discard him/her almost as soon as you lay eyes on them.

Is this the right approach? Or you better off with a beautiful empty box or with a more plain looking one filled with heaps of things you dream of but you don't take the time to unpack? They say 'Don't judge a book by it's cover'. I think this does apply to more matters than books alone.

This story is about learning about yourself and changing your views on your future. It's romantic, funny and a bit sad at the same time. The author has a lovely writing style that makes you fly through the story.

I really loved it and I am looking forward to read more books by this wonderful author. 5 stars.

Thank you, Zoe May and RachelsRandomResources.

This is so much more than your average rom-com. It truly has a heartwarming tale of life in amongst the pages. Sophia is on around 10 dating sites. To date , to coin a phrase she has had geeks, misfits and anything but what she is looking for and she really isn’t that fussy.just normal would be good. Her last date wasa “noodle nerd” who bored her to tears over a meal, of , you guessed it noodles. Her friend Kate suggests that she join another site- Dream dates, so for a laugh she put on a ridiculous profile for what she is asking. When the dream man actually appears Sophia is a little suspicious but has the time of her life. Not only does he look like Robert Pattinson but is a multi millionaire as well. Both of these qualities were on her profile of must haves albeit tongue in cheek. She keeps seeing things about scammers and catfish being around on dating sites and does wonder if Daniel has a hidden agenda. He lives in the Shard. She is soooo impressed and he treats her well and other than buying some rather sexy lingerie and short skirts which unsettle her a little, he appears to be a normal red blooded male. I loved this and winced and smiled at some of the things Sophia went through. Her kind and generous heart and eventually seeing the light (I won’t spoil anything ) along with her friendship of Lyn and Tom. A book that made me reflect a little. A book that perhaps makes you realise life is for living and not saving your best for a rainy day. A fun read, a memorable read. One to make you smile.

You know they say 'be careful what you wish for'? Sophia isn't at all careful, but she does apparently get her wish.

This story is funny, yet quite profound in the end, and the message it carries is relatable. I surged ahead with the book, and although I got the ending I expected (it's romance, so of course I did) there were a few things which happened along the way that I didn't anticipate. I really enjoyed sharing Sophia's journey with her and loved the way her character grew and developed throughout the book. Ms May's writing style is lively and quick, and a pleasure to read.

Hysterically funny story of a woman trying to find the "perfect" guy as she thinks of him. Especially after disastrous dates with guys who were not "the one". Definitely thinking this should be a Lifetime or Hallmark RomCom movie! I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I had never heard of Zoe May but the blurb of this book was too cute and too intriguing for me to not pick it up. And I'm very glad that I did because this was such a fun and engaging story to read. This is the perfect book if you want something light and entertaining.

This was a very funny read which had me desperate to keep reading. A great read for ladies looking to lose themselves for a few hours in a book.

DNF.

This main character and beginning was just a little too silly for me. It didn't feel like she was actually 28.

This is an absolute GEM for anybody who loves a good Chick-Lit!

I could not put this book down and found Zoe's writing so authentic and warm.

Sophia Jones is unlucky in love but as lucky may have it, she may just have finally found her perfect match!

Sophia is a wonderful protagonist and had me laughing out loud multiple times throughout the novel.

Not only is it full of fun and laugh out loud moments, it is also incredibly moving.

It's everything I look for in a chick-lit and more!! I couldn't recommend enough!

Reading books like this one always help to give me a break from the more serious books I read and they are so refreshing.
I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review and I’m so glad I did.
This was a light romantic comedy geared towards modern online dating. Some of those dating one liners were hilarious and so relatable. I really enjoyed Sophia’s character and you get to see her evolve over time and really mature. Her entourage of friends and dates stole the show, especially the ferret guy. References to him always made me chuckle.
Nice, refreshing little romantic comedy that one can easily breeze through in no time. I’d recommend and would read more from this author

I enjoyed this book, didn't take me long to read with laugh out loud moments. I was weary of Daniel and his intentions, I did wonder if he was doing it for a dare or something but felt sorry for Sophia when he didn't want to know about her life and where she lived. I was surprised Sophia and Chris ended up together and I loved Sandra's character with her hamster! I'd look out for Zoe's next book. Thank you for letting me read and review this book, would recommend it.

Hi Readers,

I’ve just finished another contemporary book called Perfect Match by Zoe May, and I enjoyed it.

3 Stars!

The story follows Sophia, who lives with her best friend Kate. At the beginning of the book, Kate sets Sophia up on a dating website with a fake profile, because she can’t seem to find a date who’s worth it. Sophia has had 71 dates, all of which haven’t worked out for one reason or another. She gets a lot of responses to the fake profile but one sticks out, among the rest. The response is from a guy called Daniel. Sophia thinks she’s found her “perfect match” but has she? You’ll have to read to find out!

I would say it’s more for over 18 year olds as there are a couple of sex scenes and some bad language involved.

I’m not including a spoiler section (apart from the brief summary, I’ve given above) because at the beginning of the arc it says that I’m not allowed to reproduce, transmit or store any information from it.

What did I like about “Perfect Match”?

I liked the characters. Sophia seemed very human, as did Daniel.

I liked how the novel is a standalone - I know, shocker! It just seemed to wrap up nicely, 🙂.

What didn’t I like about “Perfect Match”?

I didn’t think “Perfect Match” was “a laugh out loud, romantic comedy” as it claimed to be at the start. I don’t think I laughed, once. It was entertaining but not funny.

The novel dragged in a few places. I thought some of the scenes could have been made a lot shorter.

I thought it was kind of predictable what happens at the end.

Overall, I didn’t hate “Perfect Match” but I didn’t love it either. It was a light hearted story that I found entertaining, rather than groundbreaking. That’s why I’m giving it a 3 star rating!

This is a great romantic comedy about the dating trouble in today's world. Sophie has been on so many dates an all of them are fail. She has researched all the "right ways" to write an online dating profile but no one can live up to her expectations. She decides to throw all of her research out the window and sarcastically list the characteristics of her dream man. What will she do when she meets her Perfect Match. Will it be everything she hoped for?

I really enjoyed this book. It reminded me on my favorite author Sophie Kinsella and reminded me of the book The Rosie Project as they both are searching for the perfect person and learning what is really important in a relationship.

I highly recommend this book.

Perfect Match was a quick, light-hearted read. I enjoyed it and would read another book by the author.

The main character, Sophia, was very entertaining as she scoured the internet dating sites for her Mr. Right. Needless to say, it didn't go so smoothly. I found the story to flow well and it definitely kept my interest.

The premise of the book sounded really great, but for some reason, the book didn't grab me. I had to start at the beginning several times because I couldn't really get into it. Maybe this just wasn't for me, but it could be great for someone else.

Perfect Match by Zoe May is a funny rom/com about online dating. Sophia Jones is tired of dating losers, so for the online dating service she put in that she wants a millionaire who looks like Robert Pattinson (really ??? yuck) and a few other criteria. When she gets a response and it seems all true, the fun begins, but how will it end? This book made me laugh out loud, it was funny, but also very refreshing and a quick read. If you love fun British romantic comedies give this book a try.

I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I thought that the message behind this story was great! It shouldn't matter what a person looks like or what they can give you when you are trying to find a lasting relationship. Sometimes you can write someone off because of these qualities not being met or maybe they didn't give a great first impression because they are nervous. I think that sometimes it is important to take a second look because that person could possibly be a great match for you.

Anyway...I had a hard time getting through this book regardless of the message because of one main reason. I could not connect with Sophia nor did I want to. She was so shallow! She only seemed to care about a person's bank account and their appearance. When she begins talking about her perfect man during the beginning of the book, I wanted to scream. Frankly, I think that she and another one of the characters in the book deserve each other because neither of them truly care about what matters within a relationship which is love. If she would gave been more likable, I think that the book would have been better. The saving grace of this book is Chris! I loved how down to earth and kind he was. I also happen to have a thing for nerdy guys so I found it endearing that he played with figures that he painted himself. I will say that this book gets points for originality because there were some dating preferences and pitfalls that I had never heard of before that took place in this book.

5☆ Charming Rom Com

I thoroughly enjoyed Perfect Match,
It was so nice to see a Rom Com that is current. Uses internet dating, it was cheeky, fun, plenty of laugh out loud moments.

Sophia has had a very disastrous dating history, she's been on 71 dates through the use of Internet but just no luck!

That is until best friend Kate signs her up for the newest one Dream Date!
On a drunken night in the girls get started at making up a profile, but this time Sophia decides she's going to write her profile like an add of what she wants her 'Perfect Match' to be like.
She leaves nothing to chance and things get a lil naughty as she adds in penis size!
You can only imagine what is going to come back from that reference lol

But what she does get is Daniel, filthy rich and ticks ALL the right boxs!

Daniel sweeps her off her feet, but for me something don't feel right... he comes across as Fifty shades of grey without the kinky stuff lol
He comes across as a lil possessive, controlling, rude, obnoxious, but yet he worships Sophia.
What could go wrong.

I can't say anymore as this really is a rags to riches/ cinderella story that has a delicious twist that I kind of see coming but I loved it's predictability.

I liked Sophia, she sometimes came across as a lil needy, but she was in love and loved the high life.
I did admire her sticking up for herself when it came to her friends though.

The perfect Match was fun, fresh, kept me laughing out loud, I was swept along with Sophia and her romance. It was charming and delightful.
There are some quirky characters which just added to the charm of the story.

I Would definetly recommend the Perfect Match, it's the perfect book to cheer you up and make you believe in the magic of finding the perfect match... after all they say there is someone out there for everyone!
