Another book I failed to read and review when I first got the book years ago as a digital review copy from NetGalley. Disclaimer right here in the beginning - thanks to NetGalley for that original digital review copy that long since expired.
To be honest, this review is another attempt to clear my NetGalley backlog. But I am glad to have picked up this book in the first place - this attempt made me get the book from our local library and check it out. While I am yet to try the recipes, here are my thoughts on having read it.
The book is well organized, totally cool variety of delicious looking and sounding recipes to whip up and have our home smelling wonderfully 'baky' (am pretty sure that is not a word). While on the one hand, I would have loved more photographs, I think on the other side, there are enough - each one is so drool worthy that hunger strikes each time I look through the book!
The instructions are straight-forward, easy to understand for the novice baker; and the recipes refreshingly cool for any experienced baker. The tips, tricks, and twists offered for the recipe make a wonderful addition to each one; and overall to the book itself.
And I love that it is not just desserts. With savory treats, breakfast specials, breads, pies, tarts, souffles, cakes, and more, this book is a treat indeed....
While I am not a novice at baking, there is a lot I have to try yet and I do not consider myself good yet; but I am guessing I will have my little (well, not so little anymore) girl get there - to the coolly good baker level - sooner than me!
With summer vacay soon upon us, I think I am going to find myself in the kitchen baking up a frenzy with a few of these recipes with my baking-loving darling teen.
A sticky-gooey thumbs up!

I read this book long ago and I did not realize that I had not submitted my review for this book. My apologies for the confusion - I appreciate you understanding.
