I desperately tried to get into this book and I just couldn't do it. It bored me, to the point where I didn't finish it. I tried it 4 or 5 different times and just couldn't do it.

Liars drew me in from the time I laid eyes on the cover. It’s flawless. The book is no different, it drew me into the story, and I just could not stop reading it. The writing was so great, everything flowed together really well. Definitely recommend!

Jenny’s mother is found dead in the snow and she feels guilty for leaving her alone. She then gets involved with a new man despite what her best friend Freddie thinks about him. I found the beginning of this book really slow and was on the point of giving up when suddenly it sprang to life and I went from hating it to loving it and from that point couldn’t put it down! What a set of characters, with secrets, lies, obsessions - a story like a hairpin bend, twisting this way and then that - fantastic!

Oh I enjoyed this one! The characters are all damaged in different ways and some parts of the book, when their pasts are revealed, are really quite sad. It is really hard to review this book without giving away any spoilers, all I will say is that there are some twisted and nasty pieces of work involved! You are never quite sure who is telling the truth and who is twisting the situation to their own advantage. Plenty of shocks and I can honestly say I could not have predicted the ending!

I didn't enjoy this book - found it confusing and dragged along. I gave up about 1/3rd way through

3 stars.

Having a hard time rating this. On one hand, 50% of it was 4 stars, it was very good and I kept wanting to read more and more. But there was then the other 50%. Mainly the back story of what had happened in the past. It was 2 stars. I was rather bored with that and skimmed most of it. I took in the main parts but I didnt really enjoy it. So I settled on this still being a good book which is why it's 3 stars. 3 stars from me isn't bad, it's a positive as I could not disregard how much I had enjoyed half of it. The story does do well with keeping you guessing. It seems that no one is really to be trusted. I did enjoy the characters. I thought they each had strong roles and all brought alot to the book. Would I recommend this? I think I would but I'd tell people to keep an open mind, that it was good but not amazing. I would give this author another go though with anything else she writes. It's clear she is a good storyteller.

This one really dragged for me. I felt this book could of been condensed a little to keep the reader intrigued more. The writing was not bad, nor were the characters awful in the sense that they played a pivotal role to the book i just felt like i sensed the ending early on and then it went ON forever. Overall a decent book that keeps you guessing only if you could get through it all.

liars by Frances vick.
He loves you. He’d do anything for you. But you don’t even know him.
Jenny hasn’t had an easy life – no job and no money, with a sick mother and an abusive ex-stepfather. Not that anybody cares, she’s from the wrong side of town.
David has taken care of Jenny ever since they were at school together. He knows how special she is, how much she needs his support. David has a lot of love to give.
Jenny and David aren’t in a relationship. They aren’t even friends.
Jenny thinks she’s free to do what she wants, see who she likes. What does David think? Well, you’ll have to find out.
a fantastic read. this was a twister of a read. and a shocker too. omg. Jenny I loved her then I didn't I certainly didn't like David. Freddie was lovely. 5*. highly recommended.

This book was crazy and fascinating to read. I feel like it started out a bit slow as the main characters were introduced, but it quickly pulled me in and then — just wow. Halfway through the book your whole perspective changes, and it gets even better. It kept me on my toes, and is a book that I will randomly find myself thinking about days after I finished it. A solid psychological thriller, for sure!

Wow, just WOW. I have never come across a novel that takes lies, deception, stalking and obsession to such levels and follow through with a smashing ending! This psychological thriller has everything you need for a real page turner.

Jenny has not had an easy life, between her drunken mother and an abusive ex- stepfather Jenny has never had anyone to count on. David comes to Jenny's rescue, but little does she know he has been obsessed with her since high school. Jenny thinks he is simply perfect, but all is not what it seems. His fractured psyche is beyond damaged. He becomes obsessive, manipulative and extremely jealous of anyone in Jenny's world. Jenny doesn't see any of this but her best friend Freddie sure does! But what does this mean for Jenny and Freddie? Guess you will need to read it to find out!

This wonderful thriller is filled with so many twists and turns that you can't help but keep reading! It's fast pace keeps you hanging on a wire until the final twist! I am looking forward to reading more by this talented author. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for my ARC for a fair and honest review.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. It had twists and turns I did not see coming, and I recommend to anyone that likes a good thriller.

This book was such a rollercoaster and I mean it in the best way possible. What I thought I knew always turned out to be wrong. Every time. The characters were well developed and very creepy, all in their own special ways. The author did a great job describing the various settings in exactly the right way. Not too much description, but not too little where I was stretching my brain to create a picture in my mind.

This was such a good book, it moved quickly and was hard to put down. I usually don’t like stories written with 3 different narrators but like I said before this flowed easily and I didn’t feel the need to reread to see who was talking. Great book

This is one of the best pscychological thrillers I have read in ages and never was a title more perfect for a book but omg it is so hard to leave a review without spoiling the book.

Liar revolves around the friendship between 2 best friends Jennie and Freddie and then along comes David thus ensues a tale of jealousy, suspense and shocking twists that will keep you hooked to the very last page!!!!

Thank you very much to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the opportunity to read and review Liars in return for an honest review.

Really well written thriller that once I start I struggled to put it down.

With several twists and turns in the story lines, all believable with convincing characters

A solid thriller.
How much can we trust the people around us? What do you do if you fear for someone you love? To what extent do we all manipulate those around us?
This tale focuses on Jenny and her relationships. Our feelings towards her shift throughout the book. Is she a victim or the perpetrator of the crimes taking place around her?
I was suspicious of Jenny, but the depth of her deception never really becomes clear. She certainly isn’t the only one indulging in her own fantasies about the life she’s living. The ‘big twist’ was hinted at, but there were deceptions within deceptions which stopped this novel being too obvious!
In the ARC I received from NetGalley the title was ‘The Good Liar’...I can see how it makes sense to change it when every character in the book is more than a little free with the truth.
