I could not make myself finish this book. Some characters are likable (Addy, Trent and his family), some are so flat (it took me some time to distinguish between Taylor and Tray). But what I couldn't get over were the thin plot.and all the references to the first volume of the series. The second volume feels like a new chapter, instead of creating new characters, the author recycles them, even the ones who should stay away for good. And the plot... the moment Trent is interrogated and tells the police that Rea was with him in the office though we've just read Kristen was the one who gave Addy the documents used to set her car on fire... I put down the book!

Addy Collins grew up in Haven, but her family life was never a happy one. Her mother was cold and almost cruel to the point that Addy thought she had been a mistake. Her father wasn't any better and neither of them showed her any love. At her first opportunity she left home and was working for FREE, environmental activists who were currently in Haven to find out what the McGowan family were up to. It was clearly something big as there was a lot of secrecy about their latest project. Being an old school friend of Trent McGowan might have helped get her more information for FREE and spending time with one of the most handsome men in Haven was an added bonus.

Trent McGowan was very pleased to see Addy back in town, that girl had always fascinated him. She was very intelligent and strong willed, but also beautiful and he really wanted to get to know her better.

As ever with Jill's books, a good few twists and turns in the plot, a few good strong characters, all mixed in with Some drama that will keep you guessing who is behind the bad things that happen. Great story that could be read as a standalone book.

Trent and Addy are on opposite sides as far as their jobs. Started out that each was trying to get the other to share secrets, but ended up trusting each other more everyday.
I really enjoyed Never Let Go, and can't wait to read the next book in this series. The wait will be hard. I want to see what happens next.

The suspense is killing me. I need to get to the root of the problem and destruction like NOW... This had even more WTF moments but I would say the Brian may have straightened up. His talk with Addy had more meaning that what was shown. I still can’t get a handle on Dennis and his beef. Carl is just bitter and want something he didn’t work for.

Now let’s get to the stars.... Trent sexy self and Adrianna. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect match. His truths and her past gutted me. I cried, laughed, and stood side by side with Addy from beginning to end. She got her strength and voice from Trent showing her love and friendship. It was solidified by the letter her father wrote. Jill did this series proud by bring on more drama and dislike. She also showcased how a family unit stands and multiply.

Adrianna Collins is a campaigning activist and environmentalist. She spends her time moving to wherever her help and expertise are needed in the best interests of the natural world. In this novel she returns to her hometown to fight off a land deal that is thought to involve fracking. She meets up with some old school friends, some nice and welcoming, others not so much so.
Trent McGowan is the middle of the three McGowan brothers. They have also returned to their hometown in order to run the family oil business after the death of their father. Trent is the project manager of a mysterious, secret, building scheme on a large plot of land. It looks very fishy to the environmentalists and at first it appears as though Trent and Addy are on opposite sides of the fence, but not everything is as it at first seems to be.
Trent and Addy are, and have always been in love with each other. What started as a teenage attraction soon becomes a sizzling romance when they meet up once more. This is their story, haunted be demons of the past. Trent is determined to prove that he has changed from a playboy and that he is one of the good guys. Meanwhile, a shadowy figure is out to cause as much hurt and trouble as they possibly can.
‘Never Let Go’ is about family loyalty, friendship, love and subterfuge. It is about proving to be what you really are. The story is vividly told with gorgeous descriptions of the local unspoilt scenery in Haven, Montana. The characters are believable, each with their own agendas and a part to play in the developing story. I was quickly drawn into their world and eager to read on to find out how the story ended. I would like to thank NetGalley and publisher Montlake Romance for my copy of this novel, sent to me in return for an honest review. This is a rewarding and pleasant read. It’s a 7.5/10 from me.

Never Let Go takes us back to the close knit McGowan family in small town Montana. Trent and Addy have known each other for years but Addy wasn't the type of girl Trent usually dated all those years ago. Addy is on a mission with her job and Trent is basically standing in her way but this won't stop the sexual chemistry these two have for each other.

I enjoyed watching how Trent and Addys relationship grew and how the rest of Addys family story evolved. Great story that kept me turning the pages. Looking forward to the next instalment........
