I loved this novella so much. Dani Rene is one of those authors you Don't hesitate to pick up and read. Run Callan is a working sing mom who is raising her daughter alone. She has been hurt in the past and she doesn't want to or really have time for a relationship. Enter Slade Maddox who is infatuated with her from the moment he meets her. This is a man determined to break down her walls and get to know her the way he wants to. You have to read the book to see what happens nuts its amazing and you're going to love it

Loved the characters in this book. This was my first time reading this author. Very impressed! And would read again!

Hot, sweet, and hard to put down....this book is a quick, fun read. Abandonment has left our heroine, Ryn, afraid to trust men and let them close to her or her daughter, Roxie. But Slade is totally smitten and he just can't leave Ryn alone. The best bonus is that he and Roxie are instant buddies.
Check this one out. It's worth the read. Word of Warning: sexual content. Not appropriate for young readers.

Quick fast read that keep you invested from the beginning. Slade is a guy who usually doesn't sleep with the same girl twice. Until he meets Ryn at his friend's tattoo parlor. She is what he has been looking for and he won't take no for an answer.

Ink Him Up

The prologue primed me for a completely different story...that said, it lacked conflict, but was in no way offensive; and even presented a cute distraction from the lack of complication in this quick story, with steamy scenes.

Enjoyed this book. First time reading this author and I enjoyed the way the characters were built up and the storyline for such a quick read.
Very hot and sexy read. I will be checking out this Authors other reads.

Another short story in this series.....and if you can get past the insta-attraction, insta-sex, and insta-love, it was good! Haha!

Slade is a detective and Ryn a tattoo artist. I loved their connection and the sex was HOT!

I’m absolutely loving the dirty bits books series by all different authors. This one is by Dani Rene who is new to me but definitely not for long after reading this book. The author has done such a fantastic job with this book and it really shows in the story when your reading this book. Amazing storyline that pulled me right into the story from the get go and the fantastic characters kept me glued to the pages till the very end. The romance and chemistry where the added bonus to such a fantastic book that totally deserves the 5 stars I’ve given this book and I can’t wait for more books in the dirty bits series and now this author 😊 I would absolutely recommend this book to everyone

Holy ink!! Another hot one from Ms. Rene! I'm not a huge fan of dominating male tropes, but Ms. Rene writes so well and so sexy that I can definitely overlook that.

Terribly cliche and the length didn't help matters. Save your money for a much better read.

I’ve heard of Ms. René before, but it wasn’t until I saw a teaser for Madd Ink that got me thinking, I NEED to read that! I got it, I read it — I loved it. It was a great little book and I will definitely be picking up more from Ms. René in the future! 

I loved Slade and Ryn as people and I loved their relationship. They’re both good, strong people and it wasn’t a hardship at all to be in their heads. I loved the banter between them, the teasing, and how Ryn tried to resist Slade, but he didn’t give up on her and they completely fell for each other. 

Man, oh man, does Madd Ink put the dirty in Carina Press’ Dirty Bits line! It was hot and and full of heat and tension. There was more to it though, there were some truly sweet, heart melting moments. You can read Madd Ink in one sitting and it’s the perfect book if you’re in the mood for an alpha, a strong heroine, and good, fun, naughty, sweet times. 

Madd Ink is a standalone, it’s told from Slade and Ryn’s POV, and they do get their HEA ending.

Dirty Bits is the perfect description for these books. MADD Ink was a short and dirty with a side of sweet. Hero is a tattooed, bad boy who’s also a police detective. Heroine is a tattoo artist and single mom of a beautiful little girl. She’s jaded by her daughters father. Shade is known as a total womanizer and the reason Ryan won’t give him a chance...that is until Slade wore her down. Because of the shortness, the relationship moves very quickly. It’s a great book for when you got an hour or two to relax and read. ARC provided by NetGalley.

This is a short novella that delivers what it promises - a sexy, insta-lust and insta-love romance. Slade's best friend Jag owns a tattoo parlor and Ryn works there, doing the best she can to provide for her daughter Roxie as a single mom. Because of Slade's reputation as a player, Ryn is hesitant to get involved, but Slade proves he's a good guy all around, especially by treating her daughter with care just like he treats her. It's perhaps a bit unrealistic to assume a guy who is more interested in playing the field would suddenly want to settle down with Ryn and her daughter, but that's the way the story goes, with a happy ending for the new family. It's a quick, fun read.

3.5 stars: Carina Press recently came out with a new imprint called "The Dirty Bits". They are short novellas that are meant to be read in an hour or two. They are usually insta-love and pretty steamy. Madd Ink is the first one I picked up. Novellas are fun, quick reads, but they never seem long enough for me.

I did end up liking Madd Ink. I liked the relationship between Ryn and Slade. It wasn't completely insta-love as they did seem to spend time together before ending up in the bedroom. I just wish it was longer. There was definitely a lot of back story, I would have loved for both characters. I wanted more of Slade as a cop. It would have been a great longer novel. If you are in for a quick steamy romance, I recommend this one.

I am a big fan of these short stories, and I enjoy the premise greatly. I think the idea behind this one was really good, but somehow the story didn't flow as well as some of the others. I found that there were some elements which didn't quite make sense to me.

It is a sweet, as well as sexy story, and gives the reader some super sexy moments and a desirable ending.

Slade is a player. There is just no way around it. He likes playing the field and having a new woman each night. Despite his partner's warnings that someday he'd be drawn to just one woman, Slade just doesn't believe that.

Ryn is working hard to ensure that her daughter, Roxie, has an amazing life. Ryn is talented and patient with her clients, but the one client she can't really stand is Slade. When her boss asks her to take a last-minute client, she readily agrees. However, when Slade walks in, she regrets that. She is attracted to Slade, but also knows his reputation.

I liked how Ryn was able to set aside her preconceived notions about Slade. She allowed him to show her just the kind of man he could be with her by his side. Slade was kind and gentle with both Ryn and Roxie. He grew as a character drastically throughout this short story.

While there were some aspects that were very fast and not well explained, you could tell that Ryn and Slade had great chemistry.

This is a fast paced read that tells Ryn and Slade’s story. Slade is a cop with a playboy reputation and wants nothing to do with that kind of man. Slade plans on making her change her mind. Great addition to this series and very steamy. I liked it!

Dani Rene writes a lot of books that I enjoy reading. Some of them are dark and twisted. Some of them are not. Some of them are light, fluffy pieces of mind-candy that will give you a nice, hot happy. This one falls into the latter category. I'll definitely be keeping it around for days when I need something quick and easy to read.

Ryn learned that men can't be trusted. She's more than willing to stick with that lesson when notorious man slut Slate Maddox shows an interest in her. She doesn't want to be a notch in his bedpost and she doesn't want to let him in her life if he's just going to get bored and walk away. Slade is bound and determined to break through her walls.

Very hot and steamy, very quick and easy to read. I liked the byplay between Ryn and Slade. They are magnetic and so drawn to each other. Great read.
